  • NSObjectController confusion binding to a class property. Help!

    - by scottw
Hi, I'm teaching myself cocoa and enjoying the experience most of the time. I have been struggling all day with a simple problem that google has let me down on. I have read the Cocoa Bindings Program Topics and think I grok it but still can't solve my issue. I have a very simple class called MTSong that has various properties. I have used @synthesize to create getter/setters and can use KVC to change properties. i.e in my app controller the following works: mySong = [[MTSong alloc]init]; [mySong setValue:@"2" forKey:@"version"]; In case I am doing something noddy in my class code MTSong.h is: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> @interface MTSong : NSObject { NSNumber *version; NSString *name; } @property(readwrite, assign) NSNumber *version; @property(readwrite, assign) NSString *name; @end and MTSong.m is: #import "MTSong.h" @implementation MTSong - (id)init { [super init]; return self; } - (void)dealloc { [super dealloc]; } @synthesize version; @synthesize name; @end In Interface Builder I have a label (NSTextField) that I want to update whenever I use KVC to change the version of the song. I do the following: Drag NSObjectController object into the doc window and in the Inspector-Attributes I set: Mode: Class Class Name: MTSong Add a key called version and another called name Go to Inspector-Bindings-Controller Content Bind To: File's Owner (Not sure this is right...) Model Key Path: version Select the cell of the label and go to Inspector Bind to: Object Controller Controller Key: mySong Model Key Path: version I have attempted changing the Model Key Path in step 2 to "mySong" which makes more sense but the compiler complains. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Scott Update Post Comments I wasn't exposing mySong property so have changed my AppController.h to be: #import <Cocoa/Cocoa.h> @class MTSong; @interface AppController : NSObject { IBOutlet NSButton *start; IBOutlet NSTextField *tf; MTSong *mySong; } -(IBAction)convertFile:(id)sender; @end I suspect File's owner was wrong as I am not using a document based application and I need to bind to the AppController, so step 2 is now: Go to Inspector-Bindings-Controller Content Bind To: App Controller Model Key Path: mySong I needed to change 3. to Select the cell of the label and go to Inspector Bind to: Object Controller Controller Key: selection Model Key Path: version All compiles and is playing nice!

Hi folks, I've built a content aggregator and would like to add a tag cloud representing the current trends. Unfortunately this is quite complex, as I have to look for keywords that represent the context of each article. For example words such as I, was, the, amazing, nice have no relation to context. Help would be much appreciated! :)

  • Xcode - some variables don't show

    - by Mike
This picture shows a debugging session. "lista" is a NSMutableArray containing, in this case, two elements: 0 and 1. Each element's content is seen on the debugging window as {(unichar *)Xcode_CFStringSummary($VAR, $ID)}:s but if I double click on any element, its value shows on a pop up window. Why is the values don't showing directly? How to force Xcode to show the values instead of this stupid and useless "{(unichar *)Xcode_CFStringSummary($VAR, $ID)}:s" ? thanks for any help.

  • OpenCV 2.4.2 on Matlab 2012b (Windows 7)

    - by Maik Xhani
Hello i am trying to use OpenCV 2.4.2 in Matlab 2012b. I have tried those actions: downloaded OpenCV 2.4.2 used CMake on opencv folder using Visual Studio 10 and Visual Studio 10 Win64 compiler built Debug and Release version with Visual Studio first without any other option and then with D_SCL_SECURE=1 specified for every project changed Matlab's mexopts.bat and adding new lines refering to library and include (see bottom for mexopts.bat content) with Visual Studio 10 compiler tried to compile a simple file with a OpenCV library inclusion and all goes well. try to compile something that actually uses OpenCV commands and get errors. I used openmexopencv library and when tried to compile something i get this error cv.make mex -largeArrayDims -D_SECURE_SCL=1 -Iinclude -I"C:\OpenCV\build\include" -L"C:\OpenCV\build\x64\vc10\lib" -lopencv_calib3d242 -lopencv_contrib242 -lopencv_core242 -lopencv_features2d242 -lopencv_flann242 -lopencv_gpu242 -lopencv_haartraining_engine -lopencv_highgui242 -lopencv_imgproc242 -lopencv_legacy242 -lopencv_ml242 -lopencv_nonfree242 -lopencv_objdetect242 -lopencv_photo242 -lopencv_stitching242 -lopencv_ts242 -lopencv_video242 -lopencv_videostab242 src+cv\CamShift.cpp lib\MxArray.obj -output +cv\CamShift CamShift.cpp C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2012b\extern\include\tmwtypes.h(821) : warning C4091: 'typedef ': ignorato a sinistra di 'wchar_t' quando non si dichiara alcuna variabile c:\program files\matlab\r2012b\extern\include\matrix.h(319) : error C4430: identificatore di tipo mancante, verr… utilizzato int. • jQuery as a replacement for Django or Web2Py

    - by ganjod
Hi all, I was planning to write a new webapp, I figured out two options for my backend - web2py or django. I recently came across jQuery and found it to be very cool. Could I just use jQuery as a replacement for django and web2py and finish this webapp. Some features that I'm going to implement - user profiles, users can add content to the website, etc. Is it possible to do solely in jQuery ?

  • Brief white screen when loading PHP page?

    - by orbit82
What would cause a brief flash of white screen while a PHP page is loading? I just noticed it today on a WordPress theme that I am building and am wondering if this is a cause for concern. As a page loads, the screen will flash white before showing the page content. Sometimes this happens on every single page load, other times it only happens intermittently.

  • Can a Winforms/WPF app act as HTTP server?

    - by user46703
Hi, I have a desktop written with Winforms. Now I have requests that people want to access the data from other machines. First I thought about a regular Client/Server app but now I think best would be if the app could act as HTTP server and send HTML to connected browsers. Does anybody know if there is a library available to add HTTP server functionality to an app? Ideally it would be able to serve ASP.NET content.

  • How does SimpleWorkerRequest associate MIME types with extensions?

    - by Justin Dearing
I was serving html referencing svg files in Cassini, and having problems since the mime type was not being sent properly. I ended up writing my own port of Cassini that set the extension based on mime type. After a good night of sleep I realized that there might be some sort of registry key or config file where I can configure custom mime types for SimpleWorkerRequest, the .NET class that serves content through Casinni. However, I don't know what that is.

  • WPF: How to specify units in Dialog Units?

    - by Ian Boyd
i'm trying to figure out how to layout a simple dialog in WPF using the proper dialog units (DLUs). i spent about two hours dimensioning this sample dialog box from Windows Vista with the various dlu measurements. Can someone please give the corresponding XAML markup that generates this dialog box? (Image Link) Now admittedly i know almost nothing about WPF XAML. Every time i start, i get stymied because i cannot figure out how to place any control. It seems that everything in WPF must be contained on a panel of some kind. There's StackPanels, FlowPanels, DockPanel, Grid, etc. If you don't have one of these then it won't compile. The only XAML i've been able to come up with (uing XAMLPad) so far: <DockPanel xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"> <Image Width="23" /> <Label>Are you sure you want to move this file to the Recycle Bin?</Label> <Image Width="60" /> <Label>117__6.jpg</Label> <Label>Type: ACDSee JPG Image</Label> <Label>Rating: Unrated</Label> <Label>Dimensions: 1072 × 712</Label> <Button Content="Yes" Width="50" Height="14"/> <Button Content="Cancel" Width="50" Height="14"/> </DockPanel> Which renders as a gaudy monstrosity. None of the controls are placed or sized right. i cannot figure out how to position controls in a window, nor size them properly. Can someone turn that screenshot into XAML? Note: You're not allowed to measure the screenshot. All the Dialog Unit (dlu) widths and heights are specified. Note: 1 horizontal DLU != 1 vertical DLU. Horizontal and vertical DLUs are different sizes. • How to get Visual Studio to step into third party assemblies

    - by ForeverDebugging
When I'm debugging or even coding, it would be really uesful to examine third party assemblies but I can only see their metadata. Given that tools like reflector can decompile assemblies, is there someway or some tool which would allow visual studio to do the same thing? If I happen to have access to the PDB files for an assemblies, would placing them into my applications bin folder allow me to examine the assemblies content through visual studio?
