• HttpWebRequest giving "target machine actively refused" error

  I am trying to access a URI through HttpWebRequest and am getting the "target machine actively refused" error. I know from a machine that has no proxy this works fine and i know my corp internet uses a PAC file to determine the proxy however it doesnt seem to be picking this up for me. Here is what i know: My app.config has I presume i dont need to specify WebRequest.DefaultWebProxy but that makes no difference I can explictly set the proxy with WebProxy and NetworkCredentials which works Any ideas? Anybody have experience with PAC files and why I can access the target through IE but not through code. obviously if i hardcode the proxy it all works so it would seem that this same proxy is not being auto detected?

  I have created custome Membership Role and Profile provider using INGRES db. Now I can see my IngresMembership and IngresRole provider in the Provider tab(Select a different provider for each feature (advanced) ) of WSAT but when I clik on security tab I get this error: "There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store. The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." What am I missing? Do I need to add code for all override methods for Role provider? I have just written code for the Initialize and GetRolesForUser functions. Thanks

• Whenever Gem gives error on Ruby 1.9.3 - No Such File To Load

  I've used whenever gem with ruby 1.9.2 without any problems, but I installed ruby 1.9.3p125 on my server and it stopped working. • All sites give Error 500 under Sharepoint Foundation (SP2010)

  I've just installed Sharepoint Foundatuion on my W2008 64bit server and got it up and running as far as being able to access the Central Admin etc just fine. I did have to disable 32 bit apps in the application pools for all the SP sites and also, following a tip on here, add a config option for bitness64 as a prerequisite for the services. However whenever I try to access the "Sharepoint - 80" site itself (or another site collection I created in the admin tool), I am getting an unhelpful 500 error. The log doesn't add anything - I can't find anything to give me a clue as to what it's complaining about. The server is a hosted VPS and all services like SQL are running locally (and are OK). Any ideas where I look next? M

  I am a CS student learning java so I do some work at home and at college on a mixture of linux and windows. I have a problem after copying a new project into the eclipse workspace. The project shows up but with a red exclamation mark and an error saying: "The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved" Can somebody help me out with this? • Getting a permission error when trying to connect to sql database

  I have a sql server on a dedicated machine, running SQL 2008. I have the IP of the box, a database setup on it. I've built a small script that just does a connection test, and when I run it, I get the following error. Request for the permission of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission, System.Data, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. I've been told by the admin that SQL remote access has been granted for my IP address. Anybody know what's wrong?

• Nested for loop error with !null checking an element that doesn't exist

  I am currently using nested for loops in a 2D array of size 4,2. When I run my program, I get index out of bounds Exception on the following line else if (state[i][j+1] != null && state[i][j].getFlash() <= state[i][j].getCycleLength() && state[i][j+1].getCycleLength() == state[i][j].getCycleLength()){ } It says the index out of bounds is 2. I would understand the error if I wasn't checking to see if [i][j+1] wasn't null, but I don't understand the exception with the check? I tried moving around the !null check but the program still fails on this line. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My update_act.php file is <?php echo "Old Activity Name : ".$_POST['$row[\'act_name\']']; ?> But I am getting an error Undefined index: $row['act_name'] in C:\wamp\www\ps\activity\update_act.php. I want to have different names for different submits but I am not able to get its value in another page. Is there any way for it?

• Debug error in NetBeans

  I am running a C program in NetBeans (cygwin on windows). Generally for all C programs I have run in the past, while debugging, it stops and shows the line number of segmentation fault. But for this particular program, it does not show the line number and just stops and in the output tab, it shows prog stopped by SIGSEGV. I have tried conditional breakpoint, but it is not stopping. What could be the other conditions for error? I wrote a question and I supposed that three errors will occurred in the code but the compiler complained only about two. the code is : class MyClass { static MyClass() { System.out.println("I am The First Statement here!"); this(); } } I expected the following errors : the constructor can't be static this can't be in a static function (since the constructor isn't valid) this here should be the first statement. NetBeans isn't complaining about the second error here. why ?

• checksum error with building an HTTP packet(but over TCP, like syn/ack its ok)

  I am building a NAT program,I change each packet that comes from our internal subnet, change it's source IP address by libnet functions.( catch the packet with libpcap, put it sniff structures and build the new packet with libnet) I am trying to build an http packet. When I look on wireshark, I see that the new packet that I have built is exectly like the original packet(the only diffrent is that I changed the src port and ip), but there is a checksum error, So the server don't do anything with the packet that I have sent to him, beacuse the cheksum field is wrong. When I send a tcp packet(like syn or ack), the checksum is ok, and the server respons. Is anyone knows what can cause this problem? the new checksum in other packets is calculated as it should be.. but in the HTTP packet it doesn't..
