Do .Net int and long types have different size on 32 bit and 64 bit platform ?
Does int (=Int32 on 32 bit machine) on 64 bit machine will be still Int32 not Int64 ?
Can you quote any official .Net documentation ?
Hi folks,
in my C# 4.0 Application, I have a DataGridView to display some data. I want the Columns size accordingly to the content, so I set the AutoSizeColumnsMode to AllCellsExceptHeader. But I want to restrict the columns to grow beyond a certain value. There is a MinimumWidth Property ... but unfortunately no MaximumWidth Property.
Any ideas how to solve this?
Thanks in advance,
Frank
Hi, I have a PHP form (mortgage app) that is about 400 fields, traffic on the site will be low.
What is the ideal Session size for 400 fields going into a MySQL db?
In PHP.ini what do I set?
Anything I should set that I am missing?

I used myPanel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(myPanel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); to order panels vertically (one under another one). But myPanel defined in the shown way change the included panel. In more details, it tries to set the same hight and width for the included panels. Can it be changed? Can BoxLayout adopt size of the included elements?
If I want to use extendible hashing to store a maximum of 100 records, then what is the minimum array size that I need?
I am guessing that an array of 100 would be sufficient, but I could be wrong. I also suspect that I can use a smaller array.
I got a class. Lets say its named
Class1
Here I create another class, Class2
Class2 has an arrya[]
No my question is. When I create Class2 I cant have any size of the array with me in. How can I then know how big I want the array to be???
Out in Class1 I know how big it is.
Thanks in Advance.
Is there any limit for XML size for which XSLT is applied by XslCompiledTransform in .NET (3.5)? Also, is there any limitation for a length of parameteres passed to XSLT?
Given a character array:
In [21]: x = np.array(['a ','bb ','cccc '])
One can remove the whitespace using:
In [22]: np.char.strip(x)
Out[22]:
array(['a', 'bb', 'cccc'],
dtype='|S8')
but is there a way to also shrink the width of the column to the minimum required size, in the above case |S4?
In the stdint.h (C99), boost/cstdint.hpp, and cstdint (C++0x) headers there is, among others, the type int32_t.
Are there similar fixed-size floating point types? Something like float32_t?
Hi,
How to create a small eps file from a Matlab figure. I use LaTeX and the eps that I'm getting with Matlab (R2010a) is of the order 6 MB. How to set the plot options to give an eps figure of smaller size.
Does the render options painters or zbuffer help?
Thanks a lot...
Hey all!
I have a developer designing a financial application to be used on a mobile phone via the phones browser. Now each page is 150kb wich to my opinion is way to large. No images are used as it is mostlyhtml buttons and css and possibly javscript.
How can i minimise the page size?

How can I get window's title, position and size if it does not support Accessibility API? Accessibility Inspector does not see it at all. Say, it's a xterm window in X11.app (X11-Applications-Terminal).
I'm running a process that does a lot of updates ( 100,000) to a table. I have the choice between putting all the updates in a single transaction or committing transactions every 1000 or so.
Ignore for the moment the case where a transaction fails and is aborted. I'm interested in the best size of transaction for memory and speed efficiency.
I will be using the table storage to store a lot of blob names, in a single string, appended to each other using some special character. This string will sky rockets pretty soon. But is there a maximum size to the length of a property for a particular entity ? in my case the string ?
In a header file, I have forward declared two members of a namespace:
namespace Foo {
struct Odp
typedef std::vector<Odp> ODPVEC;
};
class Bar
{
public:
Foo::ODPVEC baz; // C2036
};
The error generated by the compiler is:
error C2036: 'Foo::Odp *': unknown size
I'm guessing this is an issue with forward declaring Odp. How can I get around this?
I am using following code to resize the image.
Resize a UIImage Right Way
And I use interpolation quality as kCGInterpolationLow.
And then I use UIImageJPEGRepresentation(image,0.0) to get the NSData of that image.
Still its a little bit high in size around 100kb. when I send it over the network. Can I reduce it further. If I am to reduce it more what could I do ?
Thanks and Kind Regards,
I have a custom control that I've placed inside a cell of a grid. I have some internal calculations I need to run based on the height and width of the custom control. However, I want it to resize based on the size of the cell.
So, my main question is... how to I programatically determine the height and width of a given cell?
We are looking at sticking some metadata into the X-Headers of email messages. These emails are for consumption by internal systems, and will be hosted on an Exchange server.
Is there a maximum size for the ammount of data that we can store in an X-Header?
Are there any limitations, such as special characters, that I should know about?
Hi,
I am using jQuery fullcalendar in my application. I want to display the calendar only on the right side of my screen but not sure how to reduce the size of the calendar. Right now it is displaying in the full screen
I am working with Three20's PhotoTest2Controller (TTThumbsViewController). When I click a thumbnail and open the image (TTPhotoView?), how can I increase the size of the caption area? I need to be able to display more than 6 lines.
The following is entirely a math question.
As we know, PerspectiveProjection delivers perspective transformations in 3D represented by the interdependent values of fieldOfView and focalLength according to the following formula:
focalLength = stageWidth/2 * (cos(fieldOfView/2) / sin(fieldOfView/2)
Bjørn Gunnar Staal has prepared a good image to illustrate the situation.
Q: How to get the visible on-screen size of the DisplayObject (Cube on the above-linked image) to which PerspectiveProjection has been applied?
