    Session[Constant] vs Session["String Literal"] Performance I'm retrieving user-specific data like ViewData["CartItems"] = Session["CartItems"]; with a string literal for keys on every request. Should I be using constants for this? If yes, how should I go about implementing frequently used string literals and will it significantly affect performance on a high-traffic site? Related question does not address ASP.NET MVC or Session.

  • quicktime movie layering issues

    I have a site (link below) where the clients work displays on a long horizontal page. The menu is fixed on the left hand side and the images disappear under the menu when scrolling across. The client has now uploaded quicktime movies which do not go under the menu like the images but scroll over the menu. http://www.calebchurchill.com/projects/horny_dog/ I have tried to sort this using z-index but am so far been unsuccessful. Any ideas?

    Hi there I expose my problem, but first I ask you one example otherwise you will understand why, In VB6 when surfing the site and google example I set the textbox the value "Test" and then click on commandbotton I just enter the source webbrowser1.document.all ("g"). value = "Test" WebBrowser1.document.all ("btnG"). Click** I would do the same with the vb.Net but I can not, I'd be happy to accept your advice. Thanks in advance

Tag_Intersect_Table Tag_ID | Article_ID Is it possible query an article and all of its associated tags in one database call? If so, how is this done?

  • CSS layout problem on Firefox with filling space between end of left column and footer

    Basically, the left column is supposed to extend to the footer with the continuous red color. However, in Firefox on pages with lots of text, the column does not extend to the footer and leaves a large white gap--see site: http://library.luhs.org/JHSII/about.html I've tried readjusting the heights, creating the sticky footer, and other things I've read about on this site. So I admit that I'm stumped, and what's really odd is that the layout seems to work in IE as there is no white space!     Most popular browsers, while rendering an image, they display it line-by-line top-to-bottom as it loads. I have a requirement that a wait gif should be displayed while the image is loading. When the image is fully loaded then it should be displayed instead of the wait gif. If it helps, the site is http://farros.gr, main image: /images/bg.jpg and the div containing the image is named #main-content-image.

  • I have a list of names, some of them are fake, I need to use NLP and Python 3.1 to keep the real nam

    I have no clue of where to start on this. I've never done any NLP and only programmed in a Python 3.1, which I have to use. I'm looking at the site http://www.linkedin.com and I have to gather all of the public profiles and some of them have very fake names, like 'aaaaaa k dudujjek' and I've been told I can use NLP to find the real names, where would I even start?

I'm aware that DA has plenty of software, but only related to customisations and UI hacks.
