  • DJBDNS DNSCache configuration, svscan won't start

    - by SecurityGate
I've been wracking my brain the last few days trying to setup DJBDNS on my server. I haven't been having too much luck. I have been following the guide provided by the creator of DJBDNS: http://cr.yp.to/djbdns/run-server.html Here is a run-through of where I am: Both services are up: [root@Happycat tinydns]$ svstat /service/tinydns/ /service/tinydns/: up (pid 18224) 74454 seconds [root@Happycat tinydns]$ svstat /service/dnscache/ /service/dnscache/: up (pid 2733) 2184 seconds My /etc/resolv.conf file: nameserver 127.0.0.1 My $PATH: [root@Happycat ~]$ echo $PATH /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/var/qmail/bin/:/usr/nexkit/bin:/root/bin My tinydns/root/data records: ..:69.160.56.65:a:259200 .ns1.benwilk.com:69.160.56.65:a:259200 .ns2.benwilk.com:69.160.56.65:a:259200 .56.160.69.in-addr.arpa:69.160.56.65:a:259200 .56.160.69.in-addr.arpa:69.160.56.65:b:259200 =benwilk.com:69.160.56.65:86400 =openbarrel.net:69.160.56.65:86400 +www.openbarrel.net:69.160.56.65:86400 +www.benwilk.com:69.160.56.65:86400 Tiny dns can recognize the records set: [root@Happycat root]$ tinydns-get a benwilk.com 1 benwilk.com: 78 bytes, 1+1+1+1 records, response, authoritative, noerror query: 1 benwilk.com answer: benwilk.com 86400 A 69.160.56.65 authority: . 259200 NS a.ns additional: a.ns 259200 A 69.160.56.65 But then it comes to a grinding halt: svscan /service/tinydns/ supervise: fatal: unable to start env/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure supervise: fatal: unable to start supervise/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start root/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start env/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start supervise/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start root/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start env/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start supervise/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start root/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start env/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start supervise/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start root/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start env/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start supervise/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start root/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure supervise: fatal: unable to start env/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start supervise/run: file does not exist supervise: fatal: unable to start root/run: file does not exist I'm assuming I have to set something with DNScache, and to be honest, it gets a bit confusing. I'm not sure whether to set it's IP address to 127.0.0.1 or one of the other IP addresses on the system. What am I missing from here?

  • Bash script not adding variables to session

    - by travega
I have a bash script that I have added as a startup application. It does a bunch of exports and alias assignment. #! /bin/bash alias devhm='cd ${DEV_HOME}; ll'; alias wlhm='cd ${WL_HOME}; ll'; alias dirch='watch --interval=1 "ls -la"'; alias vols='watch --interval=1 "df -h"'; alias svn-update='svn update --depth infinity ./*'; alias mci="~/mci.sh"; alias vncserver="vncserver -geometry 1680x1050"; alias ..="cd .."; alias hist="history | grep "; export PROXY_HOST=proxy.my.setup; export PROXY_PORT=3128; export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH/usr/lib/oracle/12.1/client64/lib; export ORACLE_HOME=/usr/lib/oracle/12.1/client64; export TNS_ADMIN=${ORACLE_HOME}/network/admin; echo "DONE!"; But none of these values are available in my terminal sessions anymore. Even when I run the script straight into the terminal like so: ./setup.sh I see the "DONE!" prompt printed but no aliases or env variables are set. If I copy and paste the contents of the file into the terminal the aliases and env variables are set. I have tried adding a line to execute the script from .bashrc also but still no aliases or env variables set. Any ideas what might be going on here? Also could anyone suggest a better way to have these env variables/aliases added to every terminal session?

  • rsync problems and security concerns

    - by MB.
Hi I am attempting to use rsync to copy files between two linux servers. both on 10.04.4 I have set up the ssh and a script running under a cron job. this is the message i get back from the cron job. To: mark@ubuntu Subject: Cron ~/rsync.sh Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ANSI_X3.4-1968 X-Cron-Env: X-Cron-Env: X-Cron-Env: X-Cron-Env: Message-Id: <20120708183802.E0D54FC2C0@ubuntu Date: Sun, 8 Jul 2012 14:38:01 -0400 (EDT) rsync: link_stat "/home/mark/#342#200#223rsh=ssh" failed: No such file or directory (2) rsync: opendir "/Library/WebServer/Documents/.cache" failed: Permission denied (13) rsync: recv_generator: mkdir "/Library/Library" failed: Permission denied (13) * Skipping any contents from this failed directory * rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1060) [sender=3.0.7] Q.1 can anyone tell me why I get this message -- rsync: link_stat "/home/mark/#342#200#223rsh=ssh" failed: No such file or directory (2) the script is: #!/bin/bash SOURCEPATH='/Library' DESTPATH='/Library' DESTHOST='192.168.1.15' DESTUSER='mark' LOGFILE='rsync.log' echo $'\n\n' >> $LOGFILE rsync -av –rsh=ssh $SOURCEPATH $DESTUSER@$DESTHOST:$DESTPATH 2>&1 >> $LOGFILE echo “Completed at: `/bin/date`” >> $LOGFILE Q2. I know I have several problems with the permissions all of the files I am copying usually require me to use sudo to manipulate them. My question is then is there a way i can run this job without giving my user root access or using root in the login ?? Thanks for the help .

  • Howto fix "[Errno 13] Permission denied" in mailman mailing lists

    - by Michael
After migrating domains from one plesk server onto another, I got several of those mails every day: (the target mailbox does not exist, so I get those as undeliverable mail bounces) Return-Path: <[email protected]> Received: (qmail 26460 invoked by uid 38); 26 May 2012 12:00:02 +0200 Date: 26 May 2012 12:00:02 +0200 Message-ID: <20120526100002.xyzxx.qmail@lvpsxxx-xx-xx-xx.dedicated.hosteurope.de> From: [email protected] (Cron Daemon) To: [email protected] Subject: Cron <list@lvpsxxx-xx-xx-xx> [ -x /usr/lib/mailman/cron/senddigests ] && /usr/lib/mailman/cron/senddigests Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ANSI_X3.4-1968 X-Cron-Env: <SHELL=/bin/sh> X-Cron-Env: <HOME=/var/list> X-Cron-Env: <PATH=/usr/bin:/bin> X-Cron-Env: <LOGNAME=list> List: xyzxyz: problem processing /var/lib/mailman/lists/xyzxyz/digest.mbox: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/lib/mailman/archives/private/xyzxyz' I tried to fix the permissions myself, but the problem still exists.

  • How can I properly create /dev/dvd?

    - by chazomaticus
Certain programs look for /dev/dvd by default to find DVDs. When I first boot my computer without a DVD inserted, /dev/dvd exists and points to the correct place (/dev/sr0). However, when I insert a DVD, /dev/dvd disappears. I'd like it to stick around so I don't have to navigate to /dev/sr0 in programs that are looking for DVDs. How do I ensure that the /dev/dvd symlink exists and points to the right place? It looks like I can add something to /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-cd.rules. This site gives a couple of examples, but the 70-persistent-cd.rules file says "add the ENV{GENERATED}=1 flag to your own rules", which isn't part of the examples. The man 7 udev page is impenetrable to me, and I'm not convinced the linked page gives 100% of the information I need. So, what can I do on a modern, Ubuntu 12.04 (or later) system to make /dev/dvd always exist and point to the right device? EDIT: Is it as simple as adding ENV{GENERATED}=1 to the rules in the linked page, something like this: SUBSYSTEM=="block", KERNEL=="sr0", SYMLINK+="dvd", GROUP="cdrom", ENV{GENERATED}=1 Is that the right information for modern Ubuntu? What is ENV{GENERATED} doing there, when it wasn't generated, but hand-written?

  • JMS ConnectionFactory creation error WSVR0073W

    - by scottyab
I must confess I’m not a JMS aficionado, one of our guys has written a Java webservice client [postcode lookup web service] and from a Remote Java client are calling a Message Driven Bean running in Websphere 6.1, using JMS. Getting the following error when attempted to create the Connection Factory. To which configured within Websphere jms/WSProxyQueueConnectionFactory. WARNING: WSVR0073W. Googling WSVR0073W yields little, the error code is an unknown error. Can anyone shed any light on potential issues creating the connection factory. • Java, LDAP: Make it not ignore blank passwords?

    - by Steve
I'm maintaining some legacy Java LDAP code. I know next to nothing about LDAP. The program below basically just sends the userid and password to the LDAP server, receives notification back if the credentials are good. If so, it prints out the LDAP attributes received from the LDAP server, if not it prints out an exception. All works well if a bad password is given. An "invalid credentials" exception gets thrown. However, if a blank password is sent to the LDAP Server, authentication will still happen, LDAP attributes will still be returned. Is this unhappy situation due to the LDAP server allowing blank passwords, or does the code below need to be adjusted such a blank password will get fed to the LDAP server in such a way so it will get rejected? I do have data validation in place. I took it off in a testing environment to solve another issue and noticed this problem. I would prefer not to have this problem underneath the data validation. Thanks much in advance for any information import javax.naming.*; import javax.naming.directory.*; import java.util.*; import java.sql.*; public class LDAPTEST { public static void main(String args[]) { String lcf = "com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory"; String ldapurl = "ldaps://ldap-cit.smew.acme.com:636/o=acme.com"; String loginid = "George.Jetson"; String password = ""; DirContext ctx = null; Hashtable env = new Hashtable(); Attributes attr = null; Attributes resultsAttrs = null; SearchResult result = null; NamingEnumeration results = null; int iResults = 0; int iAttributes = 0; env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, lcf); env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, ldapurl); env.put(Context.SECURITY_PROTOCOL, "ssl"); env.put(Context.SECURITY_AUTHENTICATION, "simple"); env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "uid=" + loginid + ",ou=People,o=acme.com"); env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, password); try { ctx = new InitialDirContext(env); attr = new BasicAttributes(true); attr.put(new BasicAttribute("uid",loginid)); results = ctx.search("ou=People",attr); while (results.hasMore()) { result = (SearchResult)results.next(); resultsAttrs = result.getAttributes(); for (NamingEnumeration enumAttributes = resultsAttrs.getAll(); enumAttributes.hasMore();) { Attribute a = (Attribute)enumAttributes.next(); System.out.println("attribute: " + a.getID() + " : " + a.get().toString()); iAttributes++; }// end for loop iResults++; }// end while loop System.out.println("Records == " + iResults + " Attributes: " + iAttributes); }// end try catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } }// end function main() }// end class LDAPTEST

  • WCF fails to deserialize correct(?) response message security headers (Security header is empty)

    - by Soeteman
I'm communicating with an OC4J webservice, using a WCF client. The client is configured as follows: <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="MyBinding"> <security mode="TransportWithMessageCredential"> <transport clientCredentialType="None" proxyCredentialType="None" realm=""/> <message clientCredentialType="UserName" algorithmSuite="Default"/> </security> </binding> My clientcode looks as follows: ServicePointManager.CertificatePolicy = new AcceptAllCertificatePolicy(); string username = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["user"]; string password = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["pass"]; // client instance maken WebserviceClient client = new WebserviceClient(); client.Endpoint.Binding = new BasicHttpBinding("MyBinding"); // credentials toevoegen client.ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName = username; client.ClientCredentials.UserName.Password = password; //uitvoeren request var response = client.Ping(); I've altered the CertificatePolicy to accept all certificates, because I need to insert Charles (ssl proxy) in between client and server to intercept the actual Xml that is sent across te wire. • WiX 3 Tutorial: Generating file/directory fragments with Heat.exe

    - by Mladen Prajdic
In previous posts I’ve shown you our SuperForm test application solution structure and how the main wxs and wxi include file look like. In this post I’ll show you how to automate inclusion of files to install into your build process. For our SuperForm application we have a single exe to install. But in the real world we have 10s or 100s of different files from dll’s to resource files like pictures. It all depends on what kind of application you’re building. Writing a directory structure for so many files by hand is out of the question. What we need is an automated way to create this structure. Enter Heat.exe. Heat is a command line utility to harvest a file, directory, Visual Studio project, IIS website or performance counters. You might ask what harvesting means? Harvesting is converting a source (file, directory, …) into a component structure saved in a WiX fragment (a wxs) file. There are 2 options you can use: Create a static wxs fragment with Heat and include it in your project. The pro of this is that you can add or remove components by hand. The con is that you have to do the pro part by hand. Automation always beats manual labor. Run heat command line utility in a pre-build event of your WiX project. I prefer this way. By always recreating the whole fragment you don’t have to worry about missing any new files you add. The con of this is that you’ll include files that you otherwise might not want to. There is no perfect solution so pick one and deal with it. I prefer using the second way. A neat way of overcoming the con of the second option is to have a post-build event on your main application project (SuperForm.MainApp in our case) to copy the files needed to be installed in a special location and have the Heat.exe read them from there. I haven’t set this up for this tutorial and I’m simply including all files from the default SuperForm.MainApp \bin directory. Remember how we created a System Environment variable called SuperFormFilesDir? This is where we’ll use it for the first time. The command line text that you have to put into the pre-build event of your WiX project looks like this: "$(WIX)bin\heat.exe" dir "$(SuperFormFilesDir)" -cg SuperFormFiles -gg -scom -sreg -sfrag -srd -dr INSTALLLOCATION -var env.SuperFormFilesDir -out "$(ProjectDir)Fragments\FilesFragment.wxs" After you install WiX you’ll get the WIX environment variable. In the pre/post-build events environment variables are referenced like this: $(WIX). By using this you don’t have to think about the installation path of the WiX. Remember: for 32 bit applications Program files folder is named differently between 32 and 64 bit systems. $(ProjectDir) is obviously the path to your project and is a Visual Studio built in variable. You can view all Heat.exe options by running it without parameters but I’ll explain some that stick out the most. dir "$(SuperFormFilesDir)": tell Heat to harvest the whole directory at the set location. That is the location we’ve set in our System Environment variable. –cg SuperFormFiles: the name of the Component group that will be created. This name is included in out Feature tag as is seen in the previous post. -dr INSTALLLOCATION: the directory reference this fragment will fall under. You can see the top level directory structure in the previous post. -var env.SuperFormFilesDir: the name of the variable that will replace the SourceDir text that would otherwise appear in the fragment file. -out "$(ProjectDir)Fragments\FilesFragment.wxs": the full path and name under which the fragment file will be saved. If you have source control you have to include the FilesFragment.wxs into your project but remove its source control binding. There is nothing too complicated about this. In the end it turns out that this sort of automation is great! There are a few other ways that Heat.exe can compose the wxs file but this is the one I prefer. It just seems the clearest. Play with its options to see what can it do. It’s one awesome little tool.   WiX 3 tutorial by Mladen Prajdic navigation WiX 3 Tutorial: Solution/Project structure and Dev resources WiX 3 Tutorial: Understanding main wxs and wxi file WiX 3 Tutorial: Generating file/directory fragments with Heat.exe

  • SCons does not clean all files

    - by meowsqueak
I have a file system containing directories of "builds", each of which contains a file called "build-info.xml". However some of the builds happened before the build script generated "build-info.xml" so in that case I have a somewhat non-trivial SCons SConstruct that is used to generate a skeleton build-info.xml so that it can be used as a dependency for further rules. I.e.: for each directory: if build-info.xml already exists, do nothing. More importantly, do not remove it on a 'scons --clean'. if build-info.xml does not exist, generate a skeleton one instead - build-info.xml has no dependencies on any other files - the skeleton is essentially minimal defaults. during a --clean, remove build-info.xml if it was generated, otherwise leave it be. My SConstruct looks something like this: def generate_actions_BuildInfoXML(source, target, env, for_signature): cmd = "python '%s/bin/create-build-info-xml.py' --version $VERSION --path . --output ${TARGET.file}" % (Dir('#').abspath,) return cmd bld = Builder(generator = generate_actions_BuildInfoXML, chdir = 1) env.Append(BUILDERS = { "BuildInfoXML" : bld }) ... # VERSION = some arbitrary string, not important here # path = filesystem path, set elsewhere build_info_xml = "%s/build-info.xml" % (path,) if not os.path.exists(build_info_xml): env.BuildInfoXML(build_info_xml, None, VERSION = build) My problem is that 'scons --clean' does not remove the generated build-info.xml files. I played around with env.Clean(t, build_info_xml) within the 'if' but I was unable to get this to work - mainly because I could not work out what to assign to 't' - I want a generated build-info.xml to be cleaned unconditionally, rather than based on the cleaning of another target, and I wasn't able to get this to work. If I tried a simple env.Clean(None, "build_info_xml") after but outside the 'if' I found that SCons would clean every single build-info.xml file including those that weren't generated. Not good either. What I'd like to know is how SCons goes about determining which files should be cleaned and which should not. Is there something funny about the way I've used a generator function that prevents SCons from recording this target as a Clean candidate?

  • How to change TXSDateTime SOAP serialization in Delphi 7?

    - by LukLed
I am trying to use Java based webservice and have soap request: <?xml version="1.0"?> <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body xmlns:NS1="http://something/"> <NS1:getRequest id="1"> <sessionId xsi:type="xsd:string"></sessionId> <reportType xsi:type="NS1:reportType">ALL</reportType> <xsd:dateFrom xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-30T23:29:43.088+02:00</xsd:dateFrom> <xsd:dateTo xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-31T23:29:43.728+02:00</xsd:dateTo> </NS1:getRequest> <parameters href="#1" /> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> It doesn't work, because webservice doesn't recognize dates as parameters. When I change <xsd:dateFrom xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-30T23:29:43.088+02:00</xsd:dateFrom> <xsd:dateTo xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-31T23:29:43.728+02:00</xsd:dateTo> to <dateFrom xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-30T23:29:43.088+02:00</xsd:dateFrom> <dateTo xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-31T23:29:43.728+02:00</xsd:dateTo> everything works ok, but Delphi (without Delphi source code changes) doesn't allow to change generated XML, it has only some options. Is it possible to set conversion options, so TSXDateTime is converted to <dateFrom, not <xsd:dateFrom tag? Did you meet that problem?

  • Delphi SOAP Envelope and WCF

    - by Chris
Hi all, I am working on a system that provides a soap interface. One of the systems that are going to use the interface is coded in Delphi 7. The web service is developed with WCF, basic http binding, SOAP 1.1. If I use SOAP UI (JAVA), the service works properly. But Delphi seems to do special things here ;) This is how the message looks like in SOAP UI: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ser="http://services.xxx.de/xxx"> <soapenv:Header/> <soapenv:Body> <ser:GetCustomer> <!--Optional:--> <ser:GetCustomerRequest> <!-- this is a data contract --> <ser:Id>?</ser:Id> </ser:GetCustomerRequest> </ser:GetCustomer> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> I am not a delphi developer , but I developed a simple test client to see what's going wrong. This what Delphi sends as a SOAP envelope. <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:NS2="http://services.xxx.de/xxx"> <NS1:GetCustomer xmlns:NS1="http://services.xxx.de/xxx"> <GetCustomerRequest href="#1"/> </NS1:GetCustomer> <NS2:GetCustomerRequest id="1" xsi:type="NS2:GetCustomerRequest"> <Id xsi:type="xsd:int">253</Id> </NS2:GetCustomerRequest> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> WCF throws an error that is in German language... Zeile 1, Position 599. Means something like The Body was expected. But instead the Element "NS2:GetCustomerReques" was found. Now my questions is: Can I somehow change the way Delphi creates the envelope? Or are the ways to make WCF work with such message formats? Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • heroku mongohq and mongoid Mongo::ConnectionFailure

    - by Ole Morten Amundsen
I have added the mongoHQ addon for mongodb at heroku. It crashes with something like this. connect_to_master': failed to connect to any given host:port (Mongo::ConnectionFailure) The descriptions online (heroku mongohq) are more directed towards mongomapper, as I see it. I'm running ruby 1.9.1 and rails 3-beta with mongoid. My feeling says that there's something with ENV['MONGOHQ_URL'], which it says the MongoHQ addon sets, but I haven't set MONGOHQ_URL anywhere in my app. I guess the problem is in my mongoid.yml ? defaults: &defaults host: localhost development: <<: *defaults database: aliado_development test: <<: *defaults database: aliado_test # set these environment variables on your prod server production: <<: *defaults host: <%= ENV['MONGOID_HOST'] %> port: <%= ENV['MONGOID_PORT'] %> username: <%= ENV['MONGOID_USERNAME'] %> password: <%= ENV['MONGOID_PASSWORD'] %> database: <%= ENV['MONGOID_DATABASE'] %> It works fine locally, but fails at heroku, more stack trace: ==> crashlog.log <== Cannot write to outdated .bundle/environment.rb to update it /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/rack-1.1.0/lib/rack.rb:14: warning: already initialized constant VERSION /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/mongo-0.20.1/lib/mongo/connection.rb:435:in `connect_to_master': failed to connect to any given host:port (Mongo::ConnectionFailure) from /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/mongo-0.20.1/lib/mongo/connection.rb:112:in `initialize' from /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/mongoid-2.0.0.beta4 /lib/mongoid/railtie.rb:32:in `new' from /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/mongoid-2.0.0.beta4/lib/mongoid/railtie.rb:32:in `block (2 levels) in <class:Railtie>' from /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/mongoid-2.0.0.beta4/lib/mongoid.rb:110:in `configure' from /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/mongoid-2.0.0.beta4/lib/mongoid/railtie.rb:21:in `block in <class:Railtie>' from /disk1/home/slugs/176479_b14df52_b875/mnt/.bundle/gems/gems/railties-3.0.0.beta3/lib/rails/initializable.rb:25:in `instance_exec' ..... • Why is "wsdl" namespace interjected into action name when using savon for ruby soap communication?

    - by Nick Gorbikoff
I'm trying to access a SOAP service i don't control. One of the actions is called ProcessMessage. I follow example and generate a SOAP request, but I get an error back saying that the action doesn't exist. I traced the problem to the way the body of the envelope is generated. <env:Envelope ... "> <env:Header> <wsse:Security ... "> <wsse:UsernameToken ..."> <wsse:Username>USER</wsse:Username> <wsse:Nonce>658e702d5feff1777a6c741847239eb5d6d86e48</wsse:Nonce> <wsu:Created>2010-02-18T02:05:25Z</wsu:Created> <wsse:Password ... >password</wsse:Password> </wsse:UsernameToken> </wsse:Security> </env:Header> <env:Body> <wsdl:ProcessMessage> <payload> ...... </payload> </wsdl:ProcessMessage> </env:Body> </env:Envelope> That ProcessMessage tag should be : <ProcessMessage xmlns="http://www.starstandards.org/webservices/2005/10/transport"> That's what it is when it is generated by the sample java app, and it works. That tag is the only difference between what my ruby app generates and the sample java app. Is there any way to get rid of the "wsdl:" namesaplce in front of that one tag and add an attribute like that. Barring that, is there a way to make force the action to be not to be generated by just passed as a string like the rest of the body? Here is my code. require 'rubygems' require 'savon' client = Savon::Client.new "https://gmservices.pp.gm.com/ProcessMessage?wsdl" response = client.process_message! do | soap, wsse | wsse.username = "USER" wsse.password = "password" soap.namespace = "http://www.starstandards.org/webservices/2005/10/transport" #makes no difference soap.action = "ProcessMessage" #makes no difference soap.input = "ProcessMessage" #makes no difference #my body at this point is jsut one big xml string soap.body = "<payload>...</payload>" # putting <ProccessMessage> tag here doesn't help as it just creates a duplicate tag in the body, since Savon keeps interjecting <wsdl:ProcessMessage> tag. end Thank you P.S.: I tried handsoap but it doesn't support httpS and is confusing, and I tried soap4r but but it'even more confusing than handsoap.

  • Django URL regex question

    - by shawnjan
Hey all! I had a quick question about Django URL configuration, and I guess REGEX as well. I have a small configuration application that takes in environments and artifacts in the following way: url(r'^env/(?P<env>\w+)/artifact/(?P<artifact>\w+)/$', 'config.views.ipview', name="bothlist"), Now, this works fine, but what I would like to do is have it be able to have additional parameters that are optional, such as a verbose mode or no formating mode. I know how to do this just fine in the views, but I can't wrap my head around the regex. the call would be something like GET /env/<env>/artifact/<artifact>/<opt:verbose>/<opt:noformat> Any help would be appreciated, thanks! -Shawn

Google does not help (may be I am not searching for the right thing).

  • SCons: How to use the same builders for multiple variants (release/debug) of a program

    - by OK
The SCons User Guide tells about the usage of Multiple Construction Environments to build build multiple versions of a single program and gives the following example: opt = Environment(CCFLAGS = '-O2') dbg = Environment(CCFLAGS = '-g') o = opt.Object('foo-opt', 'foo.c') opt.Program(o) d = dbg.Object('foo-dbg', 'foo.c') dbg.Program(d) Instead of manually assigning different names to the objects compiled with different environments, VariantDir() / variant_dir sounds like a better solution... But if I place the Program() builder inside the SConscript: Import('env') env.Program('foo.c') How can I export different environments to the same SConscript file? opt = Environment(CCFLAGS = '-O2') dbg = Environment(CCFLAGS = '-g') SConscript('SConscript', 'opt', variant_dir='release') #'opt' --> 'env'??? SConscript('SConscript', 'dbg', variant_dir='debug') #'dbg' --> 'env'??? Unfortunately the discussion in the SCons Wiki does not bring more insight to this topic. Thanks for your input!

  • Applying SoapIgnore attribute doesn't take any effect to serialization result

    - by the_V
I'm trying to figure out .NET serialization stuff and experiencing a problem. I've made a simple program to test it and got stuck with using attributes. Here's the code: [Serializable] public class SampleClass { [SoapIgnore] public Guid InstanceId { get; set; } } class Program { static void Main() { SampleClass cl = new SampleClass { InstanceId = Guid.NewGuid() }; SoapFormatter fm = new SoapFormatter(); using (FileStream stream = new FileStream(string.Format("C:\\Temp\\{0}.inv", Guid.NewGuid().ToString().Replace("-", "")), FileMode.Create)) { fm.Serialize(stream, cl); } } } The problem is that InstanceId is not ignored while serialization is done. What I get in .inv file is something like this: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:clr="http://schemas.microsoft.com/soap/encoding/clr/1.0" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <a1:SampleClass id="ref-1" xmlns:a1="http://schemas.microsoft.com/clr/nsassem/TestConsoleApp/TestConsoleApp%2C%20Version%3D1.0.0.0%2C%20Culture%3Dneutral%2C%20PublicKeyToken%3Dnull"> <_x003C_InstanceId_x003E_k__BackingField> <_a>769807168</_a> <_b>27055</_b> <_c>16408</_c> <_d>141</_d> <_e>210</_e> <_f>171</_f> <_g>30</_g> <_h>252</_h> <_i>196</_i> <_j>246</_j> <_k>159</_k> </_x003C_InstanceId_x003E_k__BackingField> </a1:SampleClass> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> As I can understand from documentation InstanceId property is not supposed to be serialized since SoapIgnore attribute is applied to it. Am I missing something?

  • Help regarding Android NDK

    - by Siva Kumar
I am a beginner in using Android NDK. I am using Eclipse and I installed cygwin to build the c file to generate the .so file But while building the c file in cygwin I am always getting the error make: ***No rule to make target 'file.c' ... .Stop I tried building different C codes but for every file it says the same error .. Here is the source code: public class ndktest extends Activity { static { System.loadLibrary("ndkt"); } private native void helloLog(String logThis); @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); helloLog("this is to test log file"); } } file.c void Java_com_ndktest_helloLog(JNIEnv * env, jobject this, jstring logThis) { jboolean isCopy; const char * szLogThis = (*env)->GetStringUTFChars(env, logThis, &isCopy); (*env)->ReleaseStringUTFChars(env, logThis, szLogThis); } And here is my Android.mk LOCAL_PATH := $(call my-dir) include $(CLEAR_VARS) LOCAL_LDLIBS := -llog LOCAL_MODULE := ndkt LOCAL_SRC_FILES := file.c include $(BUILD_SHARED_LIBRARY) I searched for the solution for the cause of error ... but nothing works for me. Can anyone tell me where I am making the mistake ? Thanks, Siva Kumar
