    - by Arkaha
Hello everyone! I encounter this problem when displaying text on SurfaceView, some chars can climb up on others, code is here: private static void fakeDraw(Canvas c) { Paint mPaint = new Paint(); int color = 0xff000000; mPaint.setColor(color); mPaint.setStrokeWidth(2); mPaint.setStyle(Style.FILL); mPaint.setAntiAlias(true); FontMetricsInt fm = mPaint.getFontMetricsInt(); int fh = Math.abs(fm.top); int left = 0; int top = 100; Rect smallClip = new Rect(left, top-fh, left + 200, top + 30); Rect bigClip = new Rect(0, 0, getW(), getH()); c.drawRect(bigClip, mPaint); String text1 = "Evi"; String text2 = ">>"; String text3 = "Tom"; color = 0xff303030; mPaint.setColor(color); c.drawRect(smallClip, mPaint); color = 0xffffffff; mPaint.setColor(color); c.drawText(text1, left, top, mPaint); Rect bounds = new Rect(); mPaint.getTextBounds(text1, 0, text1.length(), bounds); left += bounds.width(); c.drawText(text2, left, top, mPaint); left -= bounds.width(); top += 12; c.drawText(text3, left, top, mPaint); mPaint.getTextBounds(text3, 0, text3.length(), bounds); left += bounds.width(); c.drawText(text2, left, top, mPaint); } In the case of a second text Tom all displayed correctly, but the first text Evi not. The problem is that the chars draws in Evi draw space(last char "i")!! It is possible to see if you zoom the picture, what am I doing wrong and how to fix this? screen shot can be found here:

  • jquery data selector

    - by Tauren
I need to select elements based on values stored in an element's .data() object. At a minimum, I'd like to select top-level data properties using selectors, perhaps like this: $('a').data("category","music"); $('a:data(category=music)'); Or perhaps the selector would be in regular attribute selector format: $('a[category=music]'); Or in attribute format, but with a specifier to indicate it is in .data(): $('a[:category=music]'); I've found James Padolsey's implementation to look simple, yet good. The selector formats above mirror methods shown on that page. There is also this Sizzle patch. For some reason, I recall reading a while back that jQuery 1.4 would include support for selectors on values in the jquery .data() object. However, now that I'm looking for it, I can't find it. Maybe it was just a feature request that I saw. Is there support for this and I'm just not seeing it? Ideally, I'd like to support sub-properties in data() using dot notation. Like this: $('a').data("user",{name: {first:"Tom",last:"Smith"},username: "tomsmith"}); $('a[:user.name.first=Tom]'); I also would like to support multiple data selectors, where only elements with ALL specified data selectors are found. The regular jquery multiple selector does an OR operation. For instance, $('a.big, a.small') selects a tags with either class big or small). I'm looking for an AND, perhaps like this: $('a').data("artist",{id: 3281, name: "Madonna"}); $('a').data("category","music"); $('a[:category=music && :artist.name=Madonna]'); Lastly, it would be great if comparison operators and regex features were available on data selectors. So $(a[:artist.id>5000]) would be possible. I realize I could probably do much of this using filter(), but it would be nice to have a simple selector format. What solutions are available to do this? Is Jame's Padolsey's the best solution at this time? My concern is primarily in regards to performance, but also in the extra features like sub-property dot-notation and multiple data selectors. Are there other implementations that support these things or are better in some way?

  • Serving wildcard subdomains from the mulitple servers.

    - by user489176
I have a web application to which I want users to login only through their unique sub-domain (the sub-domain will be chosen at signup). So that I can scale the application across a number of servers, what would be the best way to set up Apache to always serve the same subdomains from the same server? For instance: matt.yyy.com, helen.yyy.com, terry.yyy.com are always served from server with ip of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx suzi.yyy.com, fred.yyy.com, tom.yyy.com are always served from server with ip of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

  • Tech necessary to build a live video chat site?

    - by tomeaton
Hi, I'm looking to build a live video chat site. Before writing a project description, hiring a developer, etc., I'm doing a little research on what types of technologies / web development skills are necessary in order to build this type of site. The site will feature live video and audio for users to be able to chat with eachother, a simple profile which they can fill out, and the ability to filter the types of users they are connected with. Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks, Tom

    - by user1834348
I have table similar to this: 102938 bob 038128 Marc 398401 Tom 298421 Jim 102938 Alex 102938 Junior 209381 Rex 398401 Oby I want to make sometthing like =sumif(A:A, 102938,B:B) and to get "bobAlexJunior" as result. But this is not working becouse sum works with numbers not strings. If i go with lookup, it works with strings but finds only first line, not all lines. Do you have an Idea on how to fix this issue? Thanx

  • Is it possible to publish component revisions within workflow?

    - by Ianthe
Our current setup is that we have two targets, Staging and Live. Collaborators may update the affected component while it is still within the workflow. A final activity is set to publish the related pages to Live. Is it possible to publish component updates (revisions e.g. 2.2, 2.5) to Staging from within the workflow? The TOM API documentation for Page.Publish() method does not seem to have an input parameter to fullfil such purpose.

While the original post is good, in this days I see a lot of people using StructureMap as their Dependency Injection tool, and in the original post no one even took it seriously. In addition, this quote: If I had to choose today: I would probably go with StructureMap. It has the best support for C# 3.0 language features, and the most flexibility in initialization. • Describe the Damas-Milner type inference in a way that a CS101 student can understand

    - by user128807
Hindley-Milner is a type system that is the basis of the type systems of many well known functional programming languages. Damas-Milner is an algorithm that infers (deduces?) types in a Hindley-Milner type system. Wikipedia gives a description of the algorithm which, as far as I can tell, amounts to a single word: "unification." Is that all there is to it? If so, that means that the interesting part is the type system itself not the type inference system. If Damas-Milner is more than unification, I would like a description of Damas-Milner that includes a simple example and, ideally, some code. Also, this algorithm is often said to do type inference. Is it really an inference system? I thought it was only deducing the types. Related questions: What is Hindley Miller? Type inference to unification problem

  • Using XPath to access comments a flat hierachy

    - by Sebastian
I have a given XML document (structure can not be changed) and want to get the comments that are written above the nodes. The document looks like this: <!--Some comment here--> <attribute name="Title">Book A</attribute> <attribute name="Author"> <value>Joe Doe</value> <value>John Miller</value> </attribute> <!--Some comment here--> <attribute name="Code">1</attribute> So comments are optional, but if there is one, I want to get the comment above each attribute. Using /*/comment()[n] would give me comment n, but for n=2 I would naturally get the comment of the third attribute, so there is no connection between attributes and comments Any ideas? Thanks
