• Is PHP enough to be a great developer or do you have to learn Rails/Python?

  My question really is can you do EVERYTHING in PHP that you can do in (Ruby)Rails/Django(python)? By me just concentrating on PHP (Framworks too) will i be losing out in someway? I prefer PHP but everyone tells me Rails is better? Any advice? Thank you in advance ;-)

At this point I'm mostly curious about how the files should be arranged into directories so that development of the website can be manageable. This includes javascript scripts, images, stylesheets, cgi scripts, html files, pure php files that define common functions, etc. Question: Can someone point me to an explanation about how such a website is typically organized on the server?

  I'm working on a college exercise and have the following question: What is the domain of the "country" table? My understanding of domain is that it defines the possible values of an attribute. This means that the table "country" doesn't have a domain, but the various attributes in the table "country" have their own domains. For example the attribute "SurfaceArea" has the domain FLOAT(10,2) and the attribute "Name" has the domain CHAR(52). Is this correct?

My question is a design one, should I save the data in SQlite or just keep it as an XML file, which one would be faster to read? The app can only use one content piece at a time, which means subsequent XML content downloads replace the old one.

  I have a very simple matlab question. What is the easiest way to find the point of intersection between two vectors. I am not familiar with the various matlab fuctions -- it seems like there should be one for this.
