    Could someone please give me a link on how to create a query in JDBC that gets a variable name in the WHERE statement, or write an example, to be more specific, my code looks something like this: private String getLastModified(String url) { String lastModified = null; ResultSet resultSet; String query = "select LastModified from CacheTable where " + " URL.equals(url)"; try { resultSet = sqlStatement.executeQuery(query); } Now I need the syntax that enables me to return a ResultSet object where URL in the cacheTable equals url from the method's argument. thanks

It is told in a book: Illustrated C# 2008(Page 373) that the int variable y is inside the scope of del2 definition. Then why these errors.

    Hi I'm running a web application that allows a user to log in. The user can add/remove content to his/her 'library' which is displayed on a page called "library.php". Instead of querying the database for the contents of the users library everytime they load "library.php", I want to store it globally for PHP when the user logs in, so that the query is only run once. Is there a best practice for doing this? fx. storing their library in an array in a session? Thanks for your time

    On a MVC 2 website what I want to do is get a list of products / CategoryId. From that list, create a list of distinct CategoryId's. Then randomly pick a categoryId from the second list and use it to get all the products for that categoryId. I then want to store that CategoryId so that I don't display those products on the next run. I don't need any code examples to start. What I'm wondering is that I think I would put this code in a class in my model (Dll) and store the list of displayed CategoryId's in session. Is this a good solution or should I go another way?     I realize that this could probably be done easier in any number of other scripting languages but started to do it quick in cmd and now Im curious. Looking to start a process at an offset to the time that another process started. Lets say 5 minutes to keep it simple. Is there a way to add to the %TIME% variable? In other words, should I avoid passing stack variables around by address and expecting them to still be alive after the function they were initialised in has ended?

    Let's assume I have a class called MyClass with an attribute called MyAttribute and a method called MyMethod(). Inside that method I'd like to have a variable called MyVariable. I'd like to set the value of MyVariable to "MyVariable" and MyAttribute to "MyAttribute" inside the call to MyMethod(). How can I do this in a Collaboration Diagram?     When monitoring a remote app (using jstatd) I can neither profile nor monitor cpu consumption. Heap monitoring (provided I do not use G1) works. jvisualvm provides the message "Not supported for this JVM." in the CPU graph window. Is there anything missing in my setup? The google showed up next to no results.     The Compiler claims an error saying: "initializer element is not constant", when I try to initialize a static variable inside a method with a call to a static method (with + in its definition). Anyway I can tell him that this method always returns the same value. I know this is not the same as static method, but there seems to be no constant methods in Objective-C (other than macros which won't work here because I am calling UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() from inside the method).

I have telnet'ed into the daemon and am listening on the port, and can send the daemon commands via the CLI. I want to know if anyone is aware of a command I can use to dump the contents of the cache to the console. I know of commands like 'flush_all' and 'stats' but those are not quite sufficient for what I want to do.

  • What effects drawing charts/diagrams from $_SESSION data under php5, which worked under php4?

    Hello, I have a script generating 3 diagrams from $_SESSION variables which work fine under php4 with register_globals = off, but when I parse the same script as php5 I get no diagram. The diagrams a drawn from GD libary and it works, if I set the data into an Array (manually filled) within the script file. But I need a way to get it work on php5, without much changes. Are there any SESSION settings or php-settings which might interfere with my script. I already checked a lot of the php-settings (changing php.ini over and over again), but found nothing what brings me the diagrams back. Hopefully someone of you could kick me into the right direction. Any Ideas? Thanks a lot.

    I'm trying to load an external JavaScript using jQuery's getScript(), like this: $.getScript("http://api.recaptcha.net/js/recaptcha_ajax.js", function(data) { window.alert(data); }); but as the alert window shows, the data variable in the callback function is undefined, unlike promised in http://docs.jquery.com/Ajax/jQuery.getScript#urlcallback. What I need to do is calculate the date based on a variable date (and not the current date).
