  • Matlab - applying low-pass filter to a vector?

    - by waitinforatrain
If I have a simple low-pass filter, e.g. filt = fir1(20, 0.2); and a matrix with a list of numbers (a signal), e.g. [0.1, -0.2, 0.3, -0.4] etc, how do I actually apply the filter I've created to this signal? Seems like a simple question but I've been stuck for hours. Do I need to manually calculate it from the filter coefficients?

  • How to get rank based on SUM's?

    - by Kenan
I have comments table where everything is stored, and i have to SUM everything and add BEST ANSWER*10. I need rank for whole list, and how to show rank for specified user/ID. Here is the SQL: SELECT m.member_id AS member_id, (SUM(c.vote_value) + SUM(c.best)*10) AS total FROM comments c LEFT JOIN members m ON c.author_id = m.member_id GROUP BY c.author_id ORDER BY total DESC LIMIT {$sql_start}, 20

  • Refreshing Visual Studio's COM references tab

    - by r_honey
I right-clicked on the bin folder of my web app to add a COM Reference. I did not find the desired Com reference in the list. I went back to the Command Line to register by desired Com dll using resvr32. However, the COM references tab does not shows it (looks like the information is cached somewhere). Even restarting VS did not help. Is their any easy way to refresh the COM references tab without rebooting the machine itself??

  • Python 3 with numpy and object refernces

    - by user963386
I need to create a large matrix (array) structure (3 axis) and each element should store the reference to a Python object (myclass instance). Is it possible to use numpy to create such an array. Which data type should I use in order to store Python references? The advantage of numpy is the support of slicing at different levels. The alternativee is to create a nested (nested) list but it is a cumbersome solution.

  • CellTable + AsyncListViewAdapter<T>, stuck at 'loading' when paging

    - by Jaroslav Záruba
Hi I'm trying to make CellTable, AsyncListViewAdapter<T> and SimplePager<T> working together. I managed to display my data, but whenever I click either "go to start" or "go to end" button I get that 'loading' indicator which stays there till the end of days. ( AsyncListViewAdapter<T>.onRangeChanged doesn't even get called this time.) As I have only single row in my data those two buttons should be (and appear to be) disabled. I went through the code-snippets in this thread, but I can't see nothing suspicions in what I've been doing. Is there some obvious answer to a rookie mistake? I shrinked my variable names, hopefully it won't wrap too much. protected class MyAsyncAdapter extends AsyncListViewAdapter<DTO> { @Override protected void onRangeChanged(ListView<DTO> v) { // doesn't get called on go2start/go2end :( Range r = v.getRange(); fetchData(r.getStart(), r.getLength()); } } private void addTable() { // table: CellTable<DTO> table = new CellTable<DTO>(10); table.addColumn(new Column<DTO, String>(new TextCell()) { @Override public String getValue(DTO namespace) { return namespace.getName(); } }, "Name"); // pager: SimplePager<DTO> pager = new SimplePager<DTO>(table); table.setPager(pager); adapter = new MyAsyncAdapter(); adapter.addView(table); // does not make any difference: // adapter.updateDataSize(0, false); // adapter.updateDataSize(10, true); VerticalPanel vPanel = new VerticalPanel(); vPanel.add(table); vPanel.add(pager); RootLayoutPanel.get().add(vPanel); } // success-handler of my fetching AsyncCallback @Override public void onSuccess(List<DTO> data) { // AsyncCallback<List<DTO>> has start field adapter.updateViewData(start, data.size(), data); if(data.size() < length) adapter.updateDataSize(start + data.size(), true); } Regards J. • UNIX find for finding file names NOT ending in specific extensions?

    - by Cristi Diaconescu
Is there a simple way to recursively find all files in a directory hierarchy, that do not end in a list of extensions? E.g. all files that are not *.dll or *.exe UNIX/GNU find, powerful as it is, doesn't seem to have an exclude mode (or I'm missing it), and I've always found it hard to use regular expressions to find things that don't match a particular expression. I'm in a Windows environment (using the GnuWin32 port of most GNU tools), so I'm equally open for Windows-only solutions.

  • Is is possible to apply 2 font filters in SIFR?

    - by Irina
Hello, is it possible to apply 2 font filters that are of the same type but with different parameters in SIFR? I want to get an outline effect around my fonts and tried to apply 2 glow filters with different settings to get the desirable look, but it looks like only 1 filter (last in the list of filters) is applied. Does anyone know if this is possible? Or if not how can I create a font outline in SIFR? Thank you

  • Mathematica: get number of arguments passed to a function?

    - by dbjohn
How do I get the number of arguments passed to a function, such as Plus[2,3,4,5] has 4 arguments passed to it. I was thinking it may involve the use of the function Length and getting the arguments into a list. The intention is to iterate an operation based on the number of arguments for a function. There is probably a simple solution or function but I haven't come across it yet. Any other ways or suggestions are welcome as well?

  • jQuery bind efficiency

    - by chelfers
    I'm having issue with load speed using multiple jQuery binds on a couple thousands elements and inputs, is there a more efficient way of doing this? The site has the ability to switch between product lists via ajax calls, the page cannot refresh. Some lists have 10 items, some 100, some over 2000. The issue of speed arises when I start flipping between the lists; each time the 2000+ item list is loaded the system drags for about 10 seconds. Before I rebuild the list I am setting the target element's html to '', and unbinding the two bindings below. I'm sure it has something to do with all the parent, next, and child calls I am doing in the callbacks. Any help is much appreciated. loop 2500 times <ul> <li><input type="text" class="product-code" /></li> <li>PROD-CODE</li> ... <li>PRICE</li> </ul> end loop $('li.product-code').bind( 'click', function(event){ selector = '#p-'+ $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('lm'); $(selector).val( ( $(selector).val() == '' ? 1 : ( parseFloat( $(selector).val() ) + 1 ) ) ); Remote.Cart.lastProduct = selector; Remote.Cart.Products.Push( Remote.Cart.customerKey, { code : $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('code'), title : $(this).next('li').html(), quantity : $('#p-'+ $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('lm') ).val(), price : $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('price'), weight : $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('weight'), taxable : $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('taxable'), productId : $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('productId'), links : $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('productLinks') }, '#p-'+ $(this).prev('li').children('input').attr('lm'), false, ( parseFloat($(selector).val()) - 1 ) ); return false; }); $('input.product-qty').bind( 'keyup', function(){ Remote.Cart.lastProduct = '#p-'+ $(this).attr('lm'); Remote.Cart.Products.Push( Remote.Cart.customerKey, { code : $(this).attr('code') , title : $(this).parent().next('li').next('li').html(), quantity : $(this).val(), price : $(this).attr('price'), weight : $(this).attr('weight'), taxable : $(this).attr('taxable'), productId : $(this).attr('productId'), links : $(this).attr('productLinks') }, '#p-'+ $(this).attr('lm'), false, previousValue ); });
