  Hello, I was expecting the below scenario common, but couldn't find much help online. I have a form loaded through Ajax (say, create entity form). It is loaded through a button click (load) event $("#bt-create").click(function(){ $ ('#pid').load('/controller/vehicleModel/create3'); return false; }); the response (a form) is written in to the pid element. The name and id of the form is ajax-form, and the submit event is attached to an ajax post request $(function() { $("#ajax-form").submit(function(){ // do something... var url = "/app/controller/save" $.post(url, $(this).serialize(), function(data) { alert( data ) ; /// alert data from server }); I could make the above ajax operations individually. That is the ajax post operation succeeds if it calls from a static html file. But if I chain the requests (after completing the first), so that it calls from the output form generated by the first request, nothing happens. I could see the post method is called through firebug. Is there a better way to handle above flow? One more interesting thing I noticed. As you could see, I use grails as my platform. If I keep the javascripts in the main.gsp (master layout), the submit event would not register as the breakpoint is not hit in firebug. But, if I define the javascript in the template file (which renders the form above), the breakpoint is hit, but as I explained, the action is not called at the controller. I changes the javascript to the head section but same result. any help greatly appreciated. thanks, Babu.

In the Firefox case, my jQuery.ajax parameters 'success' method is invoked, but the supplied data is null. (In Safari, I receive a boatload of JSON data). I also tried to do the same thing using below code but result is the same: var conn = new Ext.data.Connection(); conn.request({ url: incomingURL, method: 'POST', params: {param1:p1, param2:p2}, success: function(responseObject) { Ext.Msg.alert('Status', 'success'); }, failure: function(responseObject) { Ext.Msg.alert('Status', 'Failure'); } }); But when i tried to do the same thing using basic ajax call ( using the browser objects directly i.e. XMLHttpRequest() or ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")) it works fine and i get the response as expected.   I want to access private methods and variables from outside the classes in very rare specific cases. I've seen that this is not be possible although introspection is used. • jquery - radio button not checked on page load, but checked on same function call later

  Hi, I'm having a strange problem with jquery. When my page loads, I dynamically create some simple radio buttons in a special i've created. However, the default radio button is not checked. It is checked however when the change() event is triggered later, but is never checked the first time. Can someone help? I am certain that the change() event is triggered on the page load, because the rest of the HTML is added dynamically and I can see it. • Google Maps: openInfoWindowTabsHtml + GDownloadUrl (Ajax call) question

  I am facing the following problem. On an Google Map I want to add info windows with tabs, where content is loaded from an external file using the GDownloadUrl method. The code works about fine, but with two problems. a) The first time I click on a marker, nothing hapens. I need to click twice to get an info box. After that it works ok. b) When I close an info box and open it again, the tabs repeat themselves. Every time I reopen the info box, those tabs get repeated. So, if using the code below and open the info box 3 times, I get 6 tabs (Info, Photos, Info, Photos, Info, Photos). Any idea of what I am doing wrong here? Here is the question: (1) Write a C function called input which returns void, this function prompts the user for input of two integers followed by a double precision value. This function reads these values from the keyboard and finds the product of the two integers entered. The function uses call by reference to communicate the values of the three values read and the product calculated back to the main program. The main program then prints the three values read and the product calculated. Provide test results for the input: 3 5 23.5. Do not use arrays or global variables in your program. I've tried using perform too, but I thought one only had to use that if the function doesn't return anything.

• jQuery error when aborting an ajax call only in Internet Explorer

  When mousing over an image in a jcarousel, my site displays a popup whose contents are loaded via ajax. I'm doing what I thought was fairly straightforward; keeping a handle to the xhrRequest object, and aborting the existing one before making a new request. It works great in all browsers except IE, where I receive an error "Object doesn't support this property or method" Here's the code that is triggering it: function showPopup { // ... code snipped ... // cancel the existing xhr request if (showPopup.xhrRequest != null) { showPopup.xhrRequest.abort(); showPopup.xhrRequest = null; } showPopup.xhrRequest = $.ajax({url: url, type: "GET", success:function(data) { $("#popup-content").html(data); } }); // ... code snipped ... } showPopup.xhrRequest = null; Works great in Firefox and Chrome.   This is my first time that I an using WCF Service with Knockout. I want to POST an entire view model as a JSON object with an ajax call. This is the error message that I get: Endpoints using 'UriTemplate' cannot be used with 'System.ServiceModel.Description.WebScriptEnablingBehavior' I have noticed that some developers send each value as a parameter which I feel is unnecessary especially if you work with a big object. • Need help with jQuery/AJAX call in Safari/Mac

  I've got something that works perfectly in FF and MSIE but it's not working properly in Safari. It's a form with selects that get updated via AJAX/jQuery from a MySQL DB. In Safari, when you select the first item, it correctly loads the options for the next select menu; however, when you choose one of those (which loads new options in a subsequent select menu), the whole form resets and is broken from that point on. Does anyone know of a Safari bug that would cause this? • Loop elements with Jquery and call Omniture s.tl() function to track

  Hi, i have a page with a list of items. Each item has a print now link (a.printMe) to print each item. At the end of the list, there's a print all link (a.printAll) to print all items. I want to track number of times an item was printed. If a.printAll link is clicked, then i will send all the item's tracking value to Omniture. I added tracking string into individual item's a.printMe href attribute and track with the following functions: $('a.printMe').click(function() { var value = $(this).attr('href'); track(value); }); $('a.printAll').click(function() { $('a.printMe').each(function() { this.click(); }); // works in IE only. IE 6-8 }); function track(value) { var s = s_gi('account'); s.prop10 = value; s.linkTrackVars = 'prop10'; s.tl(true, 'o'); } The problem is only the last item (in the list) has its value sent to Omniture when i clicked on a.printAll. I finally got the above to work in IE but not Firefox. Anyone encounter this before?

• How to keep track of call statistics? C++

  I'm working on a project that delivers statistics to the user. I created a class called Dog, And it has several functions. Speak, woof, run, fetch, etc. I want to have a function that spits out how many times each function has been called. I'm also interested in the constructor calls and destructor calls as well. I have a header file which defines all the functions, then a separate .cc file that implements them. My question is, is there a way to keep track of how many times each function is called? I have a function called print that will fetch the "statistics" and then output them to standard output. I was considering using static integers as part of the class itself, declaring several integers to keep track of those things. I know the compiler will create a copy of the integer and initialize it to a minimum value, and then I'll increment the integers in the .cc functions. I also thought about having static integers as a global variable in the .cc. Which way is easier? Or is there a better way to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated!
