    I have a list that has some chapter numbers in string. When I sort the keys using keys function, it gives me wrong results. keys = ['1.1', '1.2', '2.1', '10.1'] keys.sort() print keys ['1.1', '1.2', '10.1', '2.1'] How can I use the sort function to get ['1.1', '1.2', '2.1', '10.1'] What if the array has something like this? ['1.1.1', '1.2.1', '10.1', '2.1'] - ['1.1.1','1.2.1','2.1','10.1']

  • loading data into rails applicaton

    Hi, I have a list of rows in an excel sheet which I need to load as historical transactions into a table in my rails applications. I saved the excel file as a csv file. I tried using csv from the standard library but keep getting the following exception CSV::IllegalFormatError. Not sure how to even figure out where the problem lies.     Hi everybody, Here it's my problem I've a list of the following measure : src1 dst2 24th december 2009 src1 dst3 22th december 2009 src1 dst2 18th december 2009 I would like to have just the latest measures with a sql request - 2 first lines in my case because the pairs(src and dst) aren't the same. I try to use DISTINCT but I have just the 2 first columns and I will all columns. I try too GROUP BY but I hadn't success. Anyone can help me ? Thx Narglix

    At present I am displaying a list of the last 5 posts in a site's blog in its footer using this mysql query: SELECT post_title, guid, post_date FROM wp_posts WHERE post_type = 'post' AND post_status = 'Publish' ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 5 How can I edit this query to restrict the search to a particular category id? I thought it would be as simple as looking for a category field in the posts table but it isn't!

    I've been working on a game and implementing the physics stuff with chipmunk. All was going fine on the cocos2d part until the integration with chipmunk. A bit of background: The game is a game with blocks. Levels are defined in a property list, where positions, size of the blocks, gravitational forces, etc., are all defined for each block to be shown in the level. The problem is with the blocks showing up. I have a method on my BlockLayer class which is part of my game's main scene. Upon creation of the layer, the property list is read, and all the blocks are created. Not sure if it's important, but the orientation of the app is in landscape left, and all the coordinates are based on that orientation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I click through an alert box with a VBScript automating IE?

    I have a VBScript that is running through a list of actions in IE, and at one point the site displays an Alert box with "OK" and "Cancel" as options. 'OK' is focused when the alert box appears, however SendKeys "{ENTER}" isn't doing the trick. I think perhaps the browser window still has the focus of the VBS. How can I tell the VBS to 'OK' the alert box and continue with the routines?

Also, is there a way to ensure the order of each dictionary key stays constant, e.g., always title, title_url, then id? Thank you.

They are always in the 5th field, which I can grab, but they appear at different places within a comma-separated list in the 5th field. Can somebody give me a regex to grab just the email address (delimeted by commas) from a line in this file?
