  • Help me for creating huge database in Mysql

    We are building a website for business on global wise, for every country major cities are covered in this concept. I need some suggestions from PHP Mysql People. Can i create single databse for all cities or multiple databases. Because in this system contains some relations between cities ,every chamber need nearly 50 tables for networking and some other tables. If I can create separate databases for every chamber there would be nearly 50*1000 tables need because we have 1000 cities. So Please give suggestions how can i build database for my system. Using imagejpeg (quality of 80) instead of imagepng it's about 4kB. How can this be, especially at the lowest quality setting for imagepng? I tried using imagecopy instead of imagecopyresampled, and imagecreate instead of the true color version. Unfortunately the images come out mangled somehow. Is there any way to get PNG thumbnails of a reasonably small file size (about 4 kB at 140 x 140)? Or do I have to use JPEG?

  • Creating sublines on Joomla menu items

    In my toplevel menu items, I would like to make a subline for each item. I don't think it's possible to do by default, byt YooTheme has done it in many of their templates. The menu output look like this <div class="moduletable_menu"> <ul id="mainmenu" class="menu"> <li class="active item1" id="current"> <a href="URL_HIDDEN"> <span>Services</span> </a> </li> </ul> This basically outputs a one line menu item like so: Services What I would like to do is have a menu item like this: Services Service x, Service y, Service z For reference, have a look at the main menu on the YooTheme demo page. The way YooTheme does this, is using two pipes (||) as a linebreak, so in the Joomla backend you type "Services||Service x, Service y, Service z" as the menu title, and then there must be some fancy javascript that breaks this title into two spans, ready to be styled using css. Does anyone know of an easy way to code this? Please note that I am looking to build this feature into a custom template (ie. non-yootheme). Also note that I am not using MooTools, but Jquery instead.

    I've define a type: type Foo is record bar : Positive; end record; I want to create a function that returns an instance of the record: function get_foo return Foo is return (1); end get_foo; But Ada won't let me, saying "positional aggregate cannot have one argument". Stupidly trying, I've added another dumb field to the record, and then return (1, DOESNT_MATTER); works! How do I tell Ada that's not a positional aggregate, but an attempt to create a record?

    Hi , I have some activities in my project like, Alerts,HomePage , Calculator etc. What i want to accomplish is to create tabs for all these activities and insert images for these. When we touch the tab the corresponding activity must load. I have done it using the menu options. But i must accomplish this using tabs. The tabs must also be at the bottom of the page... Something like this... Can anyone guide through the process...??? Should i create another class Tabs.java and tabs.xml or should i write tab host for each activity...??? I have tried to find it in google and also in stackoverflowbut in vague. Plz give a solution...

    I want to draw many polygons to the screen but i'm quickly noticing that it slows down quickly. I can't upload them directly to the card because my program will allow the user to reshape the verticies. My question is, how can I speed this up. I'm not using depth. I also know it's not my GetCamera() functions because if I create 500,000 polygons spread apart t's fine, it just has trouble showing them in the view. If a graphics card can support 500,000,000 on screen polygons per second, this should be easy right? Thanks

  • Creating PHP strings using other variables...works manually, can't figure out how automatically

    Hello, I'm trying to get a variable to be formed automatically using data pulled from a mysql database. I know the data is being pulled from the database in some form resembling its original form, but that data does not act the same as data that is manually typed and assigned to a string. For example, if a cell in a mysql table says... I said "goodbye" before I left. She also said "goodbye." ...and I manually copy/paste it and add the necessary escapes... $string1 = " I said \"goodbye\" before I left. She also said \"goodbye.\" "; ...that does not equal... $string1 = $mysqlResultArray['specificCellWithQuoteShownAbove'] Interestingly, if I echo both versions of $string1 and view the output, they appear to be exactly the same. But they do not function the same when put through various functions I've created. The functions only work if I do the manual copy/paste method--which is not what I want, obviously. I'm not sure if it has to do with the line breaks or the escapes--or some combination of the two. But while both strings are superficially the same, they are apparently functionally different and I don't know why. So how can I create $string1 without manually copy/pasting the contents from the mysql entry and instead querying for the data and assigning it to $string1 in such a way that it's exactly functionally equivalent as the manual copy/pasted string?

    I'm switching from MockStrutsTestCase to Mockrunner and I'm finding that having to manually re-create all of my DynaActionForms in Mockrunner is a pain...there has to be an easier way?! Can somebody offer a tip to simplify this process?   • Pattern for creating a database schema using JDBC

    I have a Java-application that loads data from a legacy file format into an SQLite-Database using JDBC. If the database file specified does not exist, it is supposed to create a new one. Currently the schema for the database is hardcoded in the application. I would much rather have it in a separate file as an SQL-Script, but apparently there is now easy way to execute an SQL-Script though JDBC. Is there any other way or a pattern to achieve something like this?

    Don't worry, I'm not going to ask that question, yet again... I am wanting to create my own programming language, just for learning sake. I don't want anything other than possibly a few links to head me into the right direction. MSDN Documentation on C# that is specific to what is required to create a language would be great! For the time being, all I am wanting to create is a very simple language that allows me to Create a Form, add a control to it, give that control a location, and maybe even some properties like a Text property, or maybe even a Color property.     I am working on an application where the app user can create / delete queues . Also , he would be able to move a message from 1 queue to another, delete a message , rearrange the messages in the queue based on some filter. One possible design is to use activemq for queues and apache camel for various other operations having integrated with Grails. But I am not sure whether ActiveMQ allows creation /deleltion queues at runtime. Would this be a good choice to implement such system?

    what i need is a server that listens to 5060 port , when the client sends data to that port the server should open up another port ( any port after 1250 i believe ) and forward the clients data to that port keeping 5060 idle so it can perform the same function for the next client so basically i need the server to a) open up multiple ports one for each client b) get the voice data from the client and be able to send voice data to that client i m looking into the hardware specs and other such details of the scenario so i dont have time to make such a program myself if theres a code that i can run directly ( both server and client side ) on visual studio .net 2010 that will perform these tasks then that would be extremely helpful thanks alot in advance

    My program has the feature to export a hi-res image of the working canvas to the disk. Users will frequently try to export images of about 20,000 x 10,000 pixels @ 32bpp which equals about 800MB. Add that to the serious memory consumption already going on in your average 3D CAD program and you'll pretty much guarantee an out-of-memory crash on 32-bit platforms. So now I'm exporting tiles of 1000x1000 pixels which the user has to stitch together afterwards in a pixel editor. Is there a way I can solve this problem without the user doing any work? I figured I could probably write a small exe that gets command-lined into the process and performs the stitching automatically. It would be a separate process and it would thus have 2GB of ram all to itself. Or is there a better way still? I'd like to support jpg, png and bmp so writing the image as a bytestream to the disk is not really possible.

Is it completely wrong to keep variables local in a loop whenever possible? I was under the (perhaps false) impression that this would provide optimization opportunities for the compiler. EDIT: I use VC++2005 (release mode) with full optimization (/Ox)

    i must create something like dictionary in my site, but there is one problem, i don't imagine ho to solve. the client wants the following: in the CMS he must be able to write some specification to some words or even sentences, and after it, in the site, onmouseover() of that words, i must show it's specification in popup window. for example, in the cms he writes "hello word" - "specification of hello world", and then, in the site, if i have the text many many words here hello world and another words... onmouseover of "hello world" i must show "specification of hello world". the problem, that i don't know how to solve, is how to write the functions on the text content? could you give me an idea...     I've been trying to create a tabbed interface using Django. The current effort (which works fine) is having each template have the header hard-coded in, with the selected tab given the "selected" CSS attribute. Of course, this is a massive violation of DRY and I'm looking to remedy it. My current idea is adding a jQuery script to the page that looks at all the tabs and sets one to "selected" if it's text matches the beginning of the title for the page. Is there a better way to do this without using JavaScript and just pure CSS?
