  • Cisco Secure ACS 4.2 + TACACS+ - installed together or?

    I'm tasked with installing Cisco Secure ACS (4.2 as its windows based). Do you install TACACS.net or something similar with ACS or does ACS facilitate the TACACS+ authentication? I can get my device to authenticate against a tacacs.net installation without much trouble but can't seem to figure out how one plugs ACS in, per se. I've installed ACS on the same server (is this my problem?) but no matter what I do I can only get my TACACS+ users to authenticate. Any helps/tips would be greatly appreciated!

  • grep pattern interpretted differently in 2 different systems with same grep version

    We manufacture a linux appliance for data centers, and all are running fedora installed from the same kickstart process. There are different hardware versions, some with IDE hard drives and some SCSI, so the filesystems may be at /dev/sdaN or /dev/hdaN. We have a web interface into these appliances that show disk usage, which is generated using "df | grep /dev/*da". This generally works for both hardware versions, giving an output like follows: /dev/sda2 5952284 3507816 2137228 63% / /dev/sda5 67670876 9128796 55049152 15% /data /dev/sda1 101086 11976 83891 13% /boot However, for one machine, we get the following result from that command: Binary file /dev/sda matches It seems that its grepping files matching /dev/*da for an unknown pattern for some reason, only on this box that is seemingly identical in grep version, packages, kernel, and hardware. I switched the grep pattern to be "/dev/.da" and everything works as expected on this troublesome box, but I hate not knowing why this is happening. Anyone have any ideas? Or perhaps some other tests to try?

  • Connection error when trying to browse SSAS cube in BIDS

    SQL Server 2008 db instance is installed on a win 2003 server, networked (but no domain) VM. I can browse a cube from BIDS on the same VM, but when I try to browse the same cube on a windows 7 (home premium) networked machine, I get a connection error. The error suggests checking the datasource settings which I have, and when I click "test connection" on the datasource it is successful. Looking for probably causes and solutions?

I keep getting the following message when trying to click on my Vista computer from my Windows 7: Windows cannot access \\COMPUTER-NAME You do not have permission to access \\COMPUTER-NAME. Contact your network administrator to request access. How do you access a Vista shared drive from Windows 7 ?

    I want to install the latest version of Git using yum and the RPM repository on kernel.org, but adding the repo to yum.repos.d causes yum to fail with checksum errors. The prevailing solution to this issue seems to be to simply use the repository at Webtatic as answered here on superuser. I know I can also install an older version of Git using the EPEL repo, or compile from the latest source tarball, but honestly I want to understand why I'm having issues using the kernel.org repo.     Hello, I'd like to set up my Dd-WRT firewall so that it uses the VPN service from a VPN provider to access a bunch of destinations and normal route foe all other requests. In detail: giganews.com would be accessed thru VPN VyprVPN normal web sites such as amazon, ebay, et al thru transparent firewall.   • Can you install Ubuntu Server in a Windows PC VM on Windows 7?

    I am running Windows 7 64-bit. I've installed Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode successfully. Next, I downloaded Ubuntu Server 9.04 32-bit. I created a new virtual machine with a dynamically expanding .vhd, loaded the Ubuntu .iso, and booted the machine. I successfully made it through the install, but when the machine reboots, I get a segmentation fault. Here is a screenshot. Has anyone successfully installed Ubuntu on Windows Virtual PC?

  • Moved files only opening as 'read-only' in Excel

    I moved a large directory of Excel files to another machine. When I sign in as myself (administrator signing into domain) then the files open just fine, but when I sign in as a Power User directly onto the machine, the files open as 'Read-Only'. I've reset all the attributes through both Windows and DOS, but to no avail. Also I checked on the Search Indexing bug, but indexing is already turned off. Any ideas?

  • Permissions changed after Mail.app and associated data crash

    Hi there, I experienced a major Mail.app crash on Snow Leopard couple of days ago. It took me hours to be able to make the folder structure usable again by Mail. I changed permissions back to 755 for all subfolders starting from and including ~/Library/Mail Mail now works again but settings such as folder order in the left side bar and mail ordered by date in some folders don't persist anymore. Any idea? Thxs for help

    Hello, I have a RS232C/USB cable to connect an electronic device to my iMac Intel (MacOSX SnowLeo 10.6.3). Is there a utility program that allows for sending ASCII characters on the USB port that the RS232C device will understand? If possible, I'd rather avoid programming.   • How to fix the IE8 favorites menu?

    I'm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8, and occasionally one off my favorites (Link) folders will get a very small box in the upper right corner (on the favorites menu drop down itself) and not open at all. I can't figure out how it got there or how to disable it, and I have to completely shut IE down and restart it to get rid of it. Any clues on what's going on?

I need them to disappear from the network (and stay gone across reboots), without my having to actually remove the shares (because they need to re-appear in a week).   • Rolling desktop recorder?

    I want a piece of software that will constantly record what I'm doing on my desktop, discarding footage that's over [30] seconds old. Its recording would be a rolling one. The idea is that I can somehow hit a button and see "what just happened". I don't want to have to babysit it. That is, I don't want a piece of software designed for screencasting (which I'm not trying to do). My bias against that is based on my (maybe incorrect?) assumption that I'd regularly have to start/stop the recording throughout the day. The idea is that this piece of software would consume fewer resources (than a screencast recorder) on my box, as it's only keeping a very limited amount of footage in memory (and low quality would even be acceptable), because it's discarding frames fairly quickly after they're captured. Where can I find a piece of software with features like this?

  • Many TCP connexions localajaxchat <=> 1e100

I don't get that: as soon as I open a Webpage, whether it's with Firefox or Chrome (I hate so much IE that I didn't test with it), there are tons of TCP connexions between "localajaxchat" and a supposed google ("1e100") domain. I've already read this topic, but my problem seems strange because there are so many TCP connexions for only one page... I don't get it. If someone could explain this problem to me... Thanks a lot!

    Is it possible (using ARN) to make severals groups of instances. Then using differents policy to grant some access to a group of instance only and not the other instances?
