• magento, making a grouped product show on sale based on product children prices

  Hi, Question regarding Magento and sale items. So I have to use grouped items to link multiple items which are the same style but different colors, these are the items I have showing on my search results/category pages. - I am trying to figure out how I can make the master sku, show as on sale, when the children items are marked on sale. I am able to make it show up on the product page, but anytime I have tried calling any of the getchildren methods outside of grouped.phtml, I have failed, horribly. I think I worked on that method for probably 36 hours unsuccessfully calling it from any other page. So, I thought I would ask here. Does anyone know how I could call the getchildskus or whatever it is method, from the category page, so that I can do something like, for each child product, compare sale price with active price, if there is a difference, calculate the percentage off, and display the largest difference as "ON SALE, UP TO 30% OFF!", or whatever it may be? Any help would be much appreciated. (oh, and I cant set a price on the main group sku, I sell sunglasses and watches mainly and many times a different color will differ in price quite significantly.)

  Is there any cross browser way to scroll the horizontal scroll bar of an IFrame with super wide content with Javascript inside the parent frame. Also I need it to be attached to the mouse wheel event.   Hi Everyone, I found the following code to check if a file exists on a server, but is not working for me. It tells me that "test1.tx" does not exist even though the file exists and its size is 498 bytes. If I try with Ftp.ListDirectory it tells me that the file does not exist. If I try with Ftp.GetFileSize it does not provide any results and the debugger's immediate gives me the following message: A first chance exception of type 'System.Net.WebException' occurred in System.dll. Using "request.UseBinary = true" does not make any difference.   I want to keep assets that are only used by one view in a view-specific folder, so my Search.aspx properly finds images/*.jpg, and helps me maintain my convention: ~/Areas/Candidate/Views/Job/Search.aspx -> ~/Assets/Candidate/Job/Search/images/*.jpg Perhaps with the ability to easily reference controller- or area-common assets manually or automatically: ~/Assets/Candidate/Job/images/*.jpg ~/Assets/Candidate/images/*.jpg If you wonder why I'm doing this, then speak up; I'm probably missing something. But here's why: I don't want stale static assets sitting in my ASP.NET MVC projects, which I expect to be an automatic outcome of the ~/Assets/Images folder: i.e. As a shared asset loses its last reference-count, who knows to delete it, especially with it being so difficult to trace content link validity in MVC projects? How do you, personally, do this? I can imagine, for example: Implement HtmlHelper extension methods for URL-generation. Extending ViewPage and ViewMasterPage with URL-generation methods. Implementing an inbound request filter to search related folders for static assets. and, are there good libraries out there for this? For example, something that also automatically appends timestamps for .JS and .CSS files, writes the / tags for me, and maybe even that allows me to inject includes in the head section from outside head code?

• SQL group results as a column array

  Hi guys, this is an SQL question and don't know which type of JOIN, GROUP BY etc. to use, it is for a chat program where messages are related to rooms and each day in a room is linked to a transcript etc. Basically, when outputting my transcripts, I need to show which users have chatted on that transcript. At the moment I link them through the messages like so: SELECT rooms.id, rooms.name, niceDate, room_transcripts.date, long FROM room_transcripts JOIN rooms ON room_transcripts.room=rooms.id JOIN transcript_users ON transcript_users.room=rooms.id AND transcript_users.date=room_transcripts.date JOIN users ON transcript_users.user=users.id WHERE room_transcripts.deleted=0 AND rooms.id IN (1,2) ORDER BY room_transcripts.id DESC, long ASC The result set looks like this: Array ( [0] => Array ( [id] => 2 [name] => Room 2 [niceDate] => Wednesday, April 14 [date] => 2010-04-14 [long] => Jerry Seinfeld ) [1] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] => Room 1 [niceDate] => Wednesday, April 14 [date] => 2010-04-14 [long] => Jerry Seinfeld ) [2] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] => Room 1 [niceDate] => Wednesday, April 14 [date] => 2010-04-14 [long] => Test Users ) ) I would like though for each element in the array to represent one transcript entry and for the users to be grouped in an array as the entry's element.   Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me as I've been stuck on this problem for a few days now. Basically I'm trying to pull data from 3 tables in Oracle: 1) Orders Table 2) Vendor Table and 3) Master Data Table. Here's what the 3 tables look like: Table 1: BIZ_DOC2 (Orders table) OBJECTID (Unique key) UNIQUE_DOC_NAME (Document Name i.e. ORD-005) CREATED_AT (Date the order was created) Table 2: UDEF_VENDOR (Vendors Table): PARENT_OBJECT_ID (This matches up to the ObjectId in the Orders table) VENDOR_OBJECT_NAME (This is the name of the vendor i.e. Acme) Table 3: BIZ_UNIT (Master Data table) PARENT_OBJECT_ID (This matches up to the ObjectID in the Orders table) BIZ_UNIT_OBJECT_NAME (This is the name of the business unit i.e. widget A, widget B) Note: The Vendors Table and Master Data do not have a link between them except through the Orders table. I can join all of the data from the tables and it looks something like this: Before selecting latest order date: ORD-005 | Widget A | Acme | 3/14/10 ORD-005 | Widget B | Acme | 3/14/10 ORD-004 | Widget C | Acme | 3/10/10 Ideally I'd like to return the latest order for each vendor. However, each order may contain multiple business units (e.g. types of widgets) so if a Vendor's latest record is ORD-005 and the order contains 2 business units, here's what the result set should look like by the following columns: UNIQUE_DOC_NAME, BIZ_UNIT_OBJECT_NAME, VENDOR_OBJECT_NAME, CREATED_AT After selecting by latest order date: ORD-005 | Widget A | Acme | 3/14/10 ORD-005 | Widget B | Acme | 3/14/10 I tried using Select Max and several variations of sub-queries but I just can't seem to get it working. • Preserving SCRIPT tags (and more) in CKEditor

  Update: I'm thinking the solution to this problem is in CKEDITOR.config.protectedSource(), but my regular-expression experience is proving to be too juvenile to handle this issue. How would I go about exempting all tags that contain the 'preserved' class from being touched by CKEditor? Is it possible to create a block of code within the CKEditor that will not be touched by the editor itself, and will be maintained in its intended-state until explicitly changed by the user? I've been attempting to input javascript variables (bound in script tags) and a flash movie following, but CKEditor continues to rewrite my pasted code/markup, and in doing so breaking my code. • Setting Up OpenCV and .lib files

  I have been trying to set up OpenCV for the past few days with no results. I am using Windows 7 and VS C++ 2008 express edition. I have downloaded and installed OpenCV 2.1 and some of the examples work. I downloaded CMake and ran it to generate the VS project files and built all of them but there with several errors, and couldn't get any farther than that. When I ran CMake I configured it to use the VS 9 compiler, and then it brought up a list of items in red such as BUILD_EXAMPLES, BUILD_LATEX_DOCS, ect. All of them were unchecked except BUILD_NEW_PYTHON_SUPPORT, BUILD_TESTS, ENABLE_OPENMP, and OPENCV_BUILD_3RDPARTY_LIBS. I configured and generate without changing anything and then it generated the VS files such as ALL_BUILD.vcproj. I built the OpenCV VS solution in debug mode and it had 15 failures (maybe this is part of the problem or is it because I don't have python and stuff like that?) Now there was a lib folder created after building but inside there was just this VC++ Minimum Rebuild Dependency file and Program Debug Database file, both called cvhaartraining. I believe it should have created the .lib files I need instead of this. Also, the bin folder now has a folder called Debug with the same types of files with names like cv200d and cvaux200d. Believe I need those .lib files to move forward. I would also greatly appreciate if someone could direct me to a reliable tutorial to set up VS for OpenCV because I have been reading a lot of tutorials and they all say different things such as some say to configure Window's environment variables and other say files are located in folders such as OpenCV/cv which I don't have. I have gotten past the point of clear headed thinking so if anyone could offer some direction or a simple list of the files I need to link then I would be thankful. Also a side question: why when linking the OpenCV libs do you have to put them in quotes?

  I have problem understanding the concept of Hazelcast Distributed Execution. It is said to be able to perform the execution on the owner instance of a specific key. Parameters: task - task key - key Returns: a Future representing pending completion of the task I believe that I'm not alone to have a cluster built with multiple maps which might actually use the same key for different purposes, holding different objects (e.g. something along the following setup): IMap<String, ObjectTypeA> firstMap = HazelcastInstance.getMap("firstMap"); IMap<String, ObjectTypeA_AppendixClass> secondMap = HazelcastInstance.getMap("secondMap"); To me it seems quite confusing what documentation says about the owner of a key. My real frustration is that I don't know WHICH - in which map - key does it refer to?   First time poster here , so I'm sorry if this question is asked incorrect or if there are any issues. I'm working on a phonegap app for which I need to be able to set up a bluetooth connection between a tablet (android in this case) and a Win CE PC. Currently i'm trying to get the bluetooth part to work on the tablet and i'm using the plug in you can find at https://github.com/tanelih/phonegap-bluetooth-plugin And for the momemt I'm just trying to enable and disable the Bluetooth on the device. In my bluetoothpage.js file i'm using the following method window.bluetooth.prototype.enable(bluetoothTestSucces(),bluetoothTestFail()); The bluetoothTestSucces and bluetoothTestFail functions just show an alert, nothing else. And if i understand the working of phonegap plugins correctly this uses the following code in my bluetooth.js file Bluetooth.prototype.enable = function(onSuccess, onError) { exec(onSuccess, onError, "Bluetooth", "enable", []); } which calls private void enable(JSONArray args, CallbackContext callbackCtx) { try { _bluetooth.enable(); callbackCtx.success(); } catch(Exception e) { this.error(callbackCtx, e.getMessage(), BluetoothError.ERR_UNKNOWN); } } in my BluetoothPlugin.java file. And if the java file returns Succes bluetoothTestSucces() is used and if the java file returns an error bluetoothTestFail() is used. But for some reason it runs both and does not turn on bluetooth on my device. I'm almost certain I've forgotten a link to a file or have linked it wrong somewhere. But I've followed the instructions that were included in the plugin. • How do display a UserControl with satisfying all imports

  Dear SO, I'm having some issues with Silverlight 4/ MEF. I have a basic framework setup with a Silverlight Navigation app at the core. Image link to the diagram for clarification The main app (Desu) contains some pages and controls that export en import nicely. I dynamicly load controls from Desu.Controls(like an imageviewer which i identify with the IImageViewer interface) and some pages from Desu.Pages. The first problem I had was with dynamicly loading pages and being able to navigate to these pages (eg. use dummyhttp://blagh/desutestpage.aspx#/Activation when Desu.Pages was loaded from the xap). I solved this by using a custom MetaAttribute and a custom contentloader. Now for the question part: I want to load the ImageViewerControl from Desu.Controls in HomePage in Desu. I haven't loaded the Desu.Controls into the package though. When i try to load the control it gives me CompositionException because it can't satisfy the ImageViewControl import. I tried setting AllowRecomposition=true but that didn't help. So is it possible to load a control without satisfying all imports and, if yes, how does one do this?

  I'm making a tool for my university that allows students to create a list of classes by doing the following: Searching by course title for their course via an autocomplete input field. Adding that course to a separate form that upon being submitted creates a course list. I am trying to link the autocomplete and the course list form with an 'add to course list' button that inserts a hidden input field into the course list form which can subsequently be submitted by a 'create course list' button. My question is this: How do I take the value of the autocomplete input and insert it into the course list form without using AJAX? • Password Cracking in 2010 and Beyond

  I have looked a bit into cryptography and related matters during the last couple of days and am pretty confused by now. I have a question about password strength and am hoping that someone can clear up my confusion by sharing how they think through the following questions. I am becoming obsessed about these things, but need to spend my time otherwise :-) Let's assume we have an eight-digit password that consists of upper and lower-case alphabetic characters, numbers and common symbols. This means we have 8^96 ~= 7.2 quadrillion different possible passwords. As I understand there are at least two approaches to breaking this password. One is to try a brute-force attack where we try to guess each possible combination of characters. How many passwords can modern processors (in 2010, Core i7 Extreme for eg) guess per second (how many instructions does a single password guess take and why)? My guess would be that it takes a modern processor in the order of years to break such a password. Another approach would consist of obtaining a hash of my password as stored by operating systems and then search for collisions. Depending on the type of hash used, we might get the password a lot quicker than by the bruteforce attack. A number of questions about this: Is the assertion in the above sentence correct? How do I think about the time it takes to find collisions for MD4, MD5, etc. hashes? Where does my Snow Leopard store my password hash and what hashing algorithm does it use? And finally, regardless of the strength of file encryption using AES-128/256, the weak link is still my en/decryption password used. Even if breaking the ciphered text would take longer than the lifetime of the universe, a brute-force attack on my de/encryption password (guess password, then try to decrypt file, try next password...), might succeed a lot earlier than the end of the universe. Is that correct? I would be very grateful, if people could have mercy on me and help me think through these probably simple questions, so that I can get back to work.

  Assume two peers Alice and Bob connected over a IP network. Alice and Bob are exchanging packets of lossy compressed data which are generated and to be consumes in real time (think a VoIP or video chat application). The service is designed to cope with as little bandwidth available, but relies on low latencies. Alice and Bob would mark their connection with an apropriate QoS profile. Alice and Bob want use a variable bitrate compression and would like to consume all of the leftover bandwidth available for the connection between them, but would voluntarily reduce the consumed bitrate depending on the state of the network. However they'd like to retain a stable link, i.e. avoid interruptions in their decoded data stream caused by congestion and the delay until the bandwidth got adjusted. However it is perfectly possible for them to loose a few packets. TL;DR: Alice and Bob want to implement a VoIP protocol from scratch, and are curious about bandwidth and congestion control. What papers and resources do you suggest for Alice and Bob to read? Mainly in the area of bandwidth estimation and congestion control.

  Im having some trouble with joining two tables. This is what my two tables look like: Table 1 Customer_ID CustomerName Add. 1000 John Smith 1001 Mike Coles 1002 Sam Carter Table 2 Sensor_ID Location Temp CustIDFK 1000 NY 70 1002 NY 70 1000 ... ... 1001 1001 1002 Desired: Sensor_ID Location Temp CustIDFK 1000 NY 70 John Smith 1002 NY 70 Sam Carter 1000 ... ... John Smith 1001 Mike Coles 1001 1002 I have made Customer_ID from table 1 my primary key, created custIDFK in table 2 and set that as my foreign key. I am really new to sql server so I am still having trouble with the whole relationship piece of it. My goal is to match one customer_ID with one Sensor_ID. The problem is that the table 2 does not have "unique IDs" since they repeat so I cant set that to my foreign key. I know I will have to do either an inner join or outer join, I just dont know how to link the sensor id with customer one. I was thinking of giving my sensor_ID a unique ID but the data that is being inserted into table 2 is coming from another program. Any suggestions?

When any popup is open on the screen, we can still clicks links on webpage behind popup which causes some unexpected behaviour. How can I disable a webpage behind popup. I have seen some web application in which when popup appears then webpage behind popup become shady. I have read some tutorial about this. In each tutorial a link is used to open a dialog and an special attribute is added in for modal. But I have a different case I have to open dialog on some condition in action. • Retrieve a list of the most popular GET param variations for a given URL?

  I'm working on building intelligence around link propagation, and because I need to deal with many short URL services where a reverse-lookup from an exact URL address is required, I need to be able to resolve multiple approximate versions of the same URL. An example would be a URL like http://www.example.com?ref=affil&hl=en&ct=0 Of course, changing GET params in certain circumstances can refer to a completely different page, especially if the GET params in question refer to a profile or content ID. But a quick parse of the page would quickly determine how similar the pages were to each other. Using a bit of machine learning, it could quickly become clear which GET params don't effect the content of the pages returned for a given site. I'm assuming a service to send a URL and get a list of very similar URLs could only be offered by the likes of Google or Yahoo (or Twitter), but they don't seem to offer this feature, and I haven't found any other services that do. If you know of any services that do cluster together groups of almost identical URLs in the aforementioned way, please let me know. My bounty is a hug.

  Hi everyone, I have a Windows executable (native, not .Net) project that I'm trying to pass along to a new team member. It's a graphics modeling tool that uses the Qt widget library and OpenGL.
