But I would like not to replace West in Western. Can I use regular expression in string.replace? I used inputText.Replace("(\\sWest.\\s)",temp); It dos not work.

• Query with Two Different DSN

  I have a query: The "X" tables are from one data source and the "Y" table is from another...but there is join between the data sources. I can't seem to figure out how to enter the two different connection strings for this to run. • Unexpected output of std::wcout << L"élève"; in Windows Shell

  While testing some functions to convert strings between wchar_t and utf8 I met the following weird result with Visual C++ express 2008 std::wcout << L"élève" << std::endl; prints out "ÚlÞve:" which is obviously not what is expected. This is obviously a bug. How can that be ? How am I suppose to deal with such "feature" ?

• How can I turn a string of text into a BigInteger representation for use in an El Gamal cryptosystem

  I'm playing with the El Gamal cryptosystem, and my goal is to be able to encipher and decipher long sequences of text. I have come up with a method that works for short sequences, but does not work for long sequences, and I cannot figure out why. El Gamal requires the plaintext to be an integer. I have turned my string into a byte[] using the .getBytes() method for Strings, and then created a BigInteger out of the byte[]. After encryption/decryption, I turn the BigInteger into a byte[] using the .toByteArray() method for BigIntegers, and then create a new String object from the byte[]. This works perfectly when i call ElGamalEncipher with strings up to 129 characters. With 130 or more characters, the output produced is garbled. Can someone suggest how to solve this issue? Is this an issue with my method of turning the string into a BigInteger? If so, is there a better way to turn my string of text into a BigInteger and back? • How to handle float values in a plist

  I'm reading in a plist from a web server, generated with some php. When I read that into an NSArray in my iphone app, and then spit the NSArray out with NSLog to check it out, I see that the float values are treated as strings. I would like the "distance" values to be treated as numeric and not strings. This plist is displayed in a table view where it can be sorted by distance, but the problem is is distance is sorted as a string, so I get some funny sorting results. Can I convert the distance values to float from string in the NSArray? Or maybe theres a simpler solution like tweaking the plist definition, or maybe something in the NSMutableURLRequest code? But all quines I know store their source code in a string and then replace a special character in it using something like chr and ord. My language only has the following Basic arithmetics Int and string types Variables == operator Conditional gotos I have no idea how I could write a quine as I have no real string manipulation available, I can only output constant strings. I want to match two off-suit cards with a regex, what I currently have is "^[AKQJT2-9][hscd]{2}$", but this could match hands such as AhKh (suited) and AhAh. Is there a way to possibly use backreferences to say the second [hscd] cannot be the same as the firs (similarly for [AKQJT2-9])
