  • Perf4j Not Logging to Separate File

    I setup some stop watch calls in my code to measure some code blocks and all the messages are going into my primary log and not into the timing log. The perfStats.log file gets created just fine but all the messages go to the root log which I didn't think was supposed to happen according to the docs I've read. Is there something obvious I'm missing here?     How would I separate the below string into its parts. What I need to separate is each < Word including the angle brackets from the rest of the string. So in the below case I would end up with several strings 1. "I have to break up with you because " 2. "< reason " (without the spaces) 3. " . But Let's still " 4. "< disclaimer " 5. " ." I have to break up with you because <reason> . I've created a <h:commandLink> in one of my columns, where a parameter is passed through <f:setActionPropertyListener/> Is there a clean solution to fire this link by a rowClick? Sure I could workaround my missing knowledge with some jQuery but there should be a cleaner way?

    I'm writing an unit test for spring jdbc dao. The method to test is: public long getALong() { return simpleJdbcTemplate.queryForObject("sql query here", new RowMapper<Long>() { public Long mapRow(ResultSet resultSet, int i) throws SQLException { return resultSet.getLong("a_long"); } }); } Here is what I have in the test: public void testGetALong() throws Exception { final Long result = 1000L; context.checking(new Expectations() {{ oneOf(simpleJdbcTemplate).queryForObject("sql_query", new RowMapper<Long>() { public Long mapRow(ResultSet resultSet, int i) throws SQLException { return resultSet.getLong("a_long"); } }); will(returnValue(result)); }}); Long seq = dao.getALong(); context.assertIsSatisfied(); assertEquals(seq, result); } Naturally, the test doesn't work (otherwise, I wouldn't be asking this question here). The problem is the rowmapper in the test is different from the rowmapper in the DAO. So the expectation is not met. I tried to put with around the sql query and with(any(RowMapper.class)) for the rowmapper. It wouldn't work either, complains about "not all parameters were given explicit matchers: either all parameters must be specified by matchers or all must be specified by values, you cannot mix matchers and values"

Is it OK? Should i save points separately?

    Hi there, I want to format a XML document during unmarshal with JAXB. Unmarshal looks like: Unmarshaller u = createAndsetUpUnmarshaller(enableValidation, evtHandler, clazz); return u.unmarshal(new ByteArrayInputStream(stringSource.getBytes())); While marshaling one can format the code via: marshaller.setProperty(Marshaller.JAXB_FORMATTED_OUTPUT, Boolean.TRUE); But this isn´t possible for the unmarchal process... Any idea how I can format the XML string with JAXB during (or after) unmarshal process? BTW: I read some posts here about pretty print, but I want to do it with JAXB!

  • Strage character encoding problem with Eclipse / Spring / Tomcat 6

    Hi, I have been trying things all da but can't get a proper solution. My problem is: I am developing a Spring MVC based app in my local Tomcat. My MYSQl database has UTF-8 encoding set, all content in there displays properly when using phpMyAdmin. Also the output in LOG files using log4j in catalina.out works fine. My JSP pages are configured by <!-- encoding --> <%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8" %> <%@ page pageEncoding="UTF-8" %> Also showing data on my JSP works fine. I can also send data from my Controller without any DB intereference using special chars, e.g. String str = "UTF-8 Test: Ä Ö Ü ß è é â"; logger.debug(str); mav.addObject("utftest", str); That displays correctly in log and on jsp page in browser. BUT: When having special chars directly in my JSP file, e.g. for text in headers, this does not work. FF and Google Chrome display strange chars but report the page to be UTF-8. When switching to Latin, the chars just get more and more strange. Same problem when showing text tokens from my messages.properties file, although Eclipse says when right-clicking that UTF-8 will be used. I am a little it lost and don't know where to check now. Summary: DB storage is fine DB output on JSP is fine Output on JSP directly form controller is fine even reading in form forms is fine .properties files and JSP text is not fine !!! Any ideas? I really appreciate and tips.

    Hi All. We use jalopy to format our code to the sun standard (well 99%). I have 1 issue with it. It keeps moving comments to the right of the line. E.g // Panel "JPanel.border", new LazyValue(packageName + "PanelBorder"), //frozen // Button "Button.background", new ColorUIResource(251, 251, 251), //frozen "Button.foreground", new ColorUIResource(0, 0, 0), //frozen But jalopy always moves the // Button to the far right. // Panel "JPanel.border", new LazyValue(packageName + "PanelBorder"), //frozen // Button "Button.background", new ColorUIResource(251, 251, 251), //frozen "Button.foreground", new ColorUIResource(0, 0, 0), //frozen Is there any way to stop this?   • Extending spring based app

    I have a spring-based Web Service. I now want to build a sort of plugin for it that extends it with beans. What I have now in web.xml is: <context-param> <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value>/WEB-INF/classes/*-configuration.xml</param-value> </context-param> My core app has main-configuration.xml which declares its beans. My plugin app has plugin-configuration.xml which declares additional beans. Now when I deploy, my build deploys plugin.jar into /WEB-INF/lib/ and copies plugin-configuration.xml into /WEB-INF/classes/ all under main.war. This is all fine (although I think there could be a better solution), but when I develop the plugin, I don't want to have two projects in Eclipse with dependencies. I wish to have main.jar that I include as a library. However, web.xml from main.jar isn't automatically discovered. How can I do this? Bean injection? Bean discovery of some sort? Something else? Note: I expect to have multiple different plugins in production, but development of each of them will be against pure main.jar Thank you.

  • Netstat shows numerous CLOSE_WAIT states for mysql connections

    The output of netstat -an shows many mysql connections in CLOSE_WAIT state and when i checked the processlist in mysql using 'SHOW PROCESSLIST' the connections shown in netstat do not appear. What possible could be the reason for this. I use tomcat with mysql-connector and use a Connection Pool as well. Is it that the application is not closing the mysql connection or is there any other reason for this behaviour... sometimes the CLOSE_WAIT reaches over 200. On the application level i made sure that i close all the connections(make sure i issue a close() command in the finally block) created using jdbc. Any help would be appreciated.

Some examples use a dataSource, and some do not.     I am currently working on a project related to Websphere Portal 7.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2,64 bit. I am trying to integrate websphere portal with my custom user registry.I have completed all the steps required to implement custom user registry in portal as given in IBM documentation.I am adding my custom repository to the default federated repositories of Portal 7.0.I have made the required changes under VMM Federated CUR Properties section in wkplc.properties.I am using configengine.bat file to configure Portal with user registry.     I have a field in a form to state the time duration of an event. Say, the event is to last 15 mins. So the field will have the following value: 00:15 If it is to last 1 hour: 01:00, etc. How can I create a Joda Duration object with the string "HH:MM"? Looking at Joda Time home page, it mentions that it is possible to create a Duration object from specified object using ConverterManager and DurationConverter respectively. My question is, how can I implement the above interfaces so that I can create a Duration object by passing the a "4:30" parameter? Thanks in advance, Lucas
