    Hi, Basically, I'm looking for an easy way (module) to add a private/public option to any kind of content I may published in Drupal (blog entry, image, etc.). So that when I'm logged in, I can see everything. But when an anonymous user visit the site, he will only see the public stuff. It's way to manage a kind of front window/back-store architecture. I can use the same Drupal installation to all my needs and choose to filter the stuff I may want to make publicly available. * Important : 1) Private items must not be accessible even if anonymous users guess its URL; 2) Private item must not show up if anonymous user perform a search; 3) Private content must not be indexed by search engines; 4) Private items should show up if I perform a search while being logged in.     I need to create links using dynamic values for both the URL and the anchor text. I have column called URL, which contains URL's, i.e., http://stackoverflow.com, and I have a column called Title, which contains the text for the anchor, i.e., This Great Site. I figure maybe all I need to do is nest this tags, along with a little HTML to get my desired result: <a href="> <xsl:value-of select="@URL">"> <xsl:value-of select="@Title"/> </xsl:value-of> </a> In my head, this would render: <a href=" http://stackoverflow.com"> This Great Site </a> I know there's more to it, but I haven't been able to clearly understand what more I need. I think this issue has been addressed before, but not in a way I could understand it. I'd be more than happy to improve the question's title to help noobs like myself find this item, and hopefully an answer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I have a class with a set of properties As given below. class ContactInfo { [ReadOnly(true)] [Category("Contact Info")] public string Mobile { get; set; } [Category("Contact Info")] public string Name{ get; set; } } The objects of this class is being assigned to a property grid, so that the users can update an existing contact. you can see that Mobile is marked as ReadOnly. But, when I want to add an entirely new Contact, I would want the users to be able to edit the contact Mobile also. For that I need to remove the Readonly property dynamically from the Type, before assigning the object to the property grid. Is it possible?

  • Why is Serializable Attribute required for an object to be serialized

    Based on my understanding SerializableAttribute provides no compile time checks, as its all done at runtime, then why is it required for classes to be marked as serializable? Couldn't sterilizer just try to serialize an object and just fail? isn't it what it does right-now when something is marked, it tries and fails. wouldn't it be better if you had to mark things as unserializable rather than serializable? that way you wouldn't have the problem of libraries not marking things as serializable?

    Hi I know this is something simple I am doing wrong. I have three tables, installation, neighborhood, schools Installation: has_many :schools has_many :neighborhoods Neighborhood: has_many :installations has_many :schools Schools: belongs_to :installations belongs_to :neighborhoods I can't figure out how to show the name of the neighborhood the school is located in on the index view. I can get it to show on the show view once I have the school id. But on the index view I can't figure out what to put in the controller that will allow me to access the neighborhood name from the neighborhood_id that is in the School model. I am sure this is so easy and I am screwing up something stupid. HELP!

The problem is that I don't know the ID and I have some problems with these DIVs if I try to display them more that once. So, the idea is to modify the DIV id each time I'd like to display them.
