  • What is the best practice for ouputting data from a collection on an ASP.net Page?

    - by bshacklett
    I've ported a page from classic ASP to ASP.net. Part of what happens in this page is that a collection of custom types is generated and then displayed via Response.Write() commands. I'd like to get the business logic separated out into a code behind file (and maybe move this all into a user control), but I can't seem to figure out how I'd actually display the collection once it's been generated. I want to specify a master page here, too, so the code can't stay inline. Here's a very stripped down version of the current code: <% Dim objs as ArrayList = New ArrayList() For i = 0 To 2 Dim obj as Obj = New Obj() obj.setProp1("ASDF") obj.setProp2("FDSA") objs.Add(obj) Next i %> <table> <thead> <tr> <th scope="col">Property 1</th> <th scope="col">Property 2</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <% For Each obj As Obj In objs Dim objProp1 As String = obj.getProp1 Dim objProp2 As String = obj.getProp2 %> <tr> <td><% Response.Write(objProp1)%></td> <td><% Response.Write(objProp2)%></td> </tr> <% Next %> </tbody> </table> What is the ".net" way of doing this?

  • Static Data Structures on Embedded Devices (Android in particular)

    - by Mark
    I've started working on some Android applications and have a question regarding how people normally deal with situations where you have a static data set and have an application where that data is needed in memory as one of the standard java collections or as an array. In my current specific issue i have a spreadsheet with some pre-calculated data. It consists of ~100 rows and 3 columns. 1 Column is a string, 1 column is a float, 1 column is an integer. I need access to this data as an array in java. It seems like i could: 1) Encode in XML - This would be cpu intensive to decode in my experience. 2) build into SQLite database - seems like a lot of overhead for static access to data i only need array style access to in ram. 3) Build into binary blob and read in. (never done this in java, i miss void *) 4) Build a python script to take the CSV version of my data and spit out a java function that adds the values to my desired structure with hard coded values. 5) Store a string array via androids resource mechanism and compute the other 2 columns on application load. In my case the computation would require a lot of calls to Math.log, Math.pow and Math.floor which i'd rather not have to do for load time and battery usage reasons. I mostly work in low power embedded applications in C and as such #4 is what i'm used to doing in these situations. It just seems like it should be far easier to gain access to static data structures in java/android. Perhaps I'm just being too battery usage conscious and in my single case i imagine the answer is that it doesn't matter much, but if every application took that stance it could begin to matter. What approaches do people usually take in this situation? Anything I missed?

  • Adding a Layout to bottom of the screen inside a ScrollView in Landscape mode

    - by andreea
    I have the following layout which works in Portrait mode: the Layout with the id LinearLayout02 is placed at the bottom of the screen. The problem appears when flipping to Lanscape mode, when the #LinearLayout02 is placed at the top of the screen. The question is how do I position #LinearLayout02 at the bottom of the screen in both Portrait and Landscape mode? (This happens on G1 and Xperia) Thank you The following code is placed inside a ScrollView android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:fillViewport="true" <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/sLayout" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:paddingTop="2dip" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:gravity="top" > ..... </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/LinearLayout02" android:background="@drawable/bottombar_bg" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:paddingTop="10dip" android:layout_height="56dip" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:gravity="bottom" > <Button android:id="@+id/navigate" style="@style/mainBottomTabsButtonNormal" android:drawableLeft="@drawable/icon_navigation" android:text="@string/navigationSettings" android:layout_gravity="left"> </Button> <Button android:id="@+id/search" style="@style/mainBottomTabsButtonActive" android:drawableLeft="@drawable/icon_search" android:text="@string/search.label" android:layout_gravity="right"> </Button> </LinearLayout> </RelativeLayout>

  • Character Encoding: â??

    - by akaphenom
    I am trying to piece together the mysterious string of characters â?? I am seeing quite a bit of in our database - I am fairly sure this is a result of conversion between character encodings, but I am not completely positive. The users are able to enter text (or cut and paste) into a Ext-Js rich text editor. The data is posted to a severlet which persists it to the database, and when I view it in the database i see those strange characters... is there any way to decode these back to their original meaning, if I was able to discover the correct encoding - or is there a loss of bits or bytes that has occured through the conversion process? Users are cutting and pasting from multiple versions of MS Word and PDF. Does the encoding follow where the user copied from? Thank you website is UTF-8 We are using ms sql server 2005; SELECT serverproperty('Collation') -- Server default collation. Latin1_General_CI_AS SELECT databasepropertyex('xxxx', 'Collation') -- Database default SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS and the column: Column_name Type Computed Length Prec Scale Nullable TrimTrailingBlanks FixedLenNullInSource Collation text varchar no -1 yes no yes SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS The non-Unicode equivalents of the nchar, nvarchar, and ntext data types in SQL Server 2000 are listed below. When Unicode data is inserted into one of these non-Unicode data type columns through a command string (otherwise known as a "language event"), SQL Server converts the data to the data type using the code page associated with the collation of the column. When a character cannot be represented on a code page, it is replaced by a question mark (?), indicating the data has been lost. Appearance of unexpected characters or question marks in your data indicates your data has been converted from Unicode to non-Unicode at some layer, and this conversion resulted in lost characters. So this may be the root cause of the problem... and not an easy one to solve on our end.

  • [ASP.NET] Change CulturalInfo after button click

    - by Bart
    Hello, i have multilingual asp.net site. there is masterpage and default.aspx in masterpage i put two buttons one to click when i want to change the language to english, second for polish. I want to change the language after click on these buttons (and all changes should appear automatically on the page) here is a code for both: protected void EnglishButton_Click(object sender, ImageClickEventArgs e) { string selectedLanguage = "en-US"; //Sets the cookie that is to be used by InitializeCulture() in content page HttpCookie cookie = new HttpCookie("CultureInfo"); cookie.Value = selectedLanguage; Response.Cookies.Add(cookie); Server.Transfer(Request.Path); } protected void PolishButton_Click(object sender, ImageClickEventArgs e) { string selectedLanguage = "pl-PL"; //Sets the cookie that is to be used by InitializeCulture() in content page HttpCookie cookie = new HttpCookie("CultureInfo"); cookie.Value = selectedLanguage; Response.Cookies.Add(cookie); Server.Transfer(Request.Path); } in default.aspx.cs i have InitializeCulture(): protected override void InitializeCulture() { HttpCookie cookie = Request.Cookies["CultureInfo"]; // if there is some value in cookie if (cookie != null && cookie.Value != null) { Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = CultureInfo.CreateSpecificCulture(cookie.Value); Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = new CultureInfo(cookie.Value); } else // if none value has been sent by cookie, set default language { Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = CultureInfo.CreateSpecificCulture("pl-PL"); Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = new CultureInfo("pl-PL"); } base.InitializeCulture(); } i added resource files and in one label i show actual culture: Welcome.Text = "Culture: " + System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture.ToString(); the problem is that when i run this app and click e.g. english button (default language is polish), there is no effect. if i click it second time or press F5, the changes are applies and in the label is Culture: en-US. the same happens if i want to change language back to polish (it works after second click (or one click and refresh)). What am i doing wrong? Regards, Bart

  • JPA ManyToMany referencing issue

    - by dharga
    I have three tables. AvailableOptions and PlanTypeRef with a ManyToMany association table called AvailOptionPlanTypeAssoc. The trimmed down schemas look like this CREATE TABLE [dbo].[AvailableOptions]( [SourceApplication] [char](8) NOT NULL, [OptionId] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, ... ) CREATE TABLE [dbo].[AvailOptionPlanTypeAssoc]( [SourceApplication] [char](8) NOT NULL, [OptionId] [int] NOT NULL, [PlanTypeCd] [char](2) NOT NULL, ) CREATE TABLE [dbo].[PlanTypeRef]( [PlanTypeCd] [char](2) NOT NULL, [PlanTypeDesc] [varchar](32) NOT NULL, ) And the Java code looks like this. //AvailableOption.java @ManyToMany(cascade={CascadeType.ALL}, fetch=FetchType.EAGER) @JoinTable( name = "AvailOptionPlanTypeAssoc", joinColumns = { @JoinColumn(name = "OptionId"), @JoinColumn(name="SourceApplication")}, inverseJoinColumns=@JoinColumn(name="PlanTypeCd")) List<PlanType> planTypes = new ArrayList<PlanType>(); //PlanType.java @ManyToMany @JoinTable( name = "AvailOptionPlanTypeAssoc", joinColumns = { @JoinColumn(name = "PlanTypeCd")}, inverseJoinColumns={@JoinColumn(name="OptionId"), @JoinColumn(name="SourceApplication")}) List<AvailableOption> options = new ArrayList<AvailableOption>(); The problem arises when making a select on AvailableOptions it joins back onto itself. Note the following SQL code from the backtrace. The second inner join should be on PlanTypeRef. SELECT t0.OptionId, t0.SourceApplication, t2.PlanTypeCd, t2.EffectiveDate, t2.PlanTypeDesc, t2.SysLstTrxDtm, t2.SysLstUpdtUserId, t2.TermDate FROM dbo.AvailableOptions t0 INNER JOIN dbo.AvailOptionPlanTypeAssoc t1 ON t0.OptionId = t1.OptionId AND t0.SourceApplication = t1.SourceApplication INNER JOIN dbo.AvailableOptions t2 ON t1.PlanTypeCd = t2.PlanTypeCd WHERE (t0.SourceApplication = ? AND t0.OptionType = ?) ORDER BY t0.OptionId ASC, t0.SourceApplication ASC [params=(String) testApp, (String) junit0]}

  • Are PyArg_ParseTuple() "s" format specifiers useful in Python 3.x C API?

    - by Craig McQueen
    I'm trying to write a Python C extension that processes byte strings, and I have something basically working for Python 2.x and Python 3.x. For the Python 2.x code, near the start of my function, I currently have a line: if (!PyArg_ParseTuple(args, "s#:in_bytes", &src_ptr, &src_len)) ... I notice that the s# format specifier accepts both Unicode strings and byte strings. I really just want it to accept byte strings and reject Unicode. For Python 2.x, this might be "good enough"--the standard hashlib seems to do the same, accepting Unicode as well as byte strings. However, Python 3.x is meant to clean up the Unicode/byte string mess and not let the two be interchangeable. So, I'm surprised to find that in Python 3.x, the s format specifiers for PyArg_ParseTuple() still seem to accept Unicode and provide a "default encoded string version" of the Unicode. This seems to go against the principles of Python 3.x, making the s format specifiers unusable in practice. Is my analysis correct, or am I missing something? Looking at the implementation for hashlib for Python 3.x (e.g. see md5module.c, function MD5_update() and its use of GET_BUFFER_VIEW_OR_ERROUT() macro) I see that it avoids the s format specifiers, and just takes a generic object (O specifier) and then does various explicit type checks using the GET_BUFFER_VIEW_OR_ERROUT() macro. Is this what we have to do?

  • How do I get the User Entered Value in AjaxControlToolkit ComboBox when the enter key is pressed?

    - by Jason
    The Problem: The user entered value is missing in the .Text attribute of the AjaxControlToolkit ComboBox when the enter key pressed. Also the “on change” events events are not called but I am not using postbacks anyway so I do not care. Example: private void BuildFileListDetails(NHibernateDataProvider _providerM) { int resultsPage = Convert.ToInt32(ddlNavPageNumber.Text); const int RESULTS_PAGE_SIZE = 100; // The cbFileName.Text equals "" Not what user entered string searchFileName= cbFileName.Text; var xrfFiles = _providerM.GetXrfFiles(searchFileName, resultsPage, RESULTS_PAGE_SIZE); gvXrfFileList.DataSource = xrfFiles; gvXrfFileList.DataBind(); } My Solution: I needed to access the AjaxToolkit "ComboBox" imbedded TextBox control's .Text to access the value entered by user. private void BuildFileListDetails(NHibernateDataProvider _providerM) { int resultsPage = Convert.ToInt32(ddlNavPageNumber.Text); const int RESULTS_PAGE_SIZE = 100; string searchFileName; //The Solution: Access the AjaxToolkit "ComboBox" imbedded TextBox control's .Text to access the value entered by user. TextBox textBox = cbFileName.FindControl("TextBox") as TextBox; if (textBox != null) { searchFileName = textBox.Text; //textBox.Text = "User Entered Value" } else { searchFileName = cbFileName.Text; } var xrfFiles = _providerM.GetXrfFiles(searchFileName, resultsPage, RESULTS_PAGE_SIZE); gvXrfFileList.DataSource = xrfFiles; gvXrfFileList.DataBind(); }

  • Silverlight combobox performance issue

    - by Vinzz
    Hi, I'm facing a performance issue with a crowded combobox (5000 items). Rendering of the drop down list is really slow (as if it was computing all items before showing any). Do you have any trick to make this dropdown display lazy? Xaml code: <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" Width="200" Height="20"> <TextBlock>Test Combo </TextBlock> <ComboBox x:Name="fooCombo" Margin="5,0,0,0"></ComboBox> </StackPanel> </Grid> code behind: public MainPage() { InitializeComponent(); List<string> li = new List<string>(); int Max = 5000; for (int i = 0; i < Max; ++i) li.Add("Item - " + i); fooCombo.ItemsSource = li; }

  • C# unit test code questions continue

    - by 5YrsLaterDBA
    more questions after questions in here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2714073/c-unit-test-code-questions I found the VS unit test testframe treat private and protected method in the same way but deferent with public method. The following is the generated code for a private method: /// <summary> ///A test for recordLogin ///</summary> [TestMethod()] [DeploymentItem("SystemSoftware.exe")] public void recordLoginTest() { User_Accessor target = new User_Accessor(); // TODO: Initialize to an appropriate value Guid userId = new Guid(); // TODO: Initialize to an appropriate value string action = string.Empty; // TODO: Initialize to an appropriate value Users user = null; // TODO: Initialize to an appropriate value AndeDBEntities db = null; // TODO: Initialize to an appropriate value bool expected = false; // TODO: Initialize to an appropriate value bool actual; actual = target.recordLogin(userId, action, user, db); Assert.AreEqual(expected, actual); Assert.Inconclusive("Verify the correctness of this test method."); } questions: [DeploymentItem("SystemSoftware.exe")] is for private and protected methods, why needs it and what is it for? In my original class/file, if I point to the original method and try to "Find All References". The reference in the unit test class/file will not show up for private and protected methods but it will show up for all public methods. Why is that? Is it right? 3.

  • Accessing Item Fields via Sitecore Web Service

    - by Catch
    I am creating items on the fly via Sitecore Web Service. So far I can create the items from this function: AddFromTemplate And I also tried this link: http://blog.hansmelis.be/2012/05/29/sitecore-web-service-pitfalls/ But I am finding it hard to access the fields. So far here is my code: public void CreateItemInSitecore(string getDayGuid, Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleDataReader reader) { if (getDayGuid != null) { var sitecoreService = new EverBankCMS.VisualSitecoreService(); var addItem = sitecoreService.AddFromTemplate(getDayGuid, templateIdRTT, "Testing", database, myCred); var getChildren = sitecoreService.GetChildren(getDayGuid, database, myCred); for (int i = 0; i < getChildren.ChildNodes.Count; i++) { if (getChildren.ChildNodes[i].InnerText.ToString() == "Testing") { var getItem = sitecoreService.GetItemFields(getChildren.ChildNodes[i].Attributes[0].Value, "en", "1", true, database, myCred); string p = getChildren.ChildNodes[i].Attributes[0].Value; } } } } So as you can see I am creating an Item and I want to access the Fields for that item. I thought that GetItemFields will give me some value, but finding it hard to get it. Any clue?

  • How can I print lines that match a pattern in Perl?

    - by kivien
    Assuming the file.txt having just one sentence per line as follows:- John Depp is a great guy. He is very inteligent. He can do anything. Come and meet John Depp. The perl code is as follows:- open ( FILE, "file.txt" ) || die "can't open file!"; @lines = <FILE>; close (FILE); $string = "John Depp"; foreach $line (@lines) { if ($line =~ $string) { print "$line"; } } The output is going to be first and fourth line. I want to make it working for the file having random line breaks rather than one English sentence per line. I mean it should also work for the following:- John Depp is a great guy. He is very inteligent. He can do anything. Come and meet John Depp. The output should be first and fourth sentence. Any ideas please?

  • Upload image from J2ME client to a Servlet

    - by Akash
    I want to send an image from a J2ME client to a Servlet. I am able to get a byte array of the image and send it using HTTP POST. conn = (HttpConnection) Connector.open(url, Connector.READ_WRITE, true); conn.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.POST); conn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); os.write(bytes, 0, bytes.length); // bytes = byte array of image This is the Servlet code: String line; BufferedReader r1 = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in)); while ((line = r1.readLine()) != null) { System.out.println("line=" + line); buf.append(line); } String s = buf.toString(); byte[] img_byte = s.getBytes(); But the problem I found is, when I send bytes from the J2ME client, some bytes are lost. Their values are 0A and 0D hex. Exactly, the Carriage Return and Line Feed. Thus, either POST method or readLine() are not able to accept 0A and 0D values. Any one have any idea how to do this, or how to use any another method?

  • Programming R/Sweave for proper \Sexpr output

    - by deoksu
    Hi I'm having a bit of a problem programming R for Sweave, and the #rstats twitter group often points here, so I thought I'd put this question to the SO crowd. I'm an analyst- not a programmer- so go easy on me my first post. Here's the problem: I am drafting a survey report in Sweave with R and would like to report the marginal returns in line using \Sexpr{}. For example, rather than saying: Only 14% of respondents said 'X'. I want to write the report like this: Only \Sexpr{p.mean(variable)}$\%$ of respondents said 'X'. The problem is that Sweave() converts the results of the expression in \Sexpr{} to a character string, which means that the output from expression in R and the output that appears in my document are different. For example, above I use the function 'p.mean': p.mean<- function (x) {options(digits=1) mmm<-weighted.mean(x, weight=weight, na.rm=T) print(100*mmm) } In R, the output looks like this: p.mean(variable) >14 but when I use \Sexpr{p.mean(variable)}, I get an unrounded character string (in this case: 13.5857142857143) in my document. I have tried to limit the output of my function to 'digits=1' in the global environment, in the function itself, and and in various commands. It only seems to contain what R prints, not the character transformation that is the result of the expression and which eventually prints in the LaTeX file. as.character(p.mean(variable)) >[1] 14 >[1] "13.5857142857143" Does anyone know what I can do to limit the digits printed in the LaTeX file, either by reprogramming the R function or with a setting in Sweave or \Sexpr{}? I'd greatly appreciate any help you can give. Thanks, David

  • How can i inject servletcontext in spring

    - by M.R.
    I need to write a junit test for a rather complex application which runs in a tomcat. I wrote a class which builds up my spring context. private static ApplicationContext springContext = null; springContext = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext( new String[] {"beans"....}); In the application there is a call: public class myClass implements ServletContextAware { .... final String folder = servletContext.getRealPath("/example"); ... } which breaks everything, because the ServletContext is null. I have started to build a mock object: static ServletConfig servletConfigMock = createMock(ServletConfig.class); static ServletContext servletContextMock = createMock(ServletContext.class); @BeforeClass public static void setUpBeforeClass() throws Exception { expect(servletConfigMock.getServletContext()).andReturn(servletContextMock).anyTimes(); expect(servletContextMock.getRealPath("/example")).andReturn("...fulllpath").anyTimes(); replay(servletConfigMock); replay(servletContextMock); } Is there a simple methode to inject the ServletContext or to start the tomcat with a deployment descriptor at the runtime of the junit test? I am using: spring, maven, tomcat 6 and easymock for the mock objects.

    I have a customized data import executable in .NET 3.5 which the SqlBulkCopy to basically do faster inserts on large amounts of data. The app basically takes an input file, massages the data and bulk uploads it into a SQL Server 2000. It was written by a consultant who was building it with a SQL 2008 database environment. Would that env difference be causing this? SQL 2000 does have the bcp utility which is what BulkCopy is based on. So, When we ran this, it triggered a Deadlock error. Error details: Transaction (Process ID 58) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. I've tried numerous ways to try to resolve it. like temporarily setting the connection string variable MultipleActiveResultSets=true, which wasn't ideal, but it still gives a Deadlock error. I also made sure it wasn't a connection time out problem. here's the function. Any advice? /// <summary> /// Bulks the insert. /// </summary> public void BulkInsert(string destinationTableName, DataTable dataTable) { SqlBulkCopy bulkCopy; if (this.Transaction != null) { bulkCopy = new SqlBulkCopy ( this.Connection, SqlBulkCopyOptions.TableLock, this.Transaction ); } else { bulkCopy = new SqlBulkCopy ( this.Connection.ConnectionString, SqlBulkCopyOptions.TableLock | SqlBulkCopyOptions.UseInternalTransaction ); } bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("FeeScheduleID", "FeeScheduleID"); bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("ProcedureID", "ProcedureID"); bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("AltCode", "AltCode"); bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("AltDescription", "AltDescription"); bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("Fee", "Fee"); bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("Discount", "Discount"); bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("Comment", "Comment"); bulkCopy.ColumnMappings.Add("Description", "Description"); bulkCopy.BatchSize = dataTable.Rows.Count; bulkCopy.DestinationTableName = destinationTableName; bulkCopy.WriteToServer(dataTable); bulkCopy = null; }

  • How to escape the character entities in XML?

    - by Chetan Vaity
    I want to pass XML as a string in an XML attribute. <activity evt="&lt;FHS&gt; &lt;act&gt; &lt;polyline penWidth=&quot;2&quot; points=&quot;256,435 257,432 &quot;/&gt; &lt;/act&gt; &lt;/FHS&gt; /> Here the "evt" attribute is the XML string, so escaping all the less-than, greater-than, etc characters by the appropriate character entities works fine. The problem is I want a fragment to be interpreted as is - the character entities themselves should be treated as simple strings. When the "evt" attribute is read and an XML is generated from it, it should look like <FHS> <act> &lt;polyline penWidth=&quot;2&quot; points=&quot;256,435 257,432 &quot;/&gt; </act> </FHS> Essentially, I want to escape the character entities. How is this possible?

  • Populating JavaScript Array from JSP List

    - by tkeE2036
    Ok so perhaps someone can help me with a problem I'm trying to solve. Essentially I have a JSP page which gets a list of Country objects (from the method referenceData() from a Spring Portlet SimpleFormController, not entirely relevant but just mentioning in case it is). Each Country object has a Set of province objects and each province and country have a name field: public class Country { private String name; private Set<Province> provinces; //Getters and setters } public class Province { private String name; //Getters and setters } Now I have two drop down menus in my JSP for countries and provinces and I want to filter the provinces by country. I've been following this tutorial/guide to make a chain select in JavaScript. Now I need a dynamic way to create the JavaScript array from my content. And before anyone mentions AJAX this is out of the question since our project uses portlets and we'd like to stay away from using frameworks like DWR or creating a servlet. Here is the JavaScript/JSP I have so far but it is not populating the Array with anything: var countries = new Array(); <c:forEach items="${countryList}" var="country" varStatus="status"> countries[status.index] = new Array(); countries[status.index]['country'] = ${country.name}; countries[status.index]['provinces'] = [ <c:forEach items="${country.provinces}" var="province" varStatus="provinceStatus"> '${province.name}' <c:if test="${!provinceStatus.last}"> , </c:if> </c:forEach> ]; </c:forEach> Does anyone know how to create an JavaScript array in JSP in the case above or what the 'best-practice' would be considered in this case? Thanks in advance!

  • PHP SOAP error: Method element needs to belong to the namespace

    - by kdm
    I'm unable to retrieve data from an XML document, any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using PHP 5.2.10 and the WSDL url is an internal link within my company. The following code produces an error. $url = "http://dta-info/IVR/IVRINFO?WSDL"; $params = array("zANI" => "12345"); try{ $client = new SoapClient($url, array( 'trace' => 1, 'connection_timeout' => 2, 'location' => $url ) ); }catch(SoapFault $fault){ echo "faultstring: {$fault->faultstring})\n"; } try{ $result = $client->GetIVRinfo($params); }catch(SoapFault $fault){ echo "(faultcode: {$fault->faultcode}, faultstring: {$fault->faultstring} )\n"; } (faultcode: SOAP-ENV:Client, faultstring: There should be no path or parameters after a SOAP vname. ) So i tried to use a non-wsdl mode but i receive a different error no matter how i try to format the params. $url = "http://dta-info/IVR/IVRINFO"; $params = array("zANI" => "12345"); try{ $client = new SoapClient(null, array( 'trace' => 1, 'connection_timeout' => 2, 'location' => $url, 'uri' => $uri, 'style' => SOAP_DOCUMENT, 'use' => SOAP_LITERAL, 'soap_version' => SOAP_2 ) ); }catch(SoapFault $fault){ echo "faultstring: {$fault->faultstring})\n"; } try{ $result = $client->GetIVRinfo($params); }catch(SoapFault $fault){ echo "(faultcode: {$fault->faultcode}, faultstring: {$fault->faultstring} )\n"; } (faultcode: SOAP-ENV:Client, faultstring: The method element needs to belong to the namespace 'http://GETIVRINFO/IVR/IVRINFO'. ) I have tested this WSDL with a tool called SoapUI and it returns the results with no errors. So it leads me to believe I'm not formatting the vars or headers correctly with PHP. I also tried passing in a xml fragment as the param but that returns the same error. What am i doing wrong?????? $params = '<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ivr="http://GETIVRINFO/IVR/IVRINFO"> <soapenv:Header/> <soapenv:Body> <ivr:GetIVRinfo> <!--Optional:--> <ivr:zANI>12345</ivr:zANI> </ivr:GetIVRinfo> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope>'; Here is the WSDL document: <?xml version="1.0"?><wsdl:definitions name="IVR"   • No output from exception

    - by Grasper
    Why does this code not print an exception stack trace? import java.util.concurrent.Executors; import java.util.concurrent.ScheduledExecutorService; import java.util.concurrent.TimeUnit; public class Playground { /** * @param args */ public static void main(String[] args) { startThread(); } private static void startThread() { ScheduledExecutorService timer = Executors .newSingleThreadScheduledExecutor(); Runnable r = new Runnable() { int dummyInt = 0; boolean dummyBoolean = false; @Override public void run() { dummyInt = Integer.parseInt("AAAA"); if (dummyBoolean) { dummyBoolean= false; } else { dummyBoolean= true; } } }; timer.scheduleAtFixedRate(r, 0, 100, TimeUnit.MILLISECONDS); } } How can I get it to?
