    Can somebody please provide some sample code to strip diacritical marks (i.e., replace characters having accents, umlauts, etc., with their unaccented, unumlauted, etc., character equivalents, e.g., every accented é would become a plain ASCII e) from a UnicodeString using the ICU library in C++? E.g.: UnicodeString strip_diacritics( UnicodeString const &s ) { UnicodeString result; // ... return result; } Assume that s has already been normalized. Thanks.

  • seeing the console's output in visual studio 2010?

    Hi Quick question please, its the first time am using visual studio, I usually program in netbeans (java), anyways am writing a simple C# program with some outputs (Console.WriteLine("...");), problem each time i run it I cannot see the program's output in the output window. The "program output" tag is already checked and I already redirected all outputs to the intermediate window but to no avail? any ideas? thanx =)

    Hi, I'm absolutely confused with how to create the customized QTextDocument. I have the widget QWidget, which consists of some QLabels, QTableWidgets and QWidgets and I want to print it . I decided to create the new QTextDocument and insert in it all the defined widgets. I have already tried QTextCursor-insertBlock and insertText but my problem is how to define QTextBlockFormat or QTextCharFormat and say it, what is its "content", how to insert the widget in it. Can anyone help please? tom

    I upgraded to Snow Leopard using the disc we got at WWDC. Trying to run some of my rails apps now complains about sql (in /Users/coneybeare/Projects/Ambiance/ambiance-server) !!! The bundled mysql.rb driver has been removed from Rails 2.2. Please install the mysql gem and try again: gem install mysql.     I have developed a module using SagePay Form integration method. It works fine until it returns from the Sagepay site and all of my local user session vars are destroyed for some reason.Thus i am unable to use my own created session vars and save information about a user regarding that specific order.     I'm having trouble figuring out a way to curry a function a specified number of times. That is, I give the function a natural number n and a function fun, and it curries the function n times. For example: (curry n fun) Is the function and a possible application would be: (((((curry 4 +) 1) 2) 3) 4) Which would produce 10. I'm really not sure how to implement it properly. One is oracle thin driver, and the other is OCI driver that requires its own installation (please correct if I'm misunderstanding). Now, what are the pros and cons? Obviously thin driver sounds much better in terms of installation, but is there anything that OCI can and the thin one can't?
