    Is there any way of organizing a icon collection so that it easier to find needed icons? For example: the program needs a save icon there are 5 icons collections on your HD that have a save icon and there are 5 more collections that don't have a save icon (but you don't know that) do you browse through each icon collection? run a search (assumes files are named consistently)? Would it be ideal to have some sort of organized directory (printable?)?

    I'm doing a little program and I want to distribute using this recipe: single directory with _main_.py in it zip this directory and echo #!/usr/bin/env python\n file.zip making it executable The problem is that in this package I have also extra files (I'm using pygtk toolkit and I need images and ui xml files). When I try to access these files I have the error that the resource is unavailable (the path that I'm trying to open is something like file.zip/gui/gui.ui ). How can I handle this situation?

  • Porting 32 bit C++ code to 64 bit - is it worth it? Why?

    I am aware of some the obvious gains of the x64 architecture (higher addressable RAM addresses, ect)... but: What if my program has no real need to run in native 64 bit mode. Should I port it anyway? Are there any foreseeable deadlines for ending 32 bit support? Would my application run faster / better / more secure as native x64 code?

    I have a php file with an xml header and xml code, named test.php. How do I load this file as an xml? The following doesn't work: $xml = simplexml_load_file('test.php'); echo $xml; I just get a white page. The test file is saved as php, as it's dynamic. It's loading data from the tradedoubler api.     I just came back to C++ Builder after 5 or more years away. I seem to remember a nice tool where I could drag its pointer over the GUI of my running application and get lots of info about what was pointed at - handle, size, text, parent, children, etc IIRC, if the exe include debug info I could also get the actual variable name as used in the source. Does anyone know what program I am talking about? Thanks
