• Why can't WordPress create directories when uploading themes?

  I can't workout how to solve this problem so wordpress would let me upload themes. I have a fresh copy of Fedora 17 installed on my dev machine. I then installed mysql using: yum install mysql mysql-server. Next I installed WordPress which also installs apache and php: yum install wordpress I can go to http://localhost/wordpress and see WordPress working. But when I try tried to install my theme it asked for ftp credentials. I then updated the wp-config.php file and set the FS_METHOD constant to direct. Now it doesn't ask for ftp credentials but it gives me this error: Could not create directory. /usr/share/wordpress/wp-content/themes/my-theme-name/ httpd service is running under 'apache' user and 'apache' group. The /usr/share/wordpress/ directory is recursively own by 'apache' user and 'apache' group too. I've even set the permissions to 777 (also recursively) and even then I keep getting the same error as above. How can I solve this problem?

Each Node has a String title, and I want to make a query where I select Set<String> titles, being the title of this node and of all parent nodes. How do I write this query?   I have a property int? MyProperty as a member in my datasource (ObjectDataSource). Can I bind this to a TextBox, like <asp:TextBox ID="MyTextBox" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("MyProperty") %>' /> Basically I want to get a null value displayed as blank "" in the TextBox, and a number as a number. If the TextBox is blank MyProperty shall be set to null. If the TextBox has a number in it, MyProperty should be set to this number. If I try it I get an exception: "Blank is not a valid Int32". But how can I do that? How to work with nullable properties and Bind? Thanks in advance!

• Trouble with onscreen keyboard orientation in iPhone OpenGL ES application.

  I need to take keyboard input in my OpenGL ES application, so I just created an empty UITextView and added it as a subview to the main window along with the view that presents my content. I use the UITextview to control the keyboard and it works fine in a single orientation. I then changed my code to support all orientations by rotating the OpenGL content myself based on UIDeviceOrientation notifications. To rotate the keyboard, I overrode the shouldAutoRotateInterfaceOrientation method in the UITextView's controller. But I still see that the keyboard does not rotate according to the orientation. Any clues?

• Prototypejs .evalJSON not returning object

If I run .evalJSON(true) (to sanitize) an error happens within prototype saying "json" is undefined. The same happens if I do .evalJSON(). If I do .evalJSON with no parenthesis, then data is just an empty object and no error happens. Is there something wrong with my JSON?

• MkMapView setRegion animation prevents touch events on Annotation Views

  Hi there! We have a MKmapView with a bunch of Image Annotation where each Image annotation responds to touch by overriding these methods of AnnotationView subclass: -(void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event; -(void) touchesEnded:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event Our map region is updated using [MkMapView setRegion:animated:] whenever the new location is received and is far enough from the old location to make a difference. What I noticed is that if we set animated flag to YES the touches on our annotation are rarely detected(probably due to the fact that main thread is busy animating between two map regions. When we set animated flag to NO, everything is fine, but map transition may(or may not) become jerky. The question I have is whether this is an expected behavior of animated flag of [MkMapView setRegion:animated] function or whether there is a workaround for this issue. Thanks in advance

  Having just set up a test framework for a new web application, I realized I missed one of the big questions: "How do I make tests independent from each other?" Years ago I have set up some complicated Ant scripting to do full cycles of deleting all database tables, creating the schema again, adding test data, starting the application, running one test and then stopping the application. That was a pain to maintain and restricted us to nightly tests due to the time it took to run the full suite. It was still worth it, but I wonder if there is an easier way. Are there alternatives to this approach? The main criterion is that each test should not be affected by any other test in the suite, no matter if it failed or succeeded.

  Hi, I create a TableLayout which has 3 equally-wide columns (I put 'stretchColumns="*" in my TableLayout which has 3 TextViews). See below: But my questions is why I set one of the TextView to 'visibility' to Gone in my java code, the TableLayout does not re-size to 2 qually-wide columns which fit the whole screen. I have even call 'tableLayout.requestLayout()' after i set the visibility to Gone.' How can I achieve what I want? I just can't install the package above (gst, pygtk is successfully installed). i was told that I need to install python-devel but I have no idea where from.   Hey guys I'm working on the Microsoft Surface Table and I'm attempting to drag an item from 1 SurfaceListBox to another and recognize which SurfaceListBoxItem the other SurfaceListBoxItem was dropped on top of. The SDK help as a great tutorial for dragging items from 1 SurfaceListBox to the next and just adding the content and removing it from the other. If I set AllowDrop=True on the SurfaceListBoxItem the SurfaceListBox still captures the drop. If I set it to false on the SurfaceListBox it doesn't recognize the drop at all. Somehow I need to bury deeper on that drop or something.

  Hi, I have a 2 processes to perform in my swing application, one to fill a list, and one to do operations on each element on the list. I've just moved the 2 processes into Swingworker threads to stop the GUI locking up while the tasks are performed, and because I will need to do this set of operations to several lists, so concurrency wouldn't be a bad idea in the first place. However, when I just ran fillList.execute();doStuffToList.execute(); the doStuffToList thread to ran on the empty list (duh...). How do I tell the second process to wait until the first one is done? I suppose I could just nest the second process at the end of the first one, but i dunno, it seems like bad practice.

  I have a console application in Visual studio. i have log4net stuff with smtp appender in my app.config file. I have set environment variable in my code (i.e. my email address) and trying to reference this environment variable to send email. However log4net doesn't seem to read this value when the application is run. • ffmpeg 0.5 flv to wav conversion creates wav files that other programs won't open.

  Hi, I am using the following command to convert FLV files to audio files to feed into julian, a speech to text program. cat ./jon2.flv | ffmpeg -i - -vn -acodec pcm_s16le -ar 16000 -ac 1 -f wav - | cat - > jon2.wav The cat's are there for debugging purposes as the final use will be a running program that will pipe FLV into ffmpeg's stdin and the stdout going to julian. The resulting wave files are identified by "file" as: jon3.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit, mono 16000 Hz VLC (based on ffmpeg) plays the file, but no other tools will open/see the data. They show empty wav files or won't open/play. For example Sound Booth from CS4. Has anyone else had similar problems? Julian requires wav files 16bit mono at 16000 Hz. Julian does seem to read the file, but doesn't seem to go through the entire file (may be unrelated). Thanks, -rr

  I have installed Ubuntu Server 10.10 and I am using it to host a domain that I have. I am trying to set up FTP for the server, but I am running into some problems. I have successfully installed vsFTPd and I have opened up ports 20, 21 on my firewall. In my vsFTPd configuration, I have enabled SSL. Every time I try to connect to my server via FTP, I receive a "Connection Refused" error. I have had a little more success with SSL disabled, however the connection process will time out after the LIST command (but it does accept my authentication). Currently, in order to return a limited result set of data to my calling reference using SubSonic I use a similar function as below: _DataSet = from CatSet in t2_aspnet_shopping_item_category.All() join CatProdAssignedLink in t2_aspnet_shopping_link_categoryproduct.All() on CatSet.CategoryID equals CatProdAssignedLink.CategoryID join ProdSet in t2_aspnet_shopping_item_product.All() on CatProdAssignedLink.ProductID equals ProdSet.ProductID where ProdSet.ProductID == __ProductID orderby CatProdAssignedLink.LinkID ascending select CatSet; and select the first item from the data set. Is there a way to limit the lookup initially to a certain amount of rows? I'm using MySQL as the base database.

  Why not using array of errors instead of throwing errors and check if it's not empty later in the code.... Exception handling is very confusing to me , I can not understand it's purpose ... can anybody enlighten me !? they compare it with die() as better not to stop the execution of the code , why would I stop the execution of code if I don't want to !? ofcourse I do I'm a beginner programmer , it might be confusing to you as well , or because i'm not very experienced in this ugly thing.   Hello, I'm working with OpenCV on a beagleboard with ubuntu and OpenCV 1.1 interfaced via Python. I'm trying to set something up to capture a feed from a UVC compatible webcam (logitech C250). I have tested the webcam with luvcview and it works but only if I set the input format to YUV. If I run it in 'normal' mode I am getting back jpeg frames and something - somewhere is not happy! I'm trying to connect with the webcam in OpenCV as I want to get the image back from the webcam and run some analysis on it. As I have a limited device this seems to be the most efficient way of doing it - however I need to instruct the capturing system to capture in YUV and not jpeg. Is there a way of doing this (for example luvcview allow me to enter luvcview -f YUVY)? Cheers, Neil

  Hey all, A short while ago, I'm fairly certain I came across an application (or perhaps a plugin for Coda - the IDE I use) which quickly parses a html document and then spits out all of the elements with IDs and Classes for me to use in a CSS file. Having fully 'got into' zen coding - using the wonderful TEA plugin for Coda, I'm now hot on the heels of this app/plugin again. I've tried and failed miserably at hunting through Google, but have come up completely empty handed. Does anyone know of anything which can do this? Happy New Year everyone!
