• Which online form builders offer conditional logic/branching?

  I have a survey with the following form fields: Country Age Male/Female Undergraduate/Graduate Question? Yes No If No, what about this and that? Yes No Google Forms and SurveyMonkey don't seem to allow things like the above. For question one I could ask, "What country are you from?" with a textbox as an answer section and work around it. But how do I go about creating questions five and six? I am not able to figure out how to do it except for having one more question that says "If your answer to the previous question was No, then blah blah (else skip this question)". Any suggestions, apart from creating my own custom website with JavaScript and a backend database?

• Admin form that generates an email confirmation ends up in SPAM [duplicate]

  This question already has an answer here: How can I prevent my mail from being classified as spam? 10 answers I have an admin form that I have setup for a client, that generates an email confirmation from a template I have designer... It works really well but it ends up in spam some of the time, and this is real frustrating as it is just confirming some details for the customer of what they have just booked, not at all spam, and is accessed via a page where the admin requires login. Any suggestions as to why this may end up in spam. It does have dollar signs ($$) as it is confirming a price, im assuming this is one problem, the rest of it is just general dates and info about the confirmation. Is there any suggestions on how to get this out of spam? thanks in advance

• Expected time for an CakePHP MVC form/controller and db make up

  I would like to know, what is an average time for building a form in MVC pattern with for example CakePHP. I build 8 functions, two of them do custom queries, return json data, split them, expand them in a model in memory and delivers to the view. Those are three queries if you consider and an array to feed view for making some combo box. Why? all these, because I have data from json and I split them in order to make row of data like a table. Like that I changed a bit the edit.ctp but not a lot. And I created a javascript outside, with three functions. One collects data the other upon a change of a combo returnes the selected values, and does also some redirection flow. All this, in average how much time should it take ?

  I have read somewhere that ROA (Resource Oriented Architecture) is SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) with specific constraints added. SOA is the abstract concept of combining discrete pieces of software and ROA is an implementation of SOA with all of the constraints of RESTful services applied to it: SOA = the concept ROA = the concept + specific implementation details I also had my share of posts saying that ROA is different than SOA, then simply fallback to statements like "ROA is REST" and "SOA is SOAP" and presenting the same more or less pertinent comparisons and differences between SOAP and REST. So just to clear up my confusion: Is ROA a specific form of doing SOA?

• How to approach multiple page form with just one save option

  The screen shot shows the magento product upload page. The left nav allows you to switch to different options for the product. Basically each option in the left nav appears as a different page. However when you save and close, it will save all the updates made on each page. Using Foundation4, html, css, js - what would be the best approach to replicating something similar? Say I want 3 pages and one save button option. Using http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/components/section.html#panel2 and having the save buttons the top line form level seems a possible option.

  I'm using an ajax registration form plugin for my website and I'm thinking to implement also Paypal. Here is how I want to implement it : I have 3 labels ( Name, Phone, Email, ) and a " Buy " button. After the user is typing his name, phone and email they click on "Buy" and they will be redirected to the paypal payment page or if it's possible to stay on the same page. Probably, what I need to know is how to make the "Buy " only after the forms ( name, phone, email ) are validated. Is there a plugin, or a snippet of code already made to not start something which already exists.

• Archiving your contact form data.

  I get TONS of email from customer. Over time, this email helps me to determine what areas in our product collection are opportunities for enhancement or improvement. I store the email that comes from my blog contact form in folders and then search through them looking for trends periodically. It occurred to me that, while I need to get the emails because many of them are actionable, it would be great if I could use reporting and analysis tools against the collection.   We have a peculiar requirement and our site is in magento. Requirement We want the user to fill in a personal information form with their image. After that, the user should be redirected to a product subscription page where he can select either 3 month, 6 month or on yearly basis. Now, when the selection is made, the user should make the payment via our payment method. How can I develop this? I am not able to figure it out. Should I go about editing the registration page or what? Let me know how you will deal with such a requirement?

• How to populate a form list with buttons using javascript

  I made a script that, when you press one button(accessories) the selection(mylist) populates with one array(accessoryData), and when you hit the other button(weapons) the other array(weaponData) populates the selection. However, in the current state of the code the second button press is not re-populating the selection. What is wrong here? Also if there is a more efficient way to do this, that might be helpful.   Do you use a standard form to gather requirements from a customer prior to making a website? If so what are the questions you ask? For example Purpose of Website: (sell products, reduce number of enquires, reduce work load, etc) Do you have you’re an existing logo? (can you send it via email) Do you have a preferred font for the website text? Do you have a colour theme for your logo, business cards, shop you would like to keep on the website Do you have photos you can provide of your Products? etc Ofcause it would need to be tweaked slightly for each customer but I was looking for a generic document as a baseline.

• How can I use a custom ValidationAttribute to ensure two properties match?

  We're using xVal and the standard DataAnnotationsValidationRunner described here to collect validation errors from our domain objects and view models in ASP.NET MVC. I'd like to have a way to have that validation runner identify when two properties don't match through the use of custom DataAnnotations. Right now I'm forced into doing it outside of the runner, this way: if (!(model.FieldOne == model.FieldTwo)) errors.Add(new ErrorInfo("FieldTwo", "FieldOne must match FieldTwo", model.FieldTwo)); My question is: can this be done using property-level validation attributes, or am I forced into using class-level attributes (in which case, I'd have to modify the runner...and my follow up question would be how best to retrieve them in that case).   Is there any logical or technical reason (with the W3C validation) for making alt as required attribute .. This is my actual problem:though my page is perfect enough with respect to W3C validation rules .. Only error I am getting is line XX column YY - Error: required attribute "ALT" not specified I know the significance of "alt" attribute and I have omitted that where it is unnecessary .. (to be more elaborate .. I have added the image to increase the beauty of my page and I don't want alt attribute to show irrelevant message to the viewer) getting rid of the error is secondary .. rather I am curious to know whether is it a flaw with validation rules .. ??   The HTML5 spec defines some very interesting validation components, including pattern (for validating against a Regexp) and required (for marking a field as required). As best I can tell, however, no browser yet actually does any validation based on these attributes. I found a comparison of HTML5 support across engines, but there is no information about validation there. In the browsers I've tried (Firefox 3.5.8 and Safari 4.0.4), no object has a checkValidity() method, so I can't run the validations even though I can define them. Is there any support for this feature out there so I can experiment?

My question is how should I do the form validation? should I create separate validation classes for each view, or group them together? I'm also confused on what this would look like in code. • Inline Form Validation in Django

  Newbie request that seems difficult to implement. I would like to make an entire inline formset within an admin change form compulsory.. so in my current scenario when I hit save on an Invoice form (in Admin) the inline Order form is blank. I'd like to stop people creating invoices with no orders associated. Anyone know an easy way to do that? Normal validation like (required=True) on the model field doesn't appear to work in this instance. Thanks!!

  Hi all, I am learning how to use JQuery validation plugin, and came across some questions about the JQuery magic that works on the sumbit action. I got a simple HTML form which has got an input text field like this: <form class="cmxform" id="commentForm" method="get" action=""> <input id="cname" name="name" size="25" class="required" minlength="2" /> <input class="submit" type="submit" value="Submit"/> </form> The magic happened when I tried not to input any data into the field and pressed the submit button. I saw an error message in red pop up, and no matter how hard and how many times I pressed the submit button, nothing was submitted. It seemed that there was some scripts that disabled the submit action, but I just couldn't find which lines of codes in the JQuery Validatyion Plugin that did it.

• How can I support conditional validation of model properties

  I currently have a form that I am building that needs to support two different versions. Each version might use a different subset of form fields. I have to do this to support two different clients, but I don't want to have entirely different controller actions for both. So, I am trying to come up with a way to use a strongly typed model with validation attributes but have some of these attributes be conditional. Some approaches I can think of is similar to steve sanderson's partial validation approach. Where I would clear the model errors in a filter OnActionExecuting based on which version of the form was active. The other approach I was thinking of would to break the model up into pieces using something like class FormModel { public Form1 Form1Model {get; set;} public Form2 FormModel {get; set;} } and then we would validate appropriately depending on

• best approach to do jsf form validation

  If I have many input controls in a form (There are separate validators for each of these input controls - like required,length and so on ) , there is a command button which submits the form and calls an action method. The requirement is - though the input control values are , say , individually okay - the combination of these values should be okay to process them together after the form submission - Where do i place the code to validate them together? 1) Can i add a custom validator for the command button and validate the combination together? like validate(FacesContext arg0, UIComponent arg1, Object value) but even then I will not have values of the other input controls except for the command button's/component's value right ? 2) can i do the validation of the combination in the action method and add validation messages using FacesMessage ? or do you suggest any other approach?
