    I have a winform in witch I have a custom LongPanel with textboxes. In order to validate an eventually edited textbox when the user click somewhere out of textBoxY I use the following code: Private Sub LongPanel_MouseClick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As MouseEventArgs) _ Handles MyBase.MouseClick _AttachedPanel.Select() End Sub In runtime application freezes at the "Select" line... I receive infinite panel Leave events... any idea why?

    What is the idea behind Grasp's Controller pattern? My current interpretation is that sometimes you want to achieve something that needs to use a couple of classes but none of those classes could or has access to the information needed to do it, so you create a new class that does the job, having references to all the needed classes(this is, could be the information expert). Is this a correct view of what Grasp's Controller is about? Generally when googling or SO'ing controller, I just get results about MVC's (and whatnot) which are topics that I don't understand about, so I'd like answers that don't assume I know ASP.NET's MVC or something :( Thanks

  • Silverlight MVVM add record from user control

    I have a User Control for searching container numbers. If the user enters a container number that's new to the system then I want to tell the VM "I have a new record to add". The MVVM method avoids using Events to communicate with the VM as they create code-behind. Should I create a Dependency Property to trigger the VM but I don't think I've seen other controls with a "NewRecord" property? Any thoughts?

I'm trying to hook submit event like: $('form',someObj).submit(function(e){ /* Do some stuff with ajax */ return false; }); But always receive events only from a first (by code) form.     I am writing a networking application using the java.nio api. My plan is to perform I/O on one thread, and handle events on another. To do this though, I need to synchronize reading/writing so that a race condition is never met. Bearing in mind that I need to handle thousands of connections concurrently, is synchronization worth it, or should I use a single thread for I/O and event handling?

  • User control disapear when added to a Panel

    I've got a user control class that works fine, drawing, events firing and the works. When i programmaticly add it to a class that extends from Panel it disapears. I've checked around and the line that makes it disapear is the line where i go panel.Controls.Add(myuserControl). Without that line the control works just fine, does anybody know why it won't show after the add? I'm currently doing the painting of the user control by overriding OnPaint, but the panel is using the default painting.

    i've been looking the whole day how to setcookies in wordpress. in my way i found out (using the developer toolbar) that the cookie is set but still not working. i have 2 files the first contains the login form redirecting to another page to set the cookie and return to another page to check if it's working. domain which is tested on is like this : blog.mydomain.com. here's the setcookie file : <?php setcookie("user_name","test",time()+3600); ?> and chcking the cookie like this : if(isset($_COOKIE["user_name"])){ echo "cookie exists"; } else{ echo "cookie doesn't exist"; } i've read many topics about this issue but there was no clear answer.
