  • How to unit test a Spring MVC controller using @PathVariable?

    - by Martiner
I have a simple annotated controller similar to this one: @Controller public class MyController { @RequestMapping("/{id}.html") public String doSomething(@PathVariable String id, Model model) { // do something return "view"; } } and I want to test it with an unit test like this: public class MyControllerTest { @Test public void test() { MockHttpServletRequest request = new MockHttpServletRequest(); request.setRequestURI("/test.html"); new AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter() .handle(request, new MockHttpServletResponse(), new MyController()); // assert something } } The problem is that AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter.handler() method throws an exception: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not find @PathVariable [id] in @RequestMapping at org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter$ServletHandlerMethodInvoker.resolvePathVariable(AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter.java:642) at org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.support.HandlerMethodInvoker.resolvePathVariable(HandlerMethodInvoker.java:514) at org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.support.HandlerMethodInvoker.resolveHandlerArguments(HandlerMethodInvoker.java:262) at org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.support.HandlerMethodInvoker.invokeHandlerMethod(HandlerMethodInvoker.java:146)

  • How do I change the frame position for a custom MKAnnotationView?

    - by andrei
    I am trying to make a custom annotation view by subclassing MKAnnotationView and overriding the drawRect method. I want the view to be drawn offset from the annotation's position, somewhat like MKPinAnnotationView does it, so that the point of the pin is at the specified coordinates, rather than the middle of the pin. So I set the frame position and size as shown below. However, it doesn't look like I can affect the position of the frame at all, only the size. The image ends up being drawn centered over the annotation position. Any tips on how to achieve what I want? MyAnnotationView.h: @interface MyAnnotationView : MKAnnotationView { } MyAnnotationView.m: - (id)initWithAnnotation:(id <MKAnnotation>)annotation reuseIdentifier:(NSString *)reuseIdentifier { if (self = [super initWithAnnotation:annotation reuseIdentifier:reuseIdentifier]) { self.canShowCallout = YES; self.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; // Position the frame so that the bottom of it touches the annotation position self.frame = CGRectMake(0, -16, 32, 32); } return self; } - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { [[UIImage imageNamed:@"blue-dot.png"] drawInRect:rect]; }

  • Linear Regression and Java Dates

    - by Smithers
I am trying to find the linear trend line for a set of data. The set contains pairs of dates (x values) and scores (y values). I am using a version of this code as the basis of my algorithm. The results I am getting are off by a few orders of magnitude. I assume that there is some problem with round off error or overflow because I am using Date's getTime method which gives you a huge number of milliseconds. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to minimize the errors and compute the correct results?

  • Why won't my UISearchDisplayController fire the didSelectRowAtIndexPath moethod?

    - by John Wells
I am having an odd problem when searching a UITableView using a UISearchDisplayController. The UITableViewController is a subclass of another UITableViewController with a working didSelectRowAtIndexPath method. Without searching the controller handles selections fine, sending the superclass a didSelectRowAtIndexPath call, but if I select a cell when searching the superclass receives nothing but the cell is highlighted. Below is the code from my subclass. @implementation AdvancedViewController @synthesize searchDisplayController, dict, filteredList; - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; // Programmatically set up search bar UISearchBar *mySearchBar = [[UISearchBar alloc] init]; mySearchBar.delegate = self; [mySearchBar setAutocapitalizationType:UITextAutocapitalizationTypeNone]; [mySearchBar sizeToFit]; self.tableView.tableHeaderView = mySearchBar; // Programmatically set up search display controller searchDisplayController = [[UISearchDisplayController alloc] initWithSearchBar:mySearchBar contentsController:self]; [self setSearchDisplayController:searchDisplayController]; [searchDisplayController setDelegate:self]; [searchDisplayController setSearchResultsDataSource:self]; // Parse data from server NSData * jsonData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:url]]; NSArray * items = [[NSArray alloc] initWithArray:[[CJSONDeserializer deserializer] deserializeAsArray:jsonData error:nil]]; // Init variables dict = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; listIndex = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; fullList = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; filteredList = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; // Get each item and format it for the UI for(NSMutableArray * item in items) { // Get the first letter NSString * firstKey = [[[item objectAtIndex:0] substringWithRange:NSMakeRange(0,1)] uppercaseString]; // Put symbols and numbers in the same section if ([[firstKey stringByTrimmingCharactersInSet:[[NSCharacterSet letterCharacterSet] invertedSet]] isEqualToString:@""]) firstKey = @"#"; // If there isn't a section with this key if (![listIndex containsObject:firstKey]) { // Add the key to the index for faster access (because it's already sorted) [listIndex addObject:firstKey]; // Add the key to the unordered dictionary [dict setObject:[NSMutableArray array] forKey:firstKey]; } // Add the object to the dictionary [[dict objectForKey:firstKey] addObject:[[NSMutableDictionary alloc] initWithObjects:item forKeys:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"name", @"url", nil]]]; // Add the object to the list for simple searching [fullList addObject:[[NSMutableDictionary alloc] initWithObjects:item forKeys:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"name", @"url", nil]]]; } filteredList = [NSMutableArray arrayWithCapacity:[fullList count]]; } #pragma mark - #pragma mark Table view data source // Custom method for object oriented data access - (NSString *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView dataForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath withKey:(NSString *)key { return (NSString *)((tableView == self.searchDisplayController.searchResultsTableView) ? • Excel error HRESULT: 0x800A03EC while trying to get range with cell's name

    - by Teerasej
I am working with Window Service project. that have to write data to a sheet in Excel file in a sequence times. But sometimes, just sometimes, the service throw out the exception "Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A03EC" while it's trying to get range with cell's name. I have put the code of opening excel sheet, and getting cell here. OS: window server 2003 Office: Microsoft Office 2003 sp2 1: Opening excel sheet m_WorkBook = m_WorkBooks.Open(this.FilePath, 0, false, 5, "", "", true, Excels.XlPlatform.xlWindows, ";", true, false, 0, true, 0, 0); 2: Getting cell to write protected object m_MissingValue = System.Reflection.Missing.Value; Range range = m_WorkSheet.get_Range(cell.CellName, m_MissingValue); // error from this method, and cell name is string.

  • WPF TypeConverter ConvertTo not firing

    - by JFoulkes
Hi, I have a dependency property in a class which I need to be converted to a string. I have added the TypeConverty attribute on the property. The type I am converting is the .net Style class. [TypeConverter(typeof(BulletStyleTypeConverter))] public Style BulletStyle { get { return (Style)GetValue(BulletStyleProperty); } set { this.SetValue(BulletStyleProperty, value); } } When I put the string "Rectangle" in for BulletStyle in xaml it hits the ConvertFrom method in my converter. However, when I use XamlWriter.Save() to serialise this, the property does not appear as an attribute in the string which is produced. I have implemented ConvertTo and put a breakpoint on, which is never hit. I have implemented CanConvertTo and put a breakpoint on, which IS hit and returns true. So i'm stumped as to why ConvertTo never fires.

  • Progressive download using Matt Gallagher's audio streamer

    - by Fernando Valente
I'm a completely n00b when talking about audio. I'm using Matt Gallagher's audio streamer on my radio app. How may I use progressive download? Also, ExtAudioFile is a good idea too :) Edit: Used this: length = CFReadStreamRead(stream, bytes, kAQDefaultBufSize); if(!data) data =[[NSMutableData alloc] initWithLength:0]; [data appendData:[NSData dataWithBytes:bytes length:kAQDefaultBufSize]]; Now I can save the audio data using writeToFile:atomically: NSData method, but the audio won't play. Also, if I try to load it on a AVAudioPlayer, I get an error.

  • Unit-test FileSystemWatcher.Error Event

    - by dotNetkow
I'm trying to unit test a private method that I have attached to my FileSystemWatcher's Error event. MSDN says that this event "occurs when the internal buffer overflows." I've tried to cause a buffer overflow but have not been successful so far. The FileSystemWatcher's various properties are: fileWatcher.IncludeSubdirectories = false; fileWatcher.Filter = "*"; fileWatcher.NotifyFilter = (NotifyFilters.FileName | NotifyFilters.LastAccess | NotifyFilters.Size); What is the best way of raising this event for the purpose of unit-testing?

  • Are there alternatives to UltraWinGrid (for C#)?

    - by MPelletier
I've been using the Infragistics UltraWinGrid for a while in a C# project, and while it's very spiffy, it is sometimes a bit heavy to run (and editing it in Visual Studio can be hazardous). I'm looking for a lighter alternative. Looks (always a big plus with Infragistics) are not as important as functionality. Namely, I'm looking for a beefed up DataGridView which: has data binding (duh!) has lock control over editing allows for sub-tables on opening a row can have multiple headers to group columns together (say header 1 is composed of "Group A" and "Group B", and header 2 has various columns under each group) has sorting by column (and can sort numbers properly, even if it does not have a stock method at first) has filtering by column (perhaps the most demanding spec) à la UltraWinGrid/Excel (text field with a way to specify if the filter is equal, not equal, greater, lesser, starts with, ends with, etc). supports check box, text box or data bound list/combo box cells allows cells to be merged (not the control cells of course!) can have events bound to each row (say double click)

  • How to load font from InputStream in SWT?

    - by parxier
I need to load font (.otf or .ttf) file from java Resource or InputStream in SWT. org.eclipse.swt.graphics.Device.loadFont(String path) allows me (example) to load font from font file path (and it works), but there is no corresponding method to load it from any other source. I was thinking of using java.awt.Font.createFont(int fontFormat, InputStream fontStream) and then building org.eclipse.swt.graphics.FontData and org.eclipse.swt.graphics.Font objects out of AWT java.awt.Font object. Since I haven't tried that option yet (I don't even know if it works that way) I was just wondering if there are any other options available?

  • UIScrollView setZoomScale not working ?

    - by iFloh
Hi, I am struggeling with my UIScrollview to get it to zoom-in the underlying UIImageView. In my view controller I set - (UIView *)viewForZoomingInScrollView:(UIScrollView *)scrollView { return myImageView; } In the viewDidLoad method I try to set the zoomScale to 2 as follows (note the UIImageView and Image is set in Interface Builder): - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; myScrollView.contentSize = CGSizeMake(myImageView.frame.size.width, myImageView.frame.size.height); myScrollView.contentOffset = CGPointMake(941.0, 990.0); myScrollView.minimumZoomScale = 0.1; myScrollView.maximumZoomScale = 10.0; myScrollView.zoomScale = 0.7; myScrollView.clipsToBounds = YES; myScrollView.delegate = self; NSLog(@"zoomScale: %.1f, minZoolScale: %.3f", myScrollView.zoomScale, myScrollView.minimumZoomScale); } I tried a few variations of this, but the NSLog always shows a zoomScale of 1.0. Any ideas where I screw this one up?

  • Objective-C "miscasting" a string/int using stringWithFormat and %d

    - by user141146
Hi, I think this is a relatively simple question, but I don't precisely know what's happening. I have a method that tries to build a string using NSString's stringWithFormat It looks like this: NSString *line1 = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"the car is %d miles away", self.ma]; In the above line "self.ma" should be an int, but in my case, I made an error and "self.ma" actually points to a NSString. So, I understand that the line should read NSString *line1 = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"the car is %@ miles away", self.ma]; but my question is what is the %d in the first example doing to my NSString? If I use the debugger, I can see that in once case, "self.ma" equals "32444", but somehow the %d converts it to 1255296. I would've guessed that the conversion of 32444 = 1255296 is some type of base-numbering conversion (hex to dec or something), but that doesn't appear to be the case. Any idea as to what %d is doing to my string? TIA

  • What happens if my IExceptionPublisher throws an Exception?

    - by Graphain
Hi, I'm using the .NET Exception Management Application Block (EMAB). As part of this I am implementing IExceptionPublisher classes. However, I am wondering what happens if these publishers encounter an Exception. I had a bit of a look around and apparently they are meant to do something like this: try { /* Normal Exception Publishing */ } catch { ExceptionManager.PublishInternalException(exception, additionalInfo); } Source: One caveat: what happens if there is an exception in our custom publisher code, preventing the publishing to MSMQ? For that, we turn to the ExceptionManager.PublishInternalException method, which will publish the exception to the default publisher, which is the Windows application event log. However, PublishInternalException is both protected and internal so I would have to be implementing ExceptionManager, not IExceptionPublisher, to access it.

  • 2D colliding n-body simulation (fast Collision Detection for large number of balls)

    - by osgx
Hello I want to write a program for simulating a motion of high number (N = 1000 - 10^5 and more) of bodies (circles) on 2D plane. All bodies have equal size and the only force between them is elastic collision. I want to get something like but in larger scale, with more balls and more dense filling of the plane (not a gas model as here, but smth like boiling water model). So I want a fast method of detection that ball number i does have any other ball on its path within 2*radius+V*delta_t distance. I don't want to do a full search of collision with N balls for each of i ball. (This search will be N^2.) PS Sorry for loop-animated GIF. Just press Esc to stop it. (Will not work in Chrome).

  • C#: How to set AsyncWaitHandle in Compact Framework?

    - by Thorsten Dittmar
Hi, I'm using a TcpClient in one of my Compact Framework 2.0 applications. I want to receive some information from a TCP server. As the Compact Framework does not support the timeout mechanisms of the "large" framework, I'm trying to implement my own timeout-thing. Basically, I want to do the following: IAsyncResult result = client.BeginRead(buffer, 0, size, ..., stream); if (!result.AsyncWaitHandle.WaitOne(5000, false)) // Handle timeout private void ReceiveFinished(IAsyncResult ar) { NetworkStream stream = (NetworkStream)ar.AsyncState; int numBytes = stream.EndRead(ar); // SIGNAL IASYNCRESULT.ASYNCWAITHANDLE HERE ... HOW?? } I'd like to call Set for the IAsyncResult.AsyncWaitHandle, but it doesn't have such a method and I don't know which implementation to cast it to. How do I set the wait handle? Or is it automatically set by calling EndRead? The documentation suggests that I'd have to call Set myself... Thanks for any help!

  • Unresponsive form instance when instantiating form gets minimized

    - by sjlewis
There's form A is the main form that gets hidden and is accessible via NotifyIcon's context menu. Form A instantiates form B via NotifyIcon's context menu also. Form B reacts to mouse events, etc. No problem there. Form B instantiates form C. Form C reacts to mouse events, etc. No problem here as well, but when form B gets minimized, form C no longer reacts to mouse events (eg. can no longer move, button clicks do not respond). Any idea why form C behaves like this in relation to form B getting minimized. I also tried to instantiate form C through form A (eg. form B calling a method in form A to instantiate form C) but the same thing happens. Is there any way to make form C respond even w/ form B (initiator) minimized?

  • What is JDBC's Connection.isClosed() good for, and why is Snaq DBPool misbehaving on close?

    - by Uri
I have the following code in Java: if(!conn.isClosed()) { conn.close(); } Instead of working, I am awarded with: java.sql.SQLException: Connection already closed My connection object is a Snaq.db.CacheConnection I checked the JavaDocs for isClosed, and they state that: This method generally cannot be called to determine whether a connection to a database is valid or invalid. A typical client can determine that a connection is invalid by catching any exceptions that might be thrown when an operation is attempted. So my questions are: 1) What good is JDBC's isClosed() anyway? Since when do we use Exceptions in Java to check for validity? 2) What is the correct pattern to close a database? Should I just close and swallow exceptions? 3) Any idea why would SnaqDB be closing the connection? (My backend is a Postgres 8.3)

  • Using the Ninject NLogModule Logger in global.asax

    - by Ciaran
I'm using Ninject for DI in my asp.net application, so my Global class inherits from NinjectHttpApplication. In my CreateKernel(), I'm creating my custom modules and DI is working fine for me. However, I notice that there is a Logger property in the NinjectHttpApplication class, so I'm trying to use this in Application_Error whenever an exception is not caught. I think I'm creating the nlog module correctly for Ninject, but my logger is always null. Here's my CreateKernel: protected override Ninject.Core.IKernel CreateKernel() { IKernel kernel = new StandardKernel(new NLogModule(), new NinjectRepositoryModule()); return kernel; } But in the following method, Logger is always null. protected void Application_Error(object sender, EventArgs e) { Exception lastException = Server.GetLastError().GetBaseException(); Logger.Error(lastException, "An exception was caught in Global.asax"); } To clarify, Logger is a property on NinjectHttpApplication of type ILogger and has the [Inject] attribute Any idea how to inject correctly into Logger?

  • What is the simplest way to implement multithredding in c# to existing code

    - by Kaeso
I have already implemented a functionnal application that parses 26 pages of html all at once to produce an xml file with data contained on the web pages. I would need to implement a thread so that this method can work in the background without causing my app to seems unresponsive. Secondly, I have another function that is decoupled from the first one which compares two xml files to produce a third one and then transform this third xml file to produce an html page using XSLT. This would have to be on a thread, where I can click Cancel to stop the thread whithout crashing the app. What is the easiest best way to do this using WPF forms in VS 2010 ? Note: I cannot use the BackgroundWorker component as it is grayed out in the toolbox.

  • How to create a protocol at runtime in Objective-C?

    - by Jared P
Hi, First of all, I want to be clear that I'm not talking about defining a protocol, and that I understand the concept of @protocol someprotocol - (void)method; @end I know that the Obj-C runtime allows creation of classes at RUNTIME, as well as its ivars and methods. Also available for creation are SEL-s. I think I'm just missing something, but does anyone know what function to call to create a protocol at runtime? The main reason for this is for conformsToProtocol: to work, so just adding the appropriate methods doesn't really cut it.

  • Can't define static abstract string property

    - by goombaloon
I've run into an interesting problem and am looking for some suggestions on how best to handle this... I have an abstract class that contains a static method that accepts a static string that I would like to define as an abstract property. Problem is that C# doesn't doesn't support the following (see the ConfigurationSectionName and Current properties): public abstract class ProviderConfiguration : ConfigurationSection { private const string _defaultProviderPropertyName = "defaultProvider"; private const string _providersPropertyName = "providers"; protected static string ConfigurationSectionName { get; } public static Configuration Current { get { return Configuration)ConfigurationManager.GetSection(ConfigurationSectionName); } } } I suppose one way to handle this would be to make ConfigurationSectionName NOT abstract and then create a new definition of ConfigurationSectionName in the derived classes, but that feels pretty hackish. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Gratias!!!

  • ExtJS: Login with 'Remember me' functionality

    - by Chau
I'm trying to create a simple login window with the very common 'Remember me' functionality. The login validation is done AJAX style, thus the browser won't remember my input. My approach is to use the built-in state functionality, but how to use it confuses me. Ext.state.Manager.setProvider(new Ext.state.CookieProvider({ expires: new Date(new Date().getTime()+(1000*60*60*24*7)), //7 days from now })); ... { xtype: 'textfield', fieldLabel: 'User name', id: 'txt-username', stateful: true, stateId: 'username' }, { xtype: 'textfield', fieldLabel: 'Password', id: 'txt-password', inputType: 'password', stateful: true, stateId: 'password' }, { xtype: 'button', text: 'Validate', stateEvents: 'click' } I know I have to implement the getState method, but on what component (my guess is on the two textfields)?
