    Hello, in my python project I call a c++ dll using ctypes library. That c++ dll consists on a wrapper dll that calls methods of a c# com interop dll. Sometimes I have a COM exception. I like to see what it corresponds exactlly but I don't know how to do it? How can I attach the c++ debugger to this situation? Thanks in advance

  • Optimizing division/exponential calculation

    I've inherited a Visual Studio/VB.Net numerical simulation project that has a likely inefficient calculation. Profiling indicates that the function is called a lot (1 million times plus) and spends about 50% of the overall calculation within this function. Here is the problematic portion Result = (A * (E ^ C)) / (D ^ C * B) (where A-C are local double variables and D & E global double variables) Result is then compared to a threshold which might have additional improvements as well, but I'll leave them another day any thoughts or help would be appreciated Steve

    In an ASP.NET project I have the following HTML: <asp:PlaceHolder ID="plcTitle" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder> <div id="divStrapline" runat="server" /> which are populated with this code: if (this.TitlePanel != null) { plcTitle.Controls.Add(this.TitlePanel); } if (this.Strapline != null) { divStrapline.Controls.Add(this.Strapline); } Are they both the same thing? Is either better than the other? Why?

    Hi all, Under Hudson, does somebody know how to specify a release tag name in a cvs checkout ? At the moment, i only specify the CVSROOT and modules names to checkout my project in my workspace. I tried to add '-r TAG_NAME' for each module name, but it doesn't work. I think that this functionality exist, so if someone as the right syntax/way to do it.. :) Thanks in advance for your help.     Some complex subversion merges are coming up in my project: big branches that have been apart for a long time. Svn gives too many conflicts. Would it be any good to use git-svn just for the benefit of making the merge more manageable?     I have to install windows service using Visual Studio. Target location for the install is handled by “DefaultLocation” property in Visual Studio setup project. I had used [AppDataFolder] tag to install the application. As the result, it has been installed in “C:\Users[username]\AppData*Roaming*” folder. I can not figure out how to modify “DefaultLocation” property in such a way that application will be installed in C:\Users[username]\AppData*Local* folder. Any idea how to accomplish that?
