I have a list of strings where by each string is a url to a pdf document. All I want to do is cycle through this list and display each url as a hyperlink on my page. I've seen this done before in MVC where the collection is made avaliable to the view and you can just do a foreach etc etc but I don't know how to do it on a normal asp.net page...
Any help appreciated, cheers!
I know that when a row is selected in list view, the function onListItemClick() is called.
I want to know which function is called when a row in ListView is highlighted(not selected).
I can't seem to find this and I feel like it should be easy. In Ruby on Rails, how do I take:

and turn it into

Can I not just use a helper in the view?
I am trying to build an aspx page at runtime (by another aspx page which finally redirects to the new one). As far as I understand, aspx pages MUST be precompiled before a user can view them. In other words, the aspx page must be compiled to the DLL in the /bin folder.
Is there a away to tell IIS, or to order it by VB.NET code, to compile a page before I am redirecting my user to the page?
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
I have a table view that gets refreshed two different ways. One is through a button and the other is when I call my refresh method, which is the same method that I use for the button, but for some reason, when I hit the button it works, but when I call it through a different class it doesn't.
Here's the code that I use to refresh the tableview:
Msqv *qv = [Msqv new];
[qv refresh:self]; //refresh is an IBAction that is used by the button
Usually when a tab based app is launched, automatically control goes to the 1st tab. Is there any way such that the 1st tab's view will be shown but without the 1st tab being selected?
I want to be able to edit and delete resources myself, but not allow users of the application to do so.
Is there an easy way of doing this in Rails?
An incomplete solution would be just to remove the "delete" and "edit" buttons from the index view, but that doesn't disable their ability to do so via direct HTTP requests.
Running Rails 2.2.2 and ruby 1.8.7
I have a Customer class which has a representative field....this field is initially blank but when the user opens up the details page of the chosen customer, they'll be given the open of representing this customer by clicking on a link. The template layout I was thinking of is this:
<strong>Representative: </strong>
{% if customer.representative %}
{{ customer.representative }}
{% else %}
<a href="{% url representCustomer customer.id %}">Represent this customer.</a>
{% endif %}
All that remains is the view to effect this...this is where I'm stuck.

I am having one GtkVbox and I am adding it to GtkViewPort. View port is created from Glade file.
Now the problem is that my vbox keeps updating on every second (I keep adding widgets to vbox on every second) this vbox but my screen did not get updated as add widgets to my vbox.
I can't create new vbox every time as I need to keep previously added widgets in vbox.
How can I tell GtkViewPort to refresh list when I add new widgets to my GtkVBox?
Hi
Complete novice question. I've used jQuery a bit, YUI not at all and know very little about it.
I work on a website thats IE specific, we're now looking at making it cross browser. jQuery seems great at hiding the differences between browsers from a javascript point of view. However in terms of css layout is it YUI that I should really be looking at?
thanks
I'm new to rails and was trying out the scaffold command - the following scaffold runs and works when I view it via web brick
script/generate book title:string
the following fails - gives me a weird route error
script/generate application name:string
the following works
script/generate app name:string
can anyone shed some light on this? Is 'application' a reserved word?
I have a LinearLayout with fixed view. I dynamically inject images in it (ImageViews) but I dunno in advance how many of them will be inserted. I'd like to have a layout where images wrap and go to a new line authomatically when they exceed the available width of the father (LinearLayout)
how do you recommend I should move?
thanks a lot
Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible to run transparent video? (the background should be something else, like a picture, or view, shown from the camera, etc.)?
Any idea if this is possible and how it's done? (should I use openGL, or smthn else)?
10x in advance,

How to display the data of tables that are linked by a primary key and foreign key where the foreign key of the data repeats?
For ex. I have two tables, ParentTable and Childtable.
The primary key of ParentTable acts as the foreign key of ChildTable.
There are more than one record with same ParentId in ChildTable. How to retrieve them and display in a single Grid or List or any type of view?
Need a ref to the window in which a view is inside (no matter how deep inside). Usually there is only one window in an iPhone app. How would I access that the most easy way? Is there something cooler than getting the app delegate to access the window?
I'm creating a game and I create sprites(enemies). I keep creating and destroying sprites. Flash/Flex has a garbage collector which handles the destruction of unused resources. Should I create an object pool to reuse them, or should I leave flash/flex to handle the creation/destruction of objects?
Which option is better from the performance point of view?
I making an application to view videos form youtube, and I think it is very easy to write a code to make the user be able download the videos and save it in the documents folder of the application, my questions are:
1) is it legal to do this, and is there any concern of the application being rejected?
2) is it possible to make the user watch the video and when he finish (watched all the video) get this data and save it, (not to download it again since he already watched the video and downloaded it).
can any one suggest me how to rotate image view with respect to any point on the image in iphone os.it will be very useful for me if any any body send me the sample code...
I need to generate links in my views using the url helpers such as user_path(@user), the catch is, in some cases I don't know what model I am creating this link for i.e. whether it is a user or a store or someting else
I would like to be able to determine this on the fly and call the appropriate view helper, currently I am doing the following, but I am wondering if there is a drier way of doing it.
if object.class == "Store"
store_path(object)
elsif object.class == "User"
user_path(object)
...etc
