I am embedding a file into an executable as an array, and I would later like to extract the embedded file from the executable.
It seems like objcopy might be useful here but I haven't figured out the proper incantation yet.
(Edit: clarify question, I somehow removed the crux of it in editing originally...)

Is there a way you can open and snoop DLLs? Like, see what functions are inside, etc?
Is there some sort of header in them with tables of functions, information embedded by the maker of the dll, etc? Also, how do you find/view that information?
Thanks!

How can I convert the below example to use an external file instead of the embedded lazy text quasi quotes?
{-# LANGUAGE QuasiQuotes, OverloadedStrings #-}
import Text.Shakespeare.Text
import qualified Data.Text.Lazy.IO as TLIO
import Data.Text (Text)
import Control.Monad (forM_)
data Item = Item
{ itemName :: Text
, itemQty :: Int
}
items :: [Item]
items =
[ Item "apples" 5
, Item "bananas" 10
]
main :: IO ()
main = forM_ items $ \item -> TLIO.putStrLn
[lt|You have #{show $ itemQty item} #{itemName item}.|]
This is from the yesod online book.
im lost here, need some help for something probably very simple:
I have embedded a swf object to play an flv file. i want the video to play as soon as the page loads rather than requiring the viewer/user to have to click the play button to see the video.
I'm not sure if it is the swf file, the script or the javascipt file that has to be edited, and with what code.
thanks
Hi,
My CrystalReportViewer won't display the charts in my Crystal Report. I get a red X.
I am using C# and MVC. I've read somewehre that I might need a virtual path to the image folder but I am not really sure what that means as my chart is embedded in the report....Maybe I am missing something. Plz can anyone elaborate.
Thanks
Susan
I'm compiling a C program for a MIPS embedded system.
GCC keeps sticking in stuff like __do_global_dtors_aux, frame_dummy, __do_global_ctors_aux.
How can I avoid that?
My application is a non-relational database application with a tcl interface to retrieve data. I would like to add SQL programming interface to my application.
Is there any library that converts SQL/PLSQL statements to API calls? It should also support stored procedures.
SQLite(Embedded) has 'virtual table' mechanism that suits my requirement but it lacks stored procedure feature.

Hey,
I'm really interested in the way of using lambda functions. Does it make sense to use them in a high-level programming language? If yes, why?
Is this really just a function embedded in a function (like this) or is there more behind?
Hi,
Having an .html file is it possible to force the browser to treat the contents as XHTML? I mean the file opened from both local or web location. Maybe some on-the-fly convertion or something like that?
The background:
Firefox and Opera supports natively MathML when the code is embedded in a XHTML file. I need to get a .html file with MathML that would be supported by the mentioned browsers properly.
Thank you for any support.

Hey, I'm just wondering what code I could use to auto change the size of the video being embedded before it gets displayed.
Example, I need to have it find all instances of this
width="any value" height="any value"
and replace them with this
width="540" height="405"
What are the most reliable encodings for sending email? I had some problems recently with .NET's System.Net.Mail default of quoted-printable ('=0D=0A' scattered throughout the message).
So I changed to iso-8859-1 for the body (set via alternative views), and 7bit for transfer (and base64 for embedded resources).
Are there the better choices?
How to pass a flashvar when I include the swf (to make an embedded player)

Hi, I couldn't find anything through Google, I suppose the search terms are too much to handle.
The VS built-in help only explains <%, which is just embedded code. There is no mention of <%:
EDIT:
My book says, that the only difference is that <%: returns a MvcHtmlString. Why do we need an extra symbol for <%: just to return something?
Thanks for any help! It would really help me to understand asp.net.
Our Flash widget is quite popular on the web.
There is a link to our web-site embedded inside the widget.
Does Google count this link as a back link to the site?
