    I have a stored procedure which is returning me about 50 columns. I want to write a query, where I will be able to select a particular column from the list of column returned by the SP. I tried writing select RSA_ID from exec(uspRisksEditSelect '1') But Its throwing me an error. I think we need to write some dynamic sql for it. But I am new to it.

    I'm trying to load up xml into an XmlDocument, but it doesn't recognize the encoded '&eacute' and throws an error 'An error occurred while parsing Entity Name'. Now I can add a custom entity set in a DTD of my xml, so the XmlDocument loads properly. But what I'm hoping is that I can reference a url that has a common set of these ISO Latin encoded characters. Is this possible, or do I need to inject a custom list of DTD sets?

  • Validating using stripes causes bound values to delete

    I'm using Stripes and I am validating the values of a drop down box to ensure the user selects an option. On initial load all data is present, but once the validation kicks in the form loses the data that was set up in the action bean on load. This includes the original list I am validating against. I'm simply using in the jsp, and annotating the field in the action bean as @Validate(required=true). Am I missing something simple? Cheers

    I have 3 models: Category, Account, and SubAccount The relations are: Accounts has_many :sub_accounts Categories has_many :sub_accounts I wanted to get a list of all Categories that are not used by a given account. My method in the Category model currently looks like: class Category < ActiveRecord::Base def self.not_used_by(account) Category.find_by_sql("select * from categories where id not in(select category_id from sub_accounts where account_id = #{account.id})") end end My question is, is there a cleaner alternative than using SQL?     I have an unordered list and each li makes up one item in a two column layout: col1 col2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 I need to have an alternating background colour for each item BUT NOT so each item in one column is the same. So : 1,4,5,8,9,11 will have one colour; and 2,3,6,7,10,12 will have another colour. Can this be achieved with one :nth-child rule? Thanks!

    I am having trouble deleting orphan nodes using JPA with the following mapping @OneToMany (cascade = CascadeType.ALL, fetch = FetchType.EAGER, mappedBy = "owner") private List<Bikes> bikes; I am having the issue of the orphaned roles hanging around the database. I can use the @org.hibernate.annotations.Cascade Hibernate specific tag but obviously I don't want to tie my solution into a hibernate implementation. Any pointers greatly appreciated.
