    Actually what I want - simple DB with simple User Interface. Like MS Access, but for web and it can be without Dragn n Drop, but described with markup language. For example if I want to create list report, then i need to write something like: <table query="SELECT * from mytable"></table> It needed for simple data applications. In that kind application no programming logic required. Just working with DB. Changing DB data and showing it.

  • SharePoint: Why is the Page property in my web part null?

    I am trying to include an Image control within my web part. In EnsureChildControls I have the following code: Image image = new Image(); image.ImageUrl = this.Page.ClientScript.GetWebResourceUrl(this.GetType(), "hotline.jpg"); I get a NullPointer exception and this is because 'Page' is null. Why might this be? Am I doing this all wrong anyway?

  • How to securely enable file sharing over PPTP on Windows 2008 Server

    I have set up a Windows SBS 2003 domain (LAN) and a stand-alone Windows 2008 Server (web server) at another location (workgroup). I established PPTP VPN connection (SBS dials web server) over which users from LAN should be able to access web server. On web server I enabled TCP/IPv4 and File and Printer sharing protocol. It has a few external addresses (one of them is default) AND one local address (192.x.x.x) assigned to network adapter. Firewall allows port 445 for file sharing. There's the problem - I can not enable web server file shares to be visible to LAN users and ONLY to LAN users: From SBS I can access webserver but I cannot access webserver from LAN workstations (XP, Vista). I have had same configuration - I have just replaced old (web server) Windows 2003 server with 2008 so SBS settings are the same (static route, DNS etc.). How can I enable file sharing on web server for LAN workstations? Now I have opened File and printer sharing to the internet which is of course totaly unsecure. I tried to secure the tunnel so I moved RAS (VPN) connection (Network Center) on web server to "Private" profile and moved firewall port 445 to "Private" profile but suddenly file sharing does not work and I cannot telnet webserver on port 445. How can I secure file sharing so I do not have to open it to the internet?

    I have run into issue when set up IIS 7 Farm for Load balancing. Add 4 server to IIS Farm with appropriate ports(8080,8081,8082,8083). Also add Inbound rule for IIS Farm. The Tomcat instances listens these ports. When i'm opening url(which i set on inbound rule), i got the following exception: The virtual path 'null' maps to another application, which is not allowed.     I have set up Derby Network Server to be hosted within a Tomcat environment. This works great.   • Separate domains vs. one domain with alias-domains

    I have tried to ask this question a few days ago but I'm afraid it was not clear enough, so here's another try. I have set up a LAMP-server using ISPConfig 3 for the administration. PHP is running over Fast-CGI. I have several domains, like my_site.com, my_site.net and my_site.org, but they all point to the same application/website. Each domain has its own web-root-folder and is running under its own user. The application itself is in a common directory which is owned by another user, like so: # path to my_application (owned by web1) /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/my_application/ # sym-link to my_application from my_site.com-web-root (owned by web5) /var/www/my_site.com/web -> /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/ # sym-link to my_application from my_site.net (owned by web4) /var/www/my_site.net/web -> /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/ With a setup like this I have encountered a few problems concerning the permissions when performing filesystem-operations with PHP. For instance, if the application is called via my_site.com, the user web5 is trying to write something to the application-folder. But the application-folder is owned by the user web1, so web5 is not allowed to write there. As far as I unterstand, this is how Fast-CGI works. After some research and asking a few people, the solution seems to be to break it all down to one domain (e.g. my_site.com) and define the other domains (my_site.org, my_site.net) as alias for this one domain. That way, there would be only one user who has all necessary permissions. However, this would mean that we'd have to buy a multidomain SSL-certificate - but we already have an SSL-certificate for each domain. We were able to use them with our previous provider (managed hosting), and there we also had only one web-directory and multiple domains. So if this was possible, I wonder: Is putting all the domains together into one v-host with one main- and several alias-domains the right approach in this case? Or may I have misunderstood something?

  • A class meant for an alfresco behavior and its bean, how do they work and how are they deployed trough eclipse

    (This is a partial repost of a question asked 10 days ago because only 1 part was answered(not included), I've rewritten it into a way better question and added 3 more tags) where do I put the DeleteAsset.class or why isn't it being found? I've put the compiled class from the bin of the workspace of eclipse into alfresco-4.2.c/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/com/openerp/behavior/ and right now it's giving me Error loading class [com.openerp.behavior.DeleteAsset] for bean with name 'deletionBehavior' defined in URL [file:/home/openerp/alfresco-4.2.c/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/cust??om-web-context.xml]: problem with class file or dependent class; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/openerp/behavior/DeleteAsset (wrong name: DeleteAsset) when I put it in there.     I want a website to be deployed automatically to a local IIS (built in Windows XP Pro SP3), avoiding VisualStudio-built-in server if possible. I'd like development source files to be stored in a project folder outside wwwroot (I wouldn't mind built files to be copied to wwwroot each time I press F5). I don't store my projects inside default directories inside "My documents". What should I specify as in "Web location" when starting an "New website" in Visual Studio 2010? A deployment path in wwwroot, a folder where I'd like to save my project, or something else? I want the website to be a part of a complex solution in VS 2010, also icludinc a class libray project, a WinForms application project, a Windows Service project and a common Entitity Framework data model.

    i'm just wondering if you guys have ever had a situation where you were offered a web development project which you turned down because you felt it was unethical or morally questionable. i've only had this once. i was offered a contract to develop a website for a meat abattoir (i.e. slaughterhouse). what's the problem you may ask? i'm vegetarian. i know, it's not an egregious dilemma, but it just didn't seem right to me. i have a female graphic designer friend who declined to work on a sex toys website where she was working at the time. funny thing is, it wouldn't bother me to work on a porn site (as long as it wasn't anything shifty - e.g. dwarfs + donkeys, that sort of thing). anyone else ever had a similar experience?

    I'm a web developer and I'm getting envious of all the cool iPhone apps. I know nothing about C or what ever language they use to make iPhone apps. I really have no idea where to start. What do I need to do? Should I take a class, buy a book? I have a pretty good grasp on programing, I do tons of HTML, CSS and Javascript development and some PHP and Action Scripting. I'm not very good with Object Oriented Programing but I think I could pick it up if I used it more. I love video tutorials like lynda.com or net.tutsplus.com. I learn best buy jumping in and getting my hands dirty.
