  • stored procedure to find value in 2 columns out of 3

    I am putting in the samle date and i am supposed to do something similar what i am asking. I want to run a query that would pull values in any two columns out 3 if it has a 1 or if any one column has a 1 it will return just those results. However it should search all three columns and in any of the three columns where it found value as 1 it should return that result. Can anyone please help me with this. Thanks in advance.     If we start with the following simple SQL statement which works. SELECT sor.FPARTNO, sum(sor.FUNETPRICE) FROM sorels sor GROUP BY sor.FPARTNO FPartNo is the part number and the Funetprice is obviously the net price. The user also wants the description and this causes a problem. If I follow up with this: SELECT sor.FPARTNO, sor.fdesc, sum(sor.FUNETPRICE) FROM sorels sor GROUP BY sor.FPARTNO, sor.fdesc If there are multiple variations of the description for that part number, typically very small variations in the text, then I don't actually aggregate on the part number. Make sense? I'm sure this must be simple. How can I return the first fdesc that corresponds to the part number? Any of the description variations would suffice as they are almost entirely identical. Edit: The description is a text field.

  • Save jQuery callback functions in a separate file

    Probably I missed something, but lets say I have this: $('a.delete').click(function(){ resp=window.confirm("Are you sure you want to delete this?"); if(resp) return true; else return false; } Now, I want to save that callback function into a separate js file, because I will use it in several pages. My logic told me to do this: $('a.del').click(delete_element()); Having my js file like this: function delete_element(){ resp=window.confirm("Are you sure you want to delete this?"); if(resp) return true; else return false; } This doesn't work. Everytime my page loads, it displays the confirm window, even if I haven't clicked the link. It is clear that my logic failed this time. What am I missing?

Besides it's inconvenient, if i get all this multi-results (which i really don't need at all), about 5 (limit's param) for each of the hundreds of thousands of records in Soul, i'm afraid it will take all my memory (and all in vain). Also, i noticed, if i do prepare from an empty string, it still has multi-results... At least how to get rid of them in the execute statement? And i would like to have a recipe to avoid ANY output from SP, for any possible statement (i also have a lot of "update ..."s and "select ... into "s inside, if they can produce multi's).   • OpenGL ES functions not accepting values originating outside of it's view

    I've been unable to figure this out on my own. I currently have an Open GLES setup where a view controller both updates a game world (with a dt), fetches the data I need to render, passes it off to an EAGLView through two structures (built of Apple's ES1Renderer), and draws the scene. Whenever a value originates outside of the Open GL view, it can't be used to either translate objects using glTranslatef, or set up the scene using glOrthof. If I assign a new value to something, it will work - even if it is the exact same number. The two structures I have each contain a variety of floating-point numbers and booleans, along with two arrays. I can log the values from within my renderer - they make it there - but I receive errors from OpenGL if I try to do anything with them. No crashes result, but the glOrthof call doesn't work if I don't set the camera values to anything different. Code used to set up scene: [EAGLContext setCurrentContext:context]; glBindFramebufferOES(GL_FRAMEBUFFER_OES, viewFramebuffer); //clears the color buffer bit glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION); //sets up the scene w/ ortho projection glViewport(0, 0, 320, 480); glLoadIdentity(); glOrthof(320, 0, dynamicData.cam_x2, dynamicData.cam_x1, 1.0, -1.0); glClearColor(1.0, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0); /*error checking code here*/ "dynamicData" (which is replaced every frame) is created within my game simulation. From within my controller, I call a method (w/in my simulation) that returns it, and pass the result on to the EAGLView, which passes it on to the renderer. I haven't been able to come up with a better solution for this - suggestions in this regard would be greatly appreciated as well. Second thing - I have class which is "heart" of my site: class Core { static private $instance; public $db; public function __construct() { if(!self::$instance) { $this->db = DB::instance(DB_TYPE.':hpost='.DB_HOST.';dbname='.DB_NAME, DB_USER, DB_PASS); } return self::$instance; } private function __clone() { } } I've tried to use "new DB" inside class, but this: $r = $core->db->query("SELECT * FROM me_config"); print_r($r->fetch()); Return nothing. $sql = "SELECT * FROM me_config"; print_r($core->db->query($sql)); I get: PDOStatement Object ( [queryString] => SELECT * FROM me_config ) I'm really confused, what am I doing wrong?
