• Table Name is null in the sqlite database in android device

  I am building a simple app which stores some contacts and retrieves contacts in android phone device. I have created my own database and a table and inserting the values to the table in phone. My phone is not rooted. So I cannot access the files, but I see that values are stored in the table. And tested on a emulator also. Till here it is fine. Display all the contacts in a list by fetching data from table. This is also fine. But the problem is When I am trying to delete the record, it shows the table name is null in the logcat(not an exception), and the data is not deleted. But in emulator the data is getting deleted from table. I am not able to achieve this through phone. I have XForms model such as: <file> <criteria> <criterion></criterion> </criteria> </file> I want to have multiple input text boxes that create a new criterion tag. user interface such as: <xf:input ref="/file/criteria/criterion" model="select_data"> <xf:label>Select</xf:label> </xf:input> <xf:input ref="/file/criteria/criterion" model="select_data"> <xf:label>Select</xf:label> </xf:input> <xf:input ref="/file/criteria/criterion" model="select_data"> <xf:label>Select</xf:label> </xf:input> And I would like the XML output to look like this (once user has entered in info): <file> <criteria> <criterion>AAA</criterion> <criterion>BBB</criterion> <criterion>CCC</criterion> </criteria> </file> The way I have it doesn't work, as it sees the 3 input fields to be referring all to the same criterion tag.   I have noticed that when my computer in plugged in, the wireless strength increases. I'm assuming this is to do with power management. Is there a way to disable Wireless Power Management? I have found a few blog posts that show hacks to disable this but what is best practice here? Should there not be an option via the power menu that lets you toggle this? • Ubuntu 12.10 graphics does not work properly

  My graphic on ubuntu 12.10 does not work as well as on 12.04. After upgrade I installed driver sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install nvidia-current for my Nvidia 450 GTS graphics card. But sometimes I see slight lag on my videos played in VLC player, some of desktop and window effects are lagging, sometimes I can see an indescribable souce of pixels on my screen at the start of ubuntu and so on. I feel difference between 12.04 and 12.10 in favour of former version. • How can I get my HID device working in VirtualBox?

  I'm running the latest official Ubuntu build of VirtualBox (4.1.12), with Windows 8 running as the guest OS. I have a Windows app that works with a card reading HID device, but it's not detected by the guest OS at all. I've installed the USB extensions, guest additions and set my udev rules accordingly (my own linux app is able to access the device), but no joy. Does anyone know how to get this working?

• How can an iPhone access another non-iPhone device over wireless or bluetooth?

  I'm trying to figure out if an iPhone can connect to another non-iPhone device over wireless or bluetooth and have seen conflicting information. Much of what I've found was before version 3.0 of the SDK came out, when it certainly wasn't possible. Looking at questions like this mention you can't connect to an arbitrary device unless if it's part of the "Works for iPhone" device. Do I need hardware that is part of this program? Looking through the Apple documentation, it mentions connecting two iPhones, not an iPhone to another Bluetooth device. Then there are articles like this that includes this quote ...and with the newly-announced "standard support" should allow file transfer between the iPhone and a computer, as well as between nearby iPhones Other questions mention Bonjour, and the Apple documentation talk about connecting to Bonjour devices, but can an iPhone connect to any Bonjour device? Does it have to have a wifi connection, or can it use Bluetooth? Even if I could use Bluetooth to connect to another device, it won't be available on first generation iPhones and iTouches, I believe. Is that correct? I'm thinking of an iPhone application that would need to communicate with other non-iPhone devices in the area, probably using Bluetooth, but possibly a direct wireless connection. What are the possibilities and limitations of this approach? Is it not possible to have an iPhone connect to an arbitrary Bluetooth device? Does the other device have to be on a wireless Bonjour network that? I'm trying to figure out if it's even possible for this to work or if it's not worth the effort.

• How to draw a part of a window into a memory device context?

  I'm using simple statements to keep it, er, simple: The screen goes from 0, 0 to 1000, 1000 (screen coordinates). A window goes from 100, 100 to 900, 900 (screen coordinates). I have a memory device context that goes from 0, 0 to 200, 200 (logical coordinates). I need to send a WM_PRINT message to the window. I can pass the device context to the window via WM_PRINT, but I cannot pass which part of its window it should draw into the device context. Is there some way to alter the device context that will result in the window drawing a specific part of itself into the device context (say, its bottom right portion from 700, 700 to 900, 900)? (This is all under plain old GDI and in C or C++. Any solution must be too.) Please note: This problem is part of a larger solution in which the device context size is fixed and speed is crucial, so I cannot draw the window in full into a separate device context and blit the part I want from the resultant full bitmap into my device context.

• Having the output of a Console App in Visual Studio instead of the Console

  When doing "Console" apps in Java with Eclipse, I see the output being put in a text box on the IDE itself, instead of having a Console popping up like in Visual Studio. This comes in handy, as even after the program has exited, I can still make good use of the text that was written in it, as it doesn't get erased until I run it again. Is it possible to achieve anything like that with Visual Studio? I know that instead of doing System.Console.WriteLine(str); I can do System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(str); but it is not quite the same thing, as you get a lot of "junk" in the Output window, as all the loaded symbols and such. Even better, is it possible to have everything done in the IDE itself, when you run your app, instead of having the Console running? Thanks

  Hi there and thanking in advance I am trying (very hard) to redirect Console input and output into a textbox. So far output is working fine but the trouble is with input. For example I cannot execute a simple program that will do the following: Console.WriteLine("Please enter your name: "); string name = Console.ReadLine(); Console.WriteLine("Hi there " + name); The reason I can't achieve this is because that the program has to stop while waiting for user to type his/her name and press enter. If I wait for user input on a new thread then the main GUI thread freezes and the textbox can never receive the KeyPress. This thing has me totally stumped. I have a properly encoded UTF8-String I parse into a JObject with Json.NET, fiddle around with some values and write it to the commandline, keeping the encoded characters intact. Everything works great except for the keeping the encoded characters intact part.   I have a Visual Studio 2008 C#/.NET 3.5 project with a post build task to ZIP the contents. However I'm finding that I'm also getting the referenced assemblies' .pdb (debug) and .xml (documentation) files in my output directory (and ZIP). For example, if MyProject.csproj references YourAssembly.dll and there are YourAssembly.xml and YourAssembly.pdb files in the same directory as the DLL they will show up in my output directory (and ZIP). I can exclude *.pdb when ZIP'ing but I cannot blanket exclude the *.xml files as I have deployment files with the same extension. Is there a way to prevent the project from copying referenced assembly PDB and XML files?
