  • Cocoa Virtual Keystrokes Pain

    I'm writing an application to respond on a hotkey by copying highlighted text into NSPasteboard's generalPasteboard. Each subsequent hit will not to grab the highlighted text. The generalPasteboard still contains the same contents as before the script is run again. Clearing the generalPasteboard before I run the code is no use, because then the code fails when attempting to read the pasteboard contents. So I tried the next suggested solution: CFRelease(CGEventCreate(NULL)); CGEventRef event1, event2, event3, event4; event1 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)50, true); event2 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)8, true); event3 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)8, false); event4 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)50, false); CGEventPost(kCGHIDEventTap, event1); CGEventPost(kCGHIDEventTap, event2); CGEventPost(kCGHIDEventTap, event3); CGEventPost(kCGHIDEventTap, event4); The above should send the keystrokes Command + c, but all I get is a beep, and the pasteboard contents are unchanged. I'm at wits end - can anyone enlighten me as to what I'm missing or point me out to what I'm overlooking for something so simple?

    I'm trying to declutter the a particular page (e-commerce article edition) It's a big form with many informational sections. I used jQuery tabs to separate the form in three. The first tab is the one who has the submit button. Let's say I go to tab2 and change something, then go to tab1 to make some final edits and submit, the contents of tab2 doesn't get submited because it's hidden and the php script doesn't get the data from any other tab than tab1 I don't want to save until the user actually hits on the submit button. Is there a way to change this behaviour of jquery tabs?

    That is, in Mercurial, if Peter cloned from me by hg clone c:\mycode into his e:\code let's say there is a file code.txt and it contains the text the code is 7 Now, when I change it to the code is 11 and hg commit, then he can get my code using hg pull and hg update. Now his version says the code is 11 But if I decide the change was wrong and hg rollback, then my repository should have the 7 version, while the working directory should have the 11 version. So when Peter does an hg pull and hg update, he should be sync'ed up to my current repository, which is the 7, but I found that it is not the case -- he still gets the 11 version. Why is that? Can he get the rolled back code (the 7)? Does Git behave the same way too?

    I am looking for an equivalent in Chrome to the "break on all errors" functionality of Firebug. In the Scripts tab, Chrome has a "pause on all exceptions", but this is not quite the same as breaking on all errors. For instance, when loading a page with the following code, I would like Chrome to break on the line foo.bar = 42.   • Having a hard time implementing jquery serialScroll to a website. Need help!

    Here's the page I am attempting to implement it on. www.yosoh.com/2010/advertising/beyond/ I have a custom script with figures out the width of all the images, adds it up, then sets the width of that page... I'd like to be able to set the arrows at the top to scroll to the next div (div.portfolioImage). I've followed Ariel Fischer's demo and documentation as best I can... but something keeps escaping me.   • UITableViewCell imageView.contentMode doesn't work in 3.0

    In UITableViewCellStyleDefault, setting the contentMode on the imageView has no result. If I change my build SDK to version 3.1, everything again works. I don't get any warnings or errors when compiling on 3.0 but this code: cell.imageView.contentMode = UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit; cell.imageView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:[[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@head.jpg",[gametype objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]lowercaseString]]; seems to default to the UIViewContentModeCenter, so all of my pictures exceed the cell boundaries and encroach on neighboring cells. Let me reiterate that if I change my target to 3.1 everything works correctly and all pictures are scaled accordingly to fit in the default imageView Is this a known bug?

    I am having check box in the column header. The function of this is to check or uncheck all the check boxes in that column.If the row check box is checked and say delete, that row can be deleted from the dataTable. If the row object is used in some other table as a foreign key i put '-' in that row instead of check box which indicates that row cannot be deletable. In these cases if all the row has '-" , there is no need to have the header check box. How to programatically hide this 'Check All | Clear All' check box, if there is nothing to be removed. It would be even preferable to hide the 'Remove' button if there is no selection to be made. What are the best practices to address the above scenario.   • Problems getting text from an openWysiwyg enabled TextBox

    I have a multiline text box on a form. I dropped in the js file for openWYSIWYG and attached it to the textbox. When I submit the form, the text box has no value.     I want a regex which can match conditional comments in a HTML source page so I can remove only those. I want to preserve the regular comments. I would also like to avoid using the .*? notation if possible. The text is foo <!--[if IE]> <style type="text/css"> ul.menu ul li{ font-size: 10px; font-weight:normal; padding-top:0px; } </style> <![endif]--> bar and I want to remove everything in <!--[if IE]> and <![endif]--> EDIT: It is because of BeautifulSoup I want to remove these tags. BeautifulSoup fails to parse and gives an incomplete source EDIT2: [if IE] isn't the only condition. There are lots more and I don't have any list of all possible combinations. EDIT3: Vinko Vrsalovic's solution works, but the actual problem why beautifulsoup failed was because of a rogue comment within the conditional comment. Like <!--[if lt IE 7.]> <script defer type="text/javascript" src="pngfix_253168.js"></script><!--png fix for IE--> <![endif]--> Notice the <!--png fix for IE--> comment? Though my problem was solve, I would love to get a regex solution for this.

  • VS2010 / Code Analysis: Turn off a rule for a project without custom ruleset....

    ...any change? The scenario is this: For our company we develop a standard how code should look. This will be the MS full rule set as it looks now. For some specific projects we may want to turn off specific rules. Simply because for a specific project this is a "known exception". Example? CA1026 - while perfectly ok in most cases, there are 1-2 specific libraries we dont want to change those. We also want to avoid having a custom rule set. OTOH putting in a suppress attribute on every occurance gets pretty convoluted pretty fast. Any way to turn off a code analysis warning for a complete assembly without a custom rule set? We rather have that in a specific file (GlobalSuppressions.cs) than in a rule set for maintenance reasons, and to be more explicit ;)

  • How can I make an AJAX link work once it is moved out of the iFrame?

    Hi, I am using an iFrame with a form that return some content with an AJAX link. I am then moving the returned content out of the iFrame into the main page. However, then the ajax link does not work and the error "Element is null" is created once the link is clicked. How can I move content from the iFrame and still have the AJAX link working?     I have a RESTFUL WCF service returning a .NET custom type as json string. I am using .NET 3.5 framework and I am using JavaScriptSerializer for deserializing it in to my custom type. Serialization to json is handled by WCF. using (WebResponse resp = req.GetResponse()) { using (System.IO.StreamReader sreader = new System.IO.StreamReader(resp.GetResponseStream())) { string jsonString = sreader.ReadToEnd(); CustomType myType = new CustomType(); System.Web.Script.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer serializer = new System.Web.Script.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer(); myType = serializer.Deserialize<CustomType>(jsonString); return myType; } } The problem is that, I have a property (or element) of the CustomType which is generic list of another custom type ChildObject. They are in different namespaces. When I deserialize using the code above, I get all the properties of the CustomType myType including a list of ChildObject. But all the properties of the ChildObject is null. The string returned from the stream reader has all the values for the ChildObject. the values are lost when deserializing. Can anyone help me with this please?

    Hi! I'm running a few Team Fortress 2 servers and I want to write a little management script. Basically the TF2 servers are a fg process which provides a server console, so I can start the server, type status and get an answer from it: ***@purple:~/tf2$ ./start_server_testing Auto detecting CPU Using AMD Optimised binary. VAC secure mode is activated. status hostname: Team Fortress version : 1.0.6.1/15 3883 secure udp/ip : ***.***.133.31:27600 map : ctf_2fort at: 0 x, 0 y, 0 z players : 0 (2 max) # userid name uniqueid connected ping loss state adr Great, now I want to create a script which sends the command sm_reloadadmins to all my servers. The best way I found to do this is using a fifo named pipe. Now what I want to do is having this pipe readonly and non blocking to the server process, so I can write into the pipe and the server executes it, but still I want to write via console one the server, so if I switch back to the fg process of the server and I type status I want an answer printed. I tried this (assuming serverfifo is mkfifo serverfifo): ./start_server_testing < serverfifo Not working, the server won't start until something is written to the pipe. ./start_server_testing <> serverfifo Thats actually working pretty good, I can see the console output of the server and I can write to the fifo and the server executes the commands, but I can't write via console to the server anymore. Also, if I write 'exit' to the pipe (which should end the server) and I'm running it in a screen the screen window is getting killed for some reason (wtf why?). I only need the server to read the fifo without blocking AND all my keyboard input on the server itself should be send to the server AND all server ouput should be written to the console. Is that possible? If yes, how?

    Hi all, I'm trying to create a color picker for Android that looks like a minimalistic version of Gimp's. So, it has a hue slider and a rectangle with saturation/value variants of a color chosen in hue slider. Question: what is the best way to create the rectangle? Right now, I'm creating an 200x200 array of pixels, but it takes ~5sec to create and display rectangle with that array. And I need colors in rectangle to change whenever I change the value in hue slider... Rectangle is bitmap, btw. Can I use color matrices on that and how? Any examples? Thanks in advance!

    Hi, I'm porting an application with EJBs 2.1 from Weblogic9 to JBoss AS5. I have made some of the changes like adding jboss.xml descriptors to EJBs and fixing application.xml of the EAR, but there are still problems when deploying the EAR. Is this a problem with parsing the jboss_2_4.dtd itself? or is it something worng with my descriptors for the EJB? When I try to validate the jboss_2_4.dtd in an XML editor it does complain about a syntax error at line 94:1 , which is the beginning of the first declaration, although it looks fine. Any ideas?
