  I have a GUI application which can create many similar windows on desktop. All windows have same title. I have to enumerate all dialogs with same title and make some tests against each of such dialogs. If I call: dialog = app['Window Name'] pywinauto returns a WindowSpecification object which is useful along with accessing controls by name. When I call: dialogs = app.windows_(title='Window Name') pywinauto returns me a list of HwndWrapper instances which are not so useful. How to obtain a list of windows with specified title but as WindowSpecification objects?

• Solution to combine two submit buttons.. doing two different things from the same input

  I am trying to figure out how to combine two different forms, both require the same input but they do two different things. One form sends a request to the ecommerce platform to get the order status, and another form takes the same order number and returns a tracking code from USP or USPS. I am looking for some guidance on how I could combine these two actions.. one is currently using the POST method and the other GET. Here is an example .. so one is This one runs a validation script to confirm the order number is valid and then returns the order info if it is the second form is sending a get request to an asp file that is generating the proper tracking numbers. Can someone please point me to how I could begin to tackle this?

  When making a GetUserAvailability call passing in 128 mailboxs Exchange 07 returns an EmailAddressArray error stating the allowed size of the array is 100. Is there a way to increase the array size beyond 100, so that Exchange 07 returns with a GetUserAvailablity request? I'm currently getting the following error: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Microsoft.Exchange.InfoWorker.Common.Availability.IdentityArrayTooBigException: There are too many target users in the EmailAddress array.   I'm using PHP Version 5.1.6 I have a string (session file) and need to extract a value from it, so i'm searching for a needle in the string but it returns false, I reduced the code to this: $string = ';SERVER_NAME|s:17:"stackoverflow.com";REMOTE_ADDR|s:13:"69.59.196.211";'; $start = strpos($string, ';SERVER_NAME|s:"'); echo $start; // prints nothing because $start = false $start = strpos($string, 'SERVER_NAME|s:'); echo $start; // prints 1; As you noticed if I have the character ';' or the character '"' in the needle, the search returns false, I tryed to use chr() for all characters in the needle but had the same result, If I remove the ';' and the '"' from the string if finds the needle in the string. How can I search special characters in a string using PHP ?

• Javascript array length incorrect on array of objects

  Could someone explain this (strange) behavior? Why is the length in the first example 3 and not 2, and most importantly, why is the length in the second example 0? As long as the keys are numerical, length works. When they are not, length is 0. How can I get the correct length from the second example?   I am trying to get the font of controls in other applications. When I try WM_GETFONT, it returns 0. Here is the basic code I am using to do the lookup: InitialDirContext ctx = new InitialDirContext(env); DataSource dataSource = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:dataContent"); Otherwise, the DataSource returns fine from the context. Unfortunately, I need the jar in order to avoid ClassCastExceptions within Jboss 4.2.2. Any help is appreciated.

  Hi! The next call to Bitmap.compress(), has a different behavior on the Emulator and on a real device. In the Emulator, result is true, and in a real device the same call returns false. FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(destinationFile, true); boolean result = myBitmap.compress(Bitmap.CompressFormat.PNG, 100, fos); The thing is that on the emulator this is working great, on a real device ( a HERO) when calling .compress(), this returns false, witch means that it was unable to convert the image properly.   Hello, I have constructed a map and loaded it with data. If I iterate over all the elements I see they are all valid. However, the find method doesn't find my item. I'm sure it's something stupid I am doing. • Java webservice does not return all struct array

  Hi I wrote a webservice which runs correctly. In the webservice, there is a class which contains other classes' arrays and the webservice returns this class's instance. for example public class cls1 implements Serializable{ cls2[] cls2Arr; cls3[] cls3Arr; } I fill this arrays (cls2Arr and cls3Arr) correctly in service side. When I read this arrays from client, I see only last item of arrays. I checked on the service side before the webservice returns, and the cls1 instance and everything else looked good. • git, how to I go back to origin master after pulling a branch

  This has to be a FAQ, but I can't find it googling. Another person created a branch, commit'd to it, and pushed it to github using git push origin newbranch I successfully pulled it down using git pull origin newbranch Now, I want to go back to the origin master version. Nothing I do seems to cause the files in the origin master to replace those in the newbranch. git checkout master git checkout origin master git pull git pull origin HEAD etc git pull origin master returns: * branch master -> FETCH_HEAD Already up-to-date. This can't be hard, but I sure can't figure it out. 'git branch' returns * master and 'git branch -r' return origin/HEAD origin/experimental origin/master

• C signal parent process from child

  I'm trying to solve a problem I've got where a child process runs execvp() and needs to let the parent know if it returns. So, after the execvp() returns (because there's been an error), how can I tell the parent that this particular event has happened so it can handle it. There's one method of writing a string of text through the pipe I'm using and then reading that from the parent.. but it seems a bit sloppy. Is there a better way? Thanks!

  I'm creating a Rails application which uses MySQL. I have a table in my DB like this: create_table "pastes", :force => true do |t| t.string "title" t.text "body" t.string "syntax" t.boolean "private" t.datetime "expire" t.string "password" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end I want to show only the non-expired pastes to people, so I do this: @pastes = Paste.find(:all, :conditions => "expire < '#{Time.now.strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S')}'") However, even that returns ALL pastes. Not just those that are not expired yet. Can anyone help me? Thanks Oh, changing < to > returns no pastes, not even the non-expired ones :(

  Hi guys, I am trying to use jQuery (latest version) & ajax to poll a mysql db every x seconds, post.php does a simple search query on the table and limits to 1 row. (eg SELECT id FROM TABLE LIMIT 1) I've got some other jQuery UI (using v1.8) code that displays some modal/dialog boxes on the screen, simply put if post.php returns something from the db I need to initialise the dialog to pop up onto the screen. I've done all the popup stuff I am just having issues joining all these bits together - i've added some pseudo code of how i expect this to work.   Hi I have the following table T: id 1 2 3 4 col a b a c I want to do a select that returns the id,col when group by(col) having count(col)1 One way of doing it is SELECT id,col FROM T WHERE col IN (SELECT col FROM T GROUP BY(col) HAVING COUNT(col)>1); The intern select (from the right) returns 'a' and main one (left) will return 1,a and 3,a The problem is that the where in statement seems to be extremely slow. In my real case, the results from the internal select has many 'col's, something about 70000 and it's taking hours. Right now it's much faster to do the internal select and the main select getting all ids and upcs and do the intersection locally. MySQL should be able to handle this kind of query efficiently. Can I substitute the where in for a join or something faster? Thanks

  I would like to write a custom OpenOffice function that runs a shell command and puts the result into the cell from which it was invoked. I have a basic macro working, but I can't find a way to capture the command's output. Function MyTest( c1 ) MyTest = Shell("bash -c "" echo hello "" ") End Function The above always returns 0. Looking at the documentation of the Shell command, I don't think it actually returns STDOUT. How would I capture the output so that I can return it in my function? Thanks!

• MySQL Query, limit output display according/only to associated ID!

  So here's my situation. I have a books table and authors table. An author can have many books... In my authors page view, the user (logged in) can click an author in a tabled row and be directed to a page displaying the author's books (collected like this URI format: viewauthorbooks.php?author_id=23), very straight forward... However, in my query, I need to display the books for the author only, and not all books stored in the books table (as i currently have!) As I am a complete novice, I used the most simple query of: SELECT * FROM tasks_tb :)....this returns the books for me, but returns every single value (book) in the database, and not ones associated with the selected author. And when I click a different author the same books are displayed for them...I think everyone gets what I'm trying to achieve, I just don't know how to perform the query. I'm guessing that I need to start using more advanced query clauses like INNER JOIN etc. Anyone care to help me out :)

• Should GSON ignore varying types if they're not used in a class?

  I'm making an API call that returns JSON which has a particular field which either returns false or a map depending on content. It's a field that I don't care about. I expected GSON to ignore this particular field, though it doesn't seem to be. The object generation fails with the following message: com.google.gson.JsonSyntaxException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Expected a string but was BEGIN_OBJECT at line 1 column 403560 I've seen this particular question (Gson deserialize json with varying value types). I want to make sure I need to make a custom deserializer before doing so. I'm wondering if I may have another issue. edit: Example: "anonymous_flag": { } vs "anonymous_flag": "yes" Another Edit: I actually had the field in my model object... I was referencing the wrong class. Judge away :)
