    I'm starting with the two values below: finalString = "38,05,e1,5f,aa,5f,aa,d0"; string[] holder = finalString.Split(','); I'm looping thru holder like so: foreach (string item in holder) { //concatenate 0x and add the value to a byte array } On each iteration I would like to concatenate a 0x to make it a hex value and add it to a byte array. This is what I want the byte array to be like when I finish the loop: byte[] c = new byte[]{0x38,0x05,0xe1,0x5f,0xaa,0x5f,0xaa,0xd0}; So far all my attempts have not been successful. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The example PHP script for the gateway simply sets the XML like this curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $xmlRequest); // $xmlRequest is just a string of XML In all of my experience, generally you need to use an array with key/values or a string similar to GET params. I am using Kohana, and tracked down a cURL module. It accepts the POST key/values as an array only. Now, I could ditch the module and throw some cURL straight in, but I am using this module fine all throughout the site, so would prefer to use it here. So, my question is, how does that first one work? Does it just POST the whole thing without any named key? Is there a default key I could use for an array to get the module to work?

    I am working on a Excel 2007 workbook that will contain a macro to save the current sheet (a template) as a PDF file (no problem) a Excel 97-2003 file (problem) When saving the Excel file a messagebox appears asking about "Defined names of formulas in this workbook may display different values when they are recalculated...Do you want Excel to recalculate all formulas when this workbook is opened?". The user can then select Yes/No and then the file will save. How do I disable the messagebox from appearing? The default answer would be 'No'.     I have an application which I'm adding pictures and these are automatically converted to binary and stored in a single file. how can I save several images, I keep in an XML file start and size of each set of refente to an image byte. But it has several images in bytes, whenever I try to select a different set of bytes just opening the same image. I would like your help to be able to fix this and open different images.     Background: I'm trying to come up with a regex for a rewrite rule that will take anything that does not start with a particular prefix, and add that prefix to it. But urls that already have the prefix should be rejected by the regular expression (because they already have the url). Example: If the prefix is s1 a string like home will capture the home part. But a string like s1/home, will not capture anything. This way I can add the capture group onto the prefix, so that 'home' will become 's1/home'. I've tried (^s1/), but I'm missing something here, because that rejected 'home' for some reason.

The app crashes in the onActivityResult() function.     I need to find a way to do an INSERT INTO table A but one of the values is something that comes from a lookup on table B, allow me to illustrate. I have the 2 following tables: Table A: A1: String A2: Integer value coming from table B A3: More Data Table B: B1: String B2: Integer Value Example row of A: {"Value", 101, MoreData} Example row of B: {"English", 101} Now, I know I need to INSERT the following into A {"Value2", "English", MoreData} but obviously that won't work because it is expecting an Integer in the second column not the word "English", so I need to do a lookup in Table B first. Something like this: INSERT INTO tableA (A1, A2, A3) VALUES ("Value2", SELECT B2 FROM tableB where B1="English", MoreData); Obviously this doesn't work as-is ... Any suggestions?

  • How do I introspect on a SQL Server?

    I have a server with a vendor application which is heavily database-reliant. I need to make some minor changes to the data in a few tables in the database in an automated fashion. Just INSERTs and UPDATEs, nothing fancy. Vendors being vendors, I can never be quite sure when they change the schema of a database during upgrade. To that end, how do I ask the SQL server, in some scriptable fashion, "Hey, does this table still exist? Yeah, cool, okay, but does it have this column? What's the data type and size on that? Is it nullable? Could you give me a list of tables? In this table, could you give me a list of columns? Any primary keys there?" I do not need to do this for the whole schema, only part of it, just a quick check of the database before I launch into things. We have Microsoft SQL Server 2005 on it currently, but it might easily move to Microsoft SQL Server 2008. I am probably not using the correct terminology when searching. I do know that ORM is not only too much overhead for this sort of thing, but also that I have no chance of pitching it to my coworkers.

This works just fine, but the problem is that the call to getBeansOfType() is time-consuming. However, even though we ignore the return value of this call, if we try to eliminate this call, then the instance of MyClass returned by getBean() is not fully initialized. (So, apparently, the call to getBeansOfType() is having some sort of side-effects that we need.) We suspect that the call to getBeansOfType() is overkill and we could do something more lightweight so that the instance of MyClass obtained by the call to getBean() would be fully initialized (but it's not null and no exception is thrown). So, is there a more efficient way of doing this?
