    I'm trying to use Windows Phone 7 Silverlight ZXing Barcode Scanning Library but I'm having some problems. I'm using a background worker to check the image, but when I do this: WP7BarcodeManager.ScanBarcode(this.Image, BarcodeResults_Finished); The code throws an exception: Invalid cross-thread access.     After imaging a 100GB hard drive into an image file with dd, I dd'd the image to a larger hdd After boot get mkrootdev: label / not found I have gone in with finnix and relabeled the partition to the same label with e2label and still have problems. Has anyone resolved this before?

  • Recover data from a Windows Dynamic Volume Spanned Disk

    I have a dynamic volume created with two spanned partitions over two disk. Recently, one disk has started failing, and I want to copy the data inside that disk to another disk, before replacing it. However I don't know how to select only what is inside the failing disk, because the partitions spans across both disks. Maybe imaging the entire disk should do the work? Or I have to copy all the data from both disks? Thanks in advance!

  • How can I find which drivers are the correct ones for my machine?

    I'm currently installing Windows 7 onto a new laptop before imaging it to deploy. I need to install the Wireless and Graphics drivers, but the HP site is offering me both ATI and Intel graphics drivers (at 102MB and 470(!)MB) a pop, as well as Intel, Broadcomm, RealTek and Atheros wireless drivers. Is there a bit of software that will tell me what devices are in the machine so I don't have to go through, trial-and-error and find which is the right driver for the hardware?

  • Ubuntu 14.04:LTS , HPLIP loses USB connection to HP laserjet

    This is my first post, so please let me know if i have inadvertanly broken any rules. Problem There seems to be a problem with HPLIP and USB connections in ubuntu 14.04LTS. After upgrading i managed to get the printing to work but today it has broken. Initial Issue (Solved) After upgrading to unbutntu 14.04 LTS my printer lHP LaserJet 1018 stopped printing (code=12) Looking through the Forumsthere are several issues with printitng and HPLIP so I was able to troubleshoot this. The steps I took were : Reran HPdoctor Ran hp-check Un-installed and installed the latest version of HPLIP (3.14.4) Checked the USB connections lsusb and lsusb-v Re-ran hpcheck Removed the printer from HPLIP Re-ran hpcheck Manually configued HPLIP to the printer hp-setup-g <xxx:yyy> And this worked HPLIP was able to see the printer in the USB , test page printed and was happily working for a few weeks. Current Issue Printer Not working However today my wife complains the printer is not working and checking see that although HPLIP has the same error code and did not seem to be able to see the printer although running lsusb could see the printer. Initially thought this may be due to usb given a new bus/device after being turned on and off and went to repeat the steps above at the moment still seeing an error in that the HPLIP is complaining that it cannot see the device **error: Device not found.   • Can't get HP Officejet 6500 card reader to work.

    This network (wired) printer works great using the latest HPLIP drivers. However when I plug in an SD card, it just blinks and never shows up mounted anywhere. Has anyone come up with a way to mount these?   • Star Trail Photos Taken from the International Space Station

    While most people have seen a star trail photo or two, seeing a set of star trail photos taken from over 300 miles above the Earth’s surface is a treat. Courtesy of Astronaut and Expedition 31 Flight Engineer Don Pettit, the photos capture star trails from the vantage point of the International Space Station. He explains his technique: My star trail images are made by taking a time exposure of about 10 to 15 minutes. However, with modern digital cameras, 30 seconds is about the longest exposure possible, due to electronic detector noise effectively snowing out the image. To achieve the longer exposures I do what many amateur astronomers do. I take multiple 30-second exposures, then ‘stack’ them using imaging software, thus producing the longer exposure.   • Q-Tec Webcam 100 (093a:2460) video quality is horrible at best

    I just bought a new usb webcam for my desktop setup of Ubuntu Natty Narwhal. I plugged it in, started up Cheese, and saw my smiling face. But it was green and lined, very poor quality overall. I am skeptical that this is due to a poor quality webcam. :P I tried it in Skype, Google+, and Gchat, but all of those showed only a black screen. They recognized the webcam as present, but showed no stream from it. Kamoso showed a black screen as well, and Camorama had even poorer quality than Cheese. Here are the details for the webcam from lsusb: Bus 001 Device 005: ID 093a:2460 Pixart Imaging, Inc. Q-TEC WEBCAM 100 Am I missing a driver, or are there settings somewhere I need to tweak?

    Installed HP Linux Imaging and Printing by using install script and something crashed. Now I'm only member of my own group and lp. Which are the default groups for users in Ubuntu 12.10? Same as this? And, out of curiosity, is there some place where this information is logged? As i.e. some log file showing which groups my user was on previous boot? And/or is this information ,(which groups are default), documented somewhere? OK Found answer. Adding when I'm able (haven't got enough points and have to wait hours to answer myself).

I have advanced technical knowledge of C/C++ and Matlab and experience working with C# and VB.NET. Unfortunately I don't have much in the way of commercial experience; unlike a lot of people I know my under-graduate didn't come with a sandwich placement.     It was easy to check if VSTO 2005 SE was installed by just calling MsiGetProductInfo() with the product code {388E4B09-3E71-4649-8921-F44A3A2954A7}, as listed in MSDN. What is the product code for the VSTO 2010/4.0 runtime? Or is there a better way to determine if it's already installed? This is for our installation process. Thanks! Also, I am trying to figure out the same for Windows Imaging Component.

  • Wpf: Image Control does not support .TGA files

    In my application I am using Images, these images can be .tga(Targa Graphic) file as well, when I am creating instance of BitmapImage using .tga file, it throws exception saying "No imaging component suitable to complete this operation was found.". Is there any other way to work with .tga file in wpf? How can I use these(.tga) files just like any other .jpg(Image file) in wpf?

  • UIPopoverController. Is is appropriate to embed a tableViewController within?

    I am doing an iPad imaging app and I am considering UIPopoverController as my workhorse user interface element. The user will spend most of their time immersed in fullscreen content (in both portrait and landscape). When the user wants to select a different piece of content I want to use UIPopoverController to handle that. Is it appropriate to embed a tableViewController in a UIPopoverController to allow in-place scrolling or am I abusing the intended use of UIPopoverController? Thanks, Doug

  • Errors Installing PIL on Mac OS Tiger

    I'm trying to install the Python Imaging Library on Mac OS X 10.4, but I get errors. I'm not sure where the error starts, it's just a huge wall of text when executing sudo python setup.py install. But the last few lines are: ... collect2: ld returned 1 exit status lipo: can't open input file: /var/tmp//ccNKvQpP.out (No such file or directory) error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1 I've googled, but none of the results are working.
