  • How can one undelete an accidentally deleted fan page?

    No clue if this is an appropriate SU question or if it's best migrated elsewhere. I help administer a Facebook fan page for a local business. Recently one of the other administrators accidentally deleted the Facebook fan page. We have tried to fill out this form: http://www.facebook.com/developers/developer_help.php And have yet to receive a response. We are desperate to have the fan page restored. Thanks for any pointers.

  • How does subdomain forward by domain registrar work?

    Can you please help me understand how this particular functionality works: I have a domain: example.com, it's registered with GoDaddy. its nameservers are set to linode: ie. ns1.linode.com, ns2.linode.com But at the same time, I can setup a subdomain redirect on GoDaddy and it works. So, I can create a 301 redirect from www. - non www. Can you please tell me how GoDaddy can do this?

  • NFS automounts hang

    Hi, I have been mounting NFS shares on my x86 Ubuntu with NIS/am-utils fine for a long time, but today my system got into a state where it could no longer access automounted directories and instead frequently got hung up trying to access them, returning either "Input/output error" or "Permission denied" (almost randomly), as well as "stale file handle." I can, however, manually mount that share fine. Restarting am-utils doesn't help get my system out of its funk; is there any other way of getting my system un-stuck?

I actually need a tutorial for installing APC on servers with the following configuration: lighttpd + php 5.2 on Ubuntu 10 I know it should be pretty similar, but if I found the exact tutorial I could save time.   • Difference between adding MIME types in IIS via Websites vs Local Computer?

    What is the difference between adding MIME types in these 2 different situations? When in IIS 6 manager... Right click on the computer name (local computer) properties mime types Right click on the "Web sites" folder properties http headers mime types I'm guessing that perhaps option 1 adds MIME types for FTP also? However if that were true i'd expect to be able to add MIME types specifically in the properties of FTP (and not just websites). thanks for your help.

    I had recently replaced a failing hard drive on my software raid 1 system with suse 10.1 , and i am checking for any warning messages on " var/log/warn " and i found this message "avahi-daemon[3201]: Invalid query packet." more than 12 times , i am new to these stuff , should i be concerned , is there something wrong with the system , can i check anywhere else to find out if there is any problem with the system.     Hi, I have Adobe's PDF creator installed and I'm using Microsoft Project 2007... I want to print my gantt chart as one giant single-page PDF. (Currently it's set to print on letter sized paper, and it's six pages in a 3x2 layout.) I can't figure out where or how to make those settings. The PDF page setup doesn't seem to be right, nor "page setup" in Project. Help :-)

    I successfully configured Postfix to deliver messages to virtual mailboxes. I can set aliases and pipes inside /etc/postfix/virtual and mailboxes inside /etc/postfix/virtual_mailbox files. However, whenever I set a catch-all domain and point to a remote email address, it overrides all other virtual mailboxes and virtual aliases set in postfix. How can I set a catch-all forwarding to the remote email address when virtual mailbox is enabled? I set catch-all like this: @mydomain.com [email protected] Thanks for your help!

  • Access to files on Windows 2003 server from Mac

    Hi, I can access the Windows 2003 server from my Mac, but can't see all the files. I am using Snow Leopard and have followed fixes online. All get me connected and I can see all folders, but not all files within these folders appear. Someone else using a Mac can see all files which is very odd. Any help much appreciated. C

    Hi, I installed Linux Mint in VMware, and I do not understand how to enable networking. My VMware settings use a bridged connection. My other linux distros run fine in vmware - networking works for them. But Linux Mint is the only one that isn't obtaining an ip address. Furthermore, I do not see an option in the administrative menu of Mint to enable networking... Please help. Thanks, Igor

  • Core i7 on linux loses its multithreading capability after suspend

    On my debian-linux system, with a core i7 920 , each time I resume after the command "pm-suspend" (suspend to RAM), mutlithreading capabilities almost disappear. More specifically, two distinct programs can use 2 distinct cores at full rate, but a single program is limited to only one core (for one instance of a multithreaded program as well as multiple instances of a monothreaded program, e.g. "make -j 4" for gcc). So I end up rebooting the system. Any help appreciated!

    Hey i have WRT54G with DD-WRT v24-sp2 firmware. i got this scenario Vlan0 port 2,3,4 172.168.1.1/24 vlan1 Wan port Vlan2 port 1 172.168.2.1/24 i can ping from vlan0 to vlan2 but vlan2 can't ping to vlan0 iptables -I FORWARD -i vlan2 -o vlan1 -j DROP i use this to prevent vlan2 to have internet cuz i don't want to share my internet to vlan2 i just want to share local network betwen vlan1 and vlan2.. any help please :S:S:S
