  • Convert video format to Flash Video automatically

    I need to allow web site users to upload videos to my web site in various common formats. From these I need to convert them to Flash video, and also limit their lengths and size. I need to do this automatically as part of the web site processing. Is there some simple tool that will allow me to do this? If not, can you point me in a direction that might help me out. Thanks.

  • IE-only Styling for jQuery qTip

    I'm using jquery.qTip on http://comps.gunnjerkens.com/phws/services/ Looks beautiful with the drop shadow and rounded borders in modern browsers...unfortunately the drop shadow is lost on IE. So I want to specify an IE-only rule that makes the border a different color than white. Here's how I currently have it setup: $(this).qtip({ content: the_content, position: { corner: { target: 'bottomLeft', tooltip: 'topLeft' }, adjust: { screen: true } }, style: { border: { radius: 4, color: '#FFFFFF' }, color: '#7D9240' } }); // qtip() }); I appreciate any help!

  • Does visibility affect DOM manipulation performance?

    IE7/Windows XP I have a third party component in my page that does a lot of DOM manipulation to adjust itself each time the browser window is resized. Unfortunately I have little control of what it does internally and I have optimized everything else (such as callbacks and event handlers) as much as I can. I can't take the component off the flow by setting display:none because it fails measuring itself if I do so. In general, does setting visibility of the container to invisible during the resize help improve DOM rendering performance?

I've done it via grep -P command, but on remote machine grep is build without perl regular expression support. Looks like sed or awk is exactly what I need, but I don't familiar with them.     Hi, I have run into a problem where I am removing a component and adding another one. I have set addedEffect and removedEffect for corresponding component. But the addedEffect starts before the removedEffect completes. How can i make them in order ?? I am doing this in actionscript.So, in this case i'm not using state and transition.
