  • How do I strip local symbols from linux kernel module without breaking it?

    If I do --strip-debug or --strip-unneeded, I have the .ko that lists all function names with nm, if I do just strip foo.ko I have a kernel module that refuses to load. Does anyone know a quick shortcut how to remove all symbols that are not needed for module loading so that people cannot reverse engineer the API:s as easily? PS: For all you open source bigots; this is something that general public will never be using in any case so no need to turn the question into a GPL flame war.

  • Redirecting one file to another using dub2 and strtok

    OK, here goes. I have to write a program, in which I need to use strtok and dup2 to redirect one file to another, but I need to also have the user to actually put the command cat < file1 file2, but not from the shell, but instead by using my program. That's why I need strtok. And the reason my program doesn't work is probably because of that, because I don't really understand how strtok works. I found a similar program on the internet, but they just take the ls command and redirect it to the file. That's it. My program is much more complicated. I mean, it would've been easier just to say in shell cat < file1 file2, but for some reason they want us to do it this way. So, anyways, here is what I have so far (here I just combined what I have found on the internet with what I already had from before. We had to do something similar but then the user would just go ls or ls -l. Very simple stuff.   • Is there some API on BlackBerry for "smooth" image resizing?

    To get image thumbnails on BlackBerry I use EncodedImage.scaleImage32(). It works Ok, but when I open native image viewer (from the Camera app) I see the difference in quality - native viewer thumbnails look nice (smooth, anti-aliased), while mine are a bit ugly. Looks like native viewer resizes images using some filter (bicubic or smth like that). How can I do the same? Is there some API for "smooth" resizing?

    I like the visual behavior of the DOJO TitlePane widget, but it has too much other bunk for my purpose. http://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/dijit/TitlePane.html#dijit-titlepane Is anyone aware of a jQuery widget that provides the same ability to expose and hide content in a stacked manner with the little flippy-arrow, pane highlighting on mouse over, etc?   • SQLite/iPhone read copyright symbol

    Hi All, I am having problems reading the copyright symbol from a sqlite db that I have for my App that I am developing. I import the information manually, ie, from an excel sheet. I have tried two ways of doing it and failed with both: 1) Tried replacing the copyright symbol with "\u00ae" (unicode combination) within excel and then importing the modified file. - Result: I get the combination of \u00ae as a part of the string, it doesnt detect the unicode combination. 2) Tried leaving as it is.     I run my development environment in a VM and need to test the delivery and appearance of emails from my applications. The problem is when my SMTP server starts delivering a lot of mail to my corporate email account, the server is soon rejected as a source of spam. Of course, the major Internet email providers will also never accept email from such a server. I've delivered to a specified pickup directory and open in outlook express, but the problem is images always display as broken images.

    I open forms inside tabs of a page control. These forms may contain actions with shortcuts. And I want these shortcuts to be fired only when the tab that contain this form is active. I tried to override form's IsShortCut but it's not called. Form's OnShortCut is not called either. I would like to avoid putting code on each action to check this. I'm using Delphi 2010.

  • NUNIT + VS2010 = Unable to copy file from /obj to /bin...being used by another process

    I am trying to run some unit tests using NUnit while I have the project open, and VS 2010 cannot rebuild the project while the assembly is loaded in NUnit. I have looked around and haven't found any solutions that seen to fix it. I can close NUnit, then the project builds fine. This is a the same solution based on Rob Conery's BDD demo found here: http://tekpub.com/view/concepts/5 Any thoughts?
