• Ksoap2 Error after Updating Android SDK and ADT

  I have a problem. When I updated Android SDK tool to version 17 and the ADT to 17 I can't use ksoap2 any more. • Keyword to SQL search

  Use Case When a user goes to my website, they will be confronted with a search box much like SO. They can search for results using plan text. ".net questions", "closed questions", ".net and java", etc.. The search will function a bit different that SO, in that it will try to as much as possible of the schema of the database rather than a straight fulltext search. So ".net questions" will only search for .net questions as opposed to .net answers (probably not applicable to SO case, just an example here), "closed questions" will return questions that are closed, ".net and java" questions will return questions that relate to .net and java and nothing else. Problem I'm not too familiar with the words but I basically want to do a keyword to SQL driven search. I know the schema of the database and I also can datamine the database. I want to know any current approaches there that existing out already before I try to implement this. I guess this question is for what is a good design for the stated problem. Proposed My proposed solution so far looks something like this Clean the input. Just remove any special characters Parse the input into chunks of data. Break an input of "c# java" into c# and java Also handle the special cases like "'c# java' questions" into 'c# java' and "questions". Build a tree out of the input Bind the data into metadata. So convert stuff like closed questions and relate it to the isclosed column of a table. Convert the tree into a sql query. Thoughts/suggestions/links?

• Mercurial Pull Error

  I am new to the dvcs world. My company uses perforce and I'm not a fan so I thought I'd try to use mercurial as a front end. I set it up on a windows machine with TortiseHG, enabled the Perfarce extension, did a small checkout (limiting the target revision) and pulled for the rest. This seemed to be more robust than clone alone. This seems to be working fairly well as I've been able to get up to change 8700 or so. My problem is with an error in the perforce repo. During the hg pull command it hits an error abort: file path/to/file.pl missing in p4 workspace and rolls back the transaction. Is there anyway to bypass or skip that file and force it to continue since this is not a file I care about.

  I've upgraded a FlexBuilder3 project to FlashBuilder4, and I am seeing many compilation errors regarding unsupported tag attributes: The style 'backgroundDisabledColor' is only supported by type 'mx.controls.TextInput' with the theme(s) 'halo' Here is the offending mxml element: <mx:TextInput x="245" y="86" id="code1" maxChars="15" change="enableButton(event)" cornerRadius="9" borderStyle="solid" backgroundDisabledColor="#7977b6" /> ...what is the best workaround for this particular error? I was able to easily resolve a similar error with the "backgroundColor" attribute by changing it to "contentBackgroundColor", and was hoping there was a simple workaround for backgroundDisabledColor as well. I realize I can apply a css style, but I'd rather have a simpler solution as there are many many other attribute errors similar to this one.

  Whenever I require a file in ruby or irb I get this error: LoadError: no such file to load -- (insert any filename).rb from <internal:lib/rubygems/custom_require>:29:in `require' from <internal:lib/rubygems/custom_require>:29:in `require' from (irb):1 from /usr/bin/irb1.9.1:12:in `<main>' It happens even if the file exists I am using ruby1.9.1 and to my knowledge, I have not installed rubygems. Eg: If first name is 'XYZ-', how can i display '- is not allowed in first name.' Is there a way I can access what character the regex is failing for? Would you recommend something else altogether? I thought about writing a custom validator but the regex is pretty simple, so I don't see the point. I couldn't find a decent documentation for the zend 'regex' validator anywhere. If I don't override the default error message, I simple get something like : ';;;hhbhbhb' does not match against pattern '/^[(a-zA-Z0-9)]+$/' - which I obviously don't want to display to the user. I'd appreciate your inputs.

• updating changes from one database to another database in the same server

  I have a copy of client database say 'DBCopy' which already contains modified data. The copy of the client database (DBCopy) is attached to the SQL Server where the Central Database (DBCentral) exists. Then I want to update whatever changes already present in DBCopy to DBCentral. Both DBCopy and DBCentral have same schema. How can i do it programatically using C#.NET maybe with a button click. Can you give me an example code as how to do it?. I am using SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and VS 2008 SP1. In the actual scenario there are about 7 client database all with same schema as the central database. I am bringing copy of each client database and attach it to Central Server where the central database resides and try to update changes present in each copy of the client database to central database one by one programatically using C# .NET . The clients and the central server are physically seperate machines present in different places. They are not interconnected. I need to only update and insert new data. • VSDBCMD deployment for additions to third party databases

  We have some custom objects (stored procedures etc) in an SQL Server 2005 database belonging to an ERP system. The custom objects are in different schemas to the ERP objects. We're using Database Edition .dbproj projects and vsdbcmd deployment for all our custom application databases and would like to similarly manage our custom objects in the ERP database. It's not clear how this can be done without either: Importing all ERP objects (~4000 tables) into the .dbproj and manually keeping them in sync with ERP development. Visual Studio fell over the only time I tried importing these, so I've no idea whether it can actually handle a project of this size. Somehow excluding the ERP schemas (there are two) from the diff process to ensure they don't get dropped by vsdbcmd. I haven't found any documentation which suggests this is possible. I'm aware of the IgnoreDefaultSchema setting, but there are two schemas I need to ignore and I'm not comfortable with the 'default schema' approach - deployment by different users could be disasterous. Has anyone managed to successfully use .dbproj & vsdbcmd for custom additions to a third party database? If not, how do you manage SQL source control & deployment?

  I'm an absolute beginner using IDLE (Python 2.6.4) to learn the basics. • Database design for credit based purchases

  I need an elegant way to implement credit-based purchases for an online store with a small variety of products which can be purchased using virtual credit or real currency. Alternatively, products could only be priced in credits. Previous work I have implemented credit-based purchasing before using different product types (eg. Credit, Voucher or Music) with post-order processing to assign purchased credit to users in the form of real currency, which could subsequently be used to discount future orders' charge totals. This worked fairly well as a makeshift solution, but did not succeed in disconnecting the virtual currency from the real currency, which is what I'd like to do, since spending credits is psychologically easier for customers than spending real currency. Design I need guidance on designing the database correctly with support for the simultaneous bulk purchase of credits at a discount along with real currency products. Alternatively, should all products be priced in credits and only credit have a real currency value?
