• Combobox select item in dropdown list C#

  I have an combobox poppulated with items from a database table. When I change the text i repopulate the combobox with items from the database table. But when I enter text and the list with suggestions opens no item in de list is selected. And i want a item to be selected so when you press enter that it becomes the selected item. This is a winforms application. I'm able to send an email but I'm not getting the way that allows me to add my own signature.   I am trying to read a file in a servlet. I am using eclipse IDE. I get a FileNotFoundException if I provide relative file name. List<String> ls=new ArrayList<String>(); Scanner input = new Scanner(new File("Input.txt")); while(input.hasNextLine()) { ls.add(input.nextLine()); } The same code works if I put the absolute path like this: Scanner input = new Scanner(new File("F:/Spring and other stuff/AjaxDemo/src/com/pdd/ajax/Input.txt")); The Java file and text file are there in the same folder. Does it searches text file in some other folder ?

  I have a collection of objects and I know that I can sort by NAME (string type) by saying collEquipment.Sort((x, y) = string.Compare(x.ItemName, y.ItemName)); that WORKS. But I want to sort by a ID (integer type) and there is no such thing as Int32.Compare So how do I do this? This doesnt work collEquipment.Sort((x, y) = (x.ID < y.ID); //error I know the answer is going to be really simple. Lambda expressions confuse me.

• Does MultiThreading in Java takes much time for task completion?

  I have to search for a string in 10 large size files (in zip format 70 MB) and have to print the lines with the search string to corresponding 10 output files.(i.e. file 1 output should be in output_file1...file2--- output_file2). The same program takes 15 mins for a single file. But if use 10 threads to read 10 files and to write in 10 different files it should complete in 15 mins but its taking 40 mins. How can I solve this. Or multithreading will take this much time only?

• Dreamweaver recordset filter - Display all records as default

  I am trying to create a simple search form to filter the results in the dynamic table. The search form is on the same pages as the results and posts to itself. I get the search string from the post variable. It is working, but I can't figure out how to set the default value to display all results. Dreamweaver automatically sets the default value to -1, and therefore no results are displayed on the initial load. How do I change this to display ALL records as default and the filter only if there is search string defined.

  hELLO ! Here i have a simple class example with three fields of type class B and some other stuff. As you can see im listening on every child object change. Since i could need alot of properties of type class B i wonder if there is a way of shrinking the code. Creating a listener + a method for each seems like i will have ALOT of code. How would i fix this ... using a dictionary or something similar?   I am using json with unicode text, and having a problem with the IE8 native json implementation. <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <script> var stringified = JSON.stringify("?????? olé"); alert(stringified); </script> Using json2.js or FireFox native json, the alert() string is the same as in the original one. IE8 on the other hand returns Unicode values rather than the original text \u0e2a\u0e27\u0e31\u0e2a\u0e14\u0e35 ol\u00e9 . Is there an easy way to make IE behave like the others, or convert this string to how it should be ? And would you regard this as a bug in IE, I thought native json implementations were supposed to be drop-in identical replacements for json2.js ?
