• Default encoding type for wsHttp binding

  My understanding was that the default encoding for wsHttp binding is text. • What is the best way to read and write cXML documents in C# ?

  I know this is a vague open ended question. I'm hoping to get some general direction. I need to add cXML punchout to an ASP.NET C# site / application. This is replacing something that I wrote years ago in ColdFusion. I'm a reasonably experienced C# developer but I haven't done much with XML. There seems to be lots of different options for processing XML in .NET. Here's the open ended question: Assuming that I have an XML document in some form, eg a file or a string, what is the best way to read it into my code? I want to get the data and then query databases etc. The cXML document size and our traffic volumes are easily small enough so that loading the a cXML document into memory is not a problem. Should I: 1) Manually build classes based on the dtd and use the XML Serializer? 2) Use a tool to generate classes. There are sample cXML files downloadable from Ariba.com. I tried xsd.exe to generate an xsd and then xsd.exe /c to generate classes. When I try to deserialize I get errors because there seems to be "confusion" around whether some elements should be single values or arrays. I tried the CodeXS online tool but that gives errors in it's log and errors if I try to deserialize a sample document. 2) Create a dataset and ReadXml()? 3) Create a typed dataset and ReadXml()? 4) Use Linq to XML. I often use Linq to Objects so I'm familiar with Linq in general but I'm struggling to see what it gives me in this situation. 5) Some other means. I guess I need to improve my understanding of XML in general but even so ... am I missing some obvious way of doing this? In the old ColdFusion site I found a free component ("tag") which basically ignored any schema and read the XML into a "structure" which is essentially a series of nested hash tables which was then easy to read in code. That was probably quite sloppy but it worked. I also need to generate XML files from my C# objects. Maybe Linq to XML will be good for that. I could start with a default "template" document and manipulate it before saving. Thanks for any pointers ...

  I have a SolrPhpClient on my classifieds website, and whenever users wants to add/remove classified the index in Solr gets updated via Php code. So I wonder, does this mean that my Solr index is open for anybody to alter with? Same Q applies to the Solr Admin page. If I set a password for the admin page, does this mean that my classifieds website wont have access to updating/removing documents from the Solr index? Thanks

So does that make the variable byte to contain 8 next bits at the beginning of every loop? It doesn't matter what those bytes really are. The only thing that matters is that I need to read a file in 8-bit stacks.

• SQL error - Cannot convert nvarchar to decimal

  I have a C# application that simply parses all of the txt documents within a given network directory and imports the data to a SQL server db. Everything was cruising along just fine until about the 1800th file when it happend to have a few blanks in columns that are called out as DBType.Decimal (and the value is usually zero in the files, not blank). So I got this error, "cannot convert nvarchar to decimal". I am wondering how I could tell the app to simply skip the lines that have this issue?? Perhaps I could even just change the column type to varchar even tho values are numbers (what problems could this create?) • Datagridview error

  I have two datagridviews. So for the second one, i just copy-pasted the code from the first and changed where the difference was. But i get an error at the secod data grid when i want to view the result of my sql code. Translated in english the error show something like that there was no value given to at least one required parameter. • Why does Event intent in android not return a result?

  I am creating a event using Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_EDIT); intent.setType("vnd.android.cursor.item/event"); And invoking the intent using startActivityForResult(intent, Constants.LINK_CALENDER); There is nothing returned to call in onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) It always returns data=null ie., returned intent result is always null. I am trying to retrieve the "Done/Revert" state of calender event just created and some identity so that i can open the event again in future from elsewhere in code.

  I've been having a problem with the stability of my role play emulator, every now and then, after awhile of using a command such as :shoot x , it will disconnect due to too many connections, or it will disconnect when people are messaging etc.. I've debugged it, and ran while playing it, it disconnected with the Too Many Connections error, Connection.Open(); Is the code that is causing the issue, how do i fix this?

  Hi all! I have a custom WebPart on my welcome page in SharePoint 2010. When I open the page without signing on, the whole WebPartZone remains unrendered (according to the responded html). • Why don't this toggle animation execute in all browsers

  I created several simple ggplot2 plots and saved them to PDF files using the following commands: p <- ggplot(plotobject, aes(x=Pos, y=Pval),res=300) ggsave(plot=p,height=6,width=6,dpi=200, filename="~/example.pdf") If I now open this example.pdf in Adobe Illustrator I get the following error: The font AdobePiStd is missing. Affected text will be displayed using a substitute font. Is there a way in ggplot2 to specify a font (I presume this is for the dots/points) that Adobe will understand or otherwise is there a way to get this font working in Adobe?
