Is there a useful command-line diff utility for VSS 2005?
I tried this but if wants to compare my current directory with, it seems, some randomly picked path from the project.
I am going to choose a JMS message broker for a project. It is critical that the JMS server is stable and can handle a high load of messages. I have narrowed down the list to include Active MQ and JBoss Messaging.
I was wondering if any of you have any experience with any of these or even better have tried both of them in the same environment. Any link to a research paper or similar would be nice.
I'm trying to run some tests in Ant presently using JUnit, and all of my tests are failing with the following stacktrace:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mypackage.MyTestCase
It doesn't make too much sense to me. I'm first compiling my test cases using <javac>, then directly running the <junit> task to run the tests. My buildfile looks like this:
<target name="compile.webapp.tests">
<javac srcdir="${test.java.src.dir}"
destdir="${test.java.bin.dir}">
<classpath>
<filelist>
<file name="${red5.home}/red5.jar"/>
<file name="${red5.home}/boot.jar"/>
<file name="${bin.dir}/${ant.project.name}.jar"/>
</filelist>
<fileset dir="${red5.lib.dir}" includes="**/*"/>
<fileset dir="${main.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*"/>
<fileset dir="${test.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*"/>
</classpath>
</javac>
</target>
<target name="run.webapp.tests">
<junit printsummary="true">
<classpath>
<filelist>
<file name="${red5.home}/red5.jar"/>
<file name="${red5.home}/boot.jar"/>
<file name="${bin.dir}/${ant.project.name}.jar"/>
</filelist>
<fileset dir="${red5.lib.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/>
<fileset dir="${main.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/>
<fileset dir="${test.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/>
</classpath>
<formatter type="xml"/>
<batchtest todir="${test.java.output.dir}">
<fileset dir="${test.java.bin.dir}" includes="**/*TestCase*"/>
</batchtest>
</junit>
</target>
This is really weird, I can't seem to fix this. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?
Hi all ,
I need your advice deciding on a new project architecture I'm going to implement.
Can I use MEF and Prism side by side?
Is it too complex to accomplish this?
Can make the same stuff Prism does with MEF?
Right now, two features Prism gives, but are not in MEF are Regions and the Event Aggregator. Can I do everything else with MEF, rather than Prism?
Thanks in advance ...
Itellisense is suddenly missing from Visual Studio 2008 IDE on a project I am working. This was working fine. I rebooted the machine several times but still not working. It's working in other projects. What else could be causing this?
Hi,
I was trying to find a bandwidth profiler in flex like there used to be one in Flash but couldn't really find one. Is there a way, that I can do bandwidth profiling of my local swf?
I'm using Flex Bulider with a AS3 project.
I have made a signed apk of an android project. Whenever my client try to run it on the emulator, he faces the following error message:
D:\Android\android-sdk-
windows\tools>adb install -r abc.apk
500 KB/s (6940708 bytes in 13.534s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/abc.apk
Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]
What is the resolution?
I am evaluating several technologies for an open source app for the google app engine. I'm searching for information regarding OSGI on googles app engine.
I have found Lemmon but it seems to be a dead project. The last checkin was in mid 2009... :-/
There is also a eclipse blog entry from april 2009, but it's not a real success story.
Has anyone successfully used OSGI in a GAE app?
hi, we are doing a project that involves semantic search in P2P networks. Basically we want to do a file searching/sharing mechanism that semantically relates files based on the data. we are using RDF to represent the files' metadata. We are stuck with the database part. every peer has a local repository that it uses to store metadata. how do we implement this store? please help..
I am working on a java Ant+Ivy based project that has the following directory structure:
projectRoot/src
projectRoot/classes
projectRoot/conf
projectRoot/webservices
this works perfectly well in Ant but I am looking to migrate to Gradle.
Is there a way to define a non-maven directory structure in gradle or should I be looking to mavenize?
I'd been trying to read about Open Source Software (OSS) but I'm still not clear about the scope of commercial use of OSS.
Where can I find more details about the commercial use of OSS?
Only then can I concentrate on "What License should I use for a new OSS project in .NET" for FOSS.
I'm experimenting with different workflows and backup schemes, and one thing I'm trying is using subversion for my web experiments.
I have an off-site subversion server, and assuming the project is 'public_html' (which in this case it is), I want to be able to go to the index.html page and for it to be rendered instead of just pumped out as a text file.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious; I am not a web developer
Today I researched about reportviewer to use it in my project. As I see the samples and tutorials in the web, We should create an dataset file to Solution Explorer and bind it to report viewer to show data.
However I want to create dataset programatically like sample code below. And I want to bind it.
Dim ds As New DataSet
DB_Gateway.myDataSet("select * from users", ds, "users")
How can I do it?
I know Objective-C is just a superset of C, and you can use plain C anywhere. But am I able to use .m and .c files (for when there is only pure C) in the same project? Or all the errors I'm getting because of something else…
Thanks.
I would like start with .NET Micro Framework as my hobby project.
What hardware devices would you recommend for that?
Is there something like list of all hardware with support .NET Micro Framework?
Hi,
I'm using Delphi 2010 to create a SOAP Server. The server is created as a ISAPI/NSAPI DLL. I then add an interface with some sample methods.
If I try and build this project I get this compiler error:
Building Project1.dproj (Debug configuration)
[DCC Fatal Error] Unit1.pas(6): F2063 Could not compile used unit 'msxml.pas'
Failed
Elapsed time: 00:00:01.5
Where should I start looking to resolve this issue?

I have an iPhone app that uses the json-framework. I moved some of the code, including the json-framework source, from the main project to a static library. When I did this, the json-framework stopped getting compiled into the binary (double checked with class dump). This causes a nasty error:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[NSCFString JSONValue]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x43897f0'
Everything else in the static library continues to function properly.
I am trying to use WCF Services as models for SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 reports. I can do this if I design the reports in the designer but cannot do it for a Reporting Model project which I think I need to make reports in the Report Builder.
My full requirement is to have a report builder that the users can use building reports based on DTOs supplied from my WCF service.
Thanks
I have hosted the code for one of my projects on code.google.com. While I am able to monitor incoming traffic to my project page using google analytics, I do not find a way to track how many checkouts of my code have happened. Is there any way to find details on checkouts that are happening?
I'm working on a project using Scala running Selenium tests as part of a continuous integration process. Hudson displays very helpful information based on the results in the surefire reports but I would much prefer using sbt to Maven. Is there an existing way to get sbt to generate surefire reports from sbt tests?
We are developing a project for a client that requires a rich text editor that supports both tables and "real" tabs for indentation. Of the editors we've looked at, both TinyMCE and FreeRichTextEditor are very close fits, but indenting with tab seems to only work in WebKit-based browsers.
Is there a (preferably free) cross-browser compatible rich text editor that supports both of these features, or a way of 'fixing' tab support in Trident and Mozilla-based browsers?
I have a simpleXml object and want to read the data from the object.I am new to php.The object details are as follows.I want to read name like general and name which is inside company array i.e Korey Kay & Partners.What is the syntax for it?
SimpleXMLElement Object ( [@attributes] = Array ( [type] = array ) [project] = Array ( [0] = SimpleXMLElement Object ( [created-on] = 2008-07-18 [id] = 2257372 [last-changed-on] = 2010-05-27T22:28:29Z [name] = *GENERAL [status] = active [company] = SimpleXMLElement Object ( [id] = 406952 [name] = Korey Kay & Partners ) )
Ok this may be a foolish question, but I just want some clarification on this.
If you build a website on a GPL licensed web framework, let's say a browser based game or some kind of kind of sophisticated web application are you required to redistribute all the code?
If this is so what licenses would allow you to build on top of an opensource project without requiring you to redistribute the code?
