  • Deleting xml file using radio value

    - by ???? ???
    i using php to delete file, but i got table loop like this: <table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="product-table"> <tr class="bg_tableheader"> <th class="table-header-check"><a id="toggle-all" ></a> </th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Username</font></a> </th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">First Name</font></a></th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Last Name</font></a></th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Email</font></a></th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Group</font></a></th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Birthday</font></a></th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Gender</font></a></th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Age</font></a></th> <th class="table-header-check"><a href="#"><font color="white">Country</font></a></th> </tr> <?php $files = glob('users/*.xml'); foreach($files as $file){ $xml = new SimpleXMLElement($file, 0, true); echo ' <tr> <td></td> <form action="" method="post"> <td class="alternate-row1"><input type="radio" name="file_name" value="'. basename($file, '.xml') .'" />'. basename($file, '.xml') .'</td> <td>'. $xml->name .'&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp</td> <td class="alternate-row1">'. $xml->lastname .'</td> <td>'. $xml->email .'</td> <td class="alternate-row1">'. $xml->level .'</td> <td>'. $xml->birthday .'</td> <td class="alternate-row1">'. $xml->gender .'</td> <td>'. $xml->age .'</td> <td class="alternate-row1">'. $xml->country .'</td> </tr>'; } ?> </table> </div> <?php if(isset($_POST['file_name'])){ unlink('users/'.$_POST['file_name']); } ?> <input type="submit" value="Delete" /> </form> so as you can see i got radio value set has basename (xml file name) but from some reason it not working, any idea why is that? Thanks in advance.

  • Performance issues with jms and spring integration. What is wrong with the following configuration?

    - by user358448
    I have a jms producer, which generates many messages per second, which are sent to amq persistent queue and are consumed by single consumer, which needs to process them sequentially. But it seems that the producer is much faster than the consumer and i am having performance and memory problems. Messages are fetched very very slowly and the consuming seems to happen on intervals (the consumer "asks" for messages in polling fashion, which is strange?!) Basically everything happens with spring integration. Here is the configuration at the producer side. First stake messages come in stakesInMemoryChannel, from there, they are filtered throw the filteredStakesChannel and from there they are going into the jms queue (using executor so the sending will happen in separate thread) <bean id="stakesQueue" class="org.apache.activemq.command.ActiveMQQueue"> <constructor-arg name="name" value="${jms.stakes.queue.name}" /> </bean> <int:channel id="stakesInMemoryChannel" /> <int:channel id="filteredStakesChannel" > <int:dispatcher task-executor="taskExecutor"/> </int:channel> <bean id="stakeFilterService" class="cayetano.games.stake.StakeFilterService"/> <int:filter input-channel="stakesInMemoryChannel" output-channel="filteredStakesChannel" throw-exception-on-rejection="false" expression="true"/> <jms:outbound-channel-adapter channel="filteredStakesChannel" destination="stakesQueue" delivery-persistent="true" explicit-qos-enabled="true" /> <task:executor id="taskExecutor" pool-size="100" /> The other application is consuming the messages like this... The messages come in stakesInputChannel from the jms stakesQueue, after that they are routed to 2 separate channels, one persists the message and the other do some other stuff, lets call it "processing". <bean id="stakesQueue" class="org.apache.activemq.command.ActiveMQQueue"> <constructor-arg name="name" value="${jms.stakes.queue.name}" /> </bean> <jms:message-driven-channel-adapter channel="stakesInputChannel" destination="stakesQueue" acknowledge="auto" concurrent-consumers="1" max-concurrent-consumers="1" /> <int:publish-subscribe-channel id="stakesInputChannel" /> <int:channel id="persistStakesChannel" /> <int:channel id="processStakesChannel" /> <int:recipient-list-router id="customRouter" input-channel="stakesInputChannel" timeout="3000" ignore-send-failures="true" apply-sequence="true" > <int:recipient channel="persistStakesChannel"/> <int:recipient channel="processStakesChannel"/> </int:recipient-list-router> <bean id="prefetchPolicy" class="org.apache.activemq.ActiveMQPrefetchPolicy"> <property name="queuePrefetch" value="${jms.broker.prefetch.policy}" /> </bean> <bean id="connectionFactory" class="org.springframework.jms.connection.CachingConnectionFactory"> <property name="targetConnectionFactory"> <bean class="org.apache.activemq.ActiveMQConnectionFactory"> <property name="brokerURL" value="${jms.broker.url}" /> <property name="prefetchPolicy" ref="prefetchPolicy" /> <property name="optimizeAcknowledge" value="true" /> <property name="useAsyncSend" value="true" /> </bean> </property> <property name="sessionCacheSize" value="10"/> <property name="cacheProducers" value="false"/> </bean>

  • Converting XML to RSS

    - by hkw
    I've got an xml feed that will be published in one location of our website, and would like to repurpose that for an RSS feed. A few different pages on the website will also be referencing the same xml - all of those transformations are set up and working. The base xml file (XMLTEST.xml) is using this structure: <POST> <item> <POST_ID>80000852</POST_ID> <POST_TITLE>title</POST_TITLE> <POST_CHANNEL>I</POST_CHANNEL> <POST_DESC>description</POST_DESC> <LINK>http://www...</LINK> <STOC>N</STOC> </item> </POST> I'm trying to transform the xml into an RSS feed using the following setup (feed.xml + rss.xsl) feed.xml: <?xml-stylesheet href="rss.xsl" type="text/xsl"?> <RSSChannels> <RSSChannel src="XMLTEST.xml"/> </RSSChannels> rss.xsl: <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:output method="xml" omit-xml-declaration="yes" /> <xsl:template match="RSSChannels"> <rss version="2.0"> <channel> <title>site title</title> <link></link> <description>Site description...</description> <xsl:apply-templates /> </channel> </rss> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="RSSChannel"> <xsl:apply-templates select="document(@src)" /> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="item"> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="STOC = 'Y'"></xsl:when> <xsl:when test="POST_CHANNEL = 'I'"></xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <item> <title> <xsl:value-of select="*[local-name()='POST_TITLE']" /> </title> <link> <xsl:value-of select="*[local-name()='LINK']" /> </link> <description> <xsl:value-of select="*[local-name()='POST_DESC']" /> </description> </item> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> When I try to view the output of feed.xml in Firefox, all of the filtering is applied correctly (sorting out items that shouldn't be published in that channel), but the page outputs as plain text, rather than the usual feed-detection that takes place in Firefox. Any ideas on what I'm missing? Thanks for any suggestions you can provide.

  • globals and locals in python exec()

    - by hawkettc
    Hi, I'm trying to run a piece of python code using exec. my_code = """ class A(object): pass print 'locals: %s' % locals() print 'A: %s' % A class B(object): a_ref = A """ global_env = {} local_env = {} my_code_AST = compile(my_code, "My Code", "exec") exec(my_code_AST, global_env, local_env) print local_env which results in the following output locals: {'A': <class 'A'>} A: <class 'A'> Traceback (most recent call last): File "python_test.py", line 16, in <module> exec(my_code_AST, global_env, local_env) File "My Code", line 8, in <module> File "My Code", line 9, in B NameError: name 'A' is not defined However, if I change the code to this - my_code = """ class A(object): pass print 'locals: %s' % locals() print 'A: %s' % A class B(A): pass """ global_env = {} local_env = {} my_code_AST = compile(my_code, "My Code", "exec") exec(my_code_AST, global_env, local_env) print local_env then it works fine - giving the following output - locals: {'A': <class 'A'>} A: <class 'A'> {'A': <class 'A'>, 'B': <class 'B'>} Clearly A is present and accessible - what's going wrong in the first piece of code? I'm using 2.6.5, cheers, Colin * UPDATE 1 * If I check the locals() inside the class - my_code = """ class A(object): pass print 'locals: %s' % locals() print 'A: %s' % A class B(object): print locals() a_ref = A """ global_env = {} local_env = {} my_code_AST = compile(my_code, "My Code", "exec") exec(my_code_AST, global_env, local_env) print local_env Then it becomes clear that locals() is not the same in both places - locals: {'A': <class 'A'>} A: <class 'A'> {'__module__': '__builtin__'} Traceback (most recent call last): File "python_test.py", line 16, in <module> exec(my_code_AST, global_env, local_env) File "My Code", line 8, in <module> File "My Code", line 10, in B NameError: name 'A' is not defined However, if I do this, there is no problem - def f(): class A(object): pass class B(object): a_ref = A f() print 'Finished OK' * UPDATE 2 * ok, so the docs here - http://docs.python.org/reference/executionmodel.html 'A class definition is an executable statement that may use and define names. These references follow the normal rules for name resolution. The namespace of the class definition becomes the attribute dictionary of the class. Names defined at the class scope are not visible in methods.' It seems to me that 'A' should be made available as a free variable within the executable statement that is the definition of B, and this happens when we call f(), but not when we use exec(). This can be more easily shown with the following - my_code = """ class A(object): pass print 'locals in body: %s' % locals() print 'A: %s' % A def f(): print 'A in f: %s' % A f() class B(object): a_ref = A """ which outputs locals in body: {'A': <class 'A'>} A: <class 'A'> Traceback (most recent call last): File "python_test.py", line 20, in <module> exec(my_code_AST, global_env, local_env) File "My Code", line 11, in <module> File "My Code", line 9, in f NameError: global name 'A' is not defined So I guess the new question is - why aren't those locals being exposed as free variables in functions and class definitions - it seems like a pretty standard closure scenario.

  • Problems with blocking reads using libudev on Linux

    - by Steve Hawkins
    We are using the following routine (on Linux, with libudev) to read data from a PIC microcontroller configured as a USB HID device. The data is sent only when a button connected to the PIC microcontroller is pressed or released. The routine is missing messages from the PIC controller, and I suspect that this is because the call to poll below is not behaving as it should. The call to poll will reliably block for 1 second util the first message is read. As soon as the first message is read, the call to poll returns immediately instead of blocking for 1 second (1000 milliseconds) like it should. I have worked around this problem by closing and re-opening the device after each read. This makes poll behave correctly, but I think that closing and re-opening the device may be the reason for the lost messages. bool PicIo::Receive (unsigned char* picData, const size_t picDataSize) { static hiddev_report_info hidReportInfo; static hiddev_usage_ref_multi hidUsageRef; if (-1 == PicDeviceDescriptor()) { return false; } // Determine whether or not there is data available to be read pollfd pollFd; pollFd.fd = PicDeviceDescriptor(); pollFd.events = POLLIN; int dataPending = poll (&pollFd, 1, 1000); if (dataPending <= 0) { return false; } // Initialize the HID Report structure for an input report hidReportInfo.report_type = HID_REPORT_TYPE_INPUT; hidReportInfo.report_id = 0; hidReportInfo.num_fields = 64; if (-1 == ioctl(PicDeviceDescriptor(), HIDIOCGREPORT, &hidReportInfo)) { return false; } // Initizlize the HID Usage Reference for an Input report hidUsageRef.uref.report_type = HID_REPORT_TYPE_INPUT; hidUsageRef.uref.report_id = 0; hidUsageRef.uref.field_index = 0; hidUsageRef.uref.usage_index = 0; hidUsageRef.num_values = 64; if (-1 == ioctl(PicDeviceDescriptor(), HIDIOCGUSAGES, &hidUsageRef)) { return false; } // Transfer bytes from the usage report into the return value. for (size_t idx=0; (idx < 64) && (idx < picDataSize); ++idx) { picData[idx] = hidUsageRef.values[idx]; } return true; } The function PicDeviceDescriptor() does checking on the device to make sure that it is present. Here are the pertinent details of the PicDeviceDescriptor function, showing how the device is begin opened. int PicIo::PicDeviceDescriptor(int command) { struct stat statInfo; static int picDeviceDescriptor = -1; string picDevicePath = "/dev/usb/hiddev0"; if ((-1 != picDeviceDescriptor) && (CLOSE == command)) { close (picDeviceDescriptor); picDeviceDescriptor = -1; } else if ((-1 != picDeviceDescriptor) && (-1 == fstat(picDeviceDescriptor, &statInfo))) { // Handle the case where the PIC device had previously been detected, and // is now disconnected. close (picDeviceDescriptor); picDeviceDescriptor = -1; } else if ((-1 == picDeviceDescriptor) && (m_picDevice.IsConnected())) { // Create the PIC device descriptor if the PIC device is present (i.e. its // device node is present) and if the descriptor does not already exist picDeviceDescriptor = open (picDevicePath.c_str(), O_RDONLY); } return picDeviceDescriptor; } I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong, but I've Googled the issue and cannot seem to find any relevant answers. Any help would be very much appreciated -- Thx.

  • ASP.NET MVC 3 embrace dynamic type - CSDN.NET - CSDN Software Development Channel

    - by user559071
    About a decade ago, Microsoft will all bet on the WebForms and static types. With the complete package from scattered to the continuous development, and now almost every page can be viewed as its own procedure. Subsequent years, the industry continued to move in another direction, love is better than separation package, better than the late binding early binding to the idea. This leads to two very interesting questions. The first is the problem of terminology. Consider the original Smalltalk MVC model, view and controller is not only tightly coupled together, and usually in pairs. Most of the framework is that Microsoft, including the classic VB, WinForms, WebForms, WPF and Silverlight, they both use the code behind file to store the controller logic. But said "MVC" usually refers to the view and controller are loosely coupled framework. This is especially true for the Web framework, HTML form submission mechanism allows any views submitted to any of the controller. Since this article was mainly talking about Web technologies, so we need to use the modern definition. The second question is "If you're Microsoft, how to change orbit without causing too much pressure to the developer?" So far, the answer is: new releases each year, until the developers meet up. ASP.NET MVC's first product was released last March. Released in March this year, ASP.NET MVC 2.0. 3.0 RC 2 is currently in phase, expected to be released next March. December 10, Microsoft released ASP.NET MVC 3.0 Release Candidate 2. RC 2 is built on top of Microsoft's commitment to the jQuery: The default project template into jQuery 1.4.4, jQuery Validation 1.7 and jQuery UI. Although people think that Microsoft will focus shifted away from server-side controls to be a joke, but the introduction of Microsoft's jQuery UI is that this is the real thing. For those worried about the scalability of the developers, there are many excellent control can replace the session state. With SessionState property, you can tell the controller session state is read-only, read-write, or can be completely ignored in the. This site is no single server, but if a server needs to access another server session state, then this approach can provide a great help. MVC 3 contains Razor view engine. By default, the engine will be encoded HTML output, so that we can easily output on the screen the text of the original. HTML injection attacks even without the risk of encoded text can not easily prevent the page rendering. For many C # developers in the end do what is most shocking that MVC 3 for the controller and view and embrace the dynamic type. ViewBag property will open a dynamic object, developers can run on top of the object to add attributes. In general, it is used to send the view from the controller non-mode data. Scott Guthrie provides state of the sample contains text (such as the current time) and used to assemble the list box entries. • Overloading '-' for array subtraction

    - by Chris Wilson
    I am attempting to subtract two int arrays, stored as class members, using an overloaded - operator, but I'm getting some peculiar output when I run tests. The overload definition is Number& Number :: operator-(const Number& NumberObject) { for (int count = 0; count < NumberSize; count ++) { Value[count] -= NumberObject.Value[count]; } return *this; } Whenever I run tests on this, NumberObject.Value[count] always seems to be returning a zero value. Can anyone see where I'm going wrong with this? The line in main() where this subtraction is being carried out is cout << "The difference is: " << ArrayOfNumbers[0] - ArrayOfNumbers[1] << endl; ArrayOfNumbers contains two Number objects. The class declaration is #include <iostream> using namespace std; class Number { private: int Value[50]; int NumberSize; public: Number(); // Default constructor Number(const Number&); // Copy constructor Number(int, int); // Non-default constructor void SetMemberValues(int, int); // Manually set member values int GetNumberSize() const; // Return NumberSize member int GetValue() const; // Return Value[] member Number& operator-=(const Number&); }; inline Number operator-(Number Lhs, const Number& Rhs); ostream& operator<<(ostream&, const Number&); The full class definition is as follows: #include <iostream> #include "../headers/number.h" using namespace std; // Default constructor Number :: Number() {} // Copy constructor Number :: Number(const Number& NumberObject) { int Temp[NumberSize]; NumberSize = NumberObject.GetNumberSize(); for (int count = 0; count < NumberObject.GetNumberSize(); count ++) { Temp[count] = Value[count] - NumberObject.GetValue(); } } // Manually set member values void Number :: SetMemberValues(int NewNumberValue, int NewNumberSize) { NumberSize = NewNumberSize; for (int count = NewNumberSize - 1; count >= 0; count --) { Value[count] = NewNumberValue % 10; NewNumberValue = NewNumberValue / 10; } } // Non-default constructor Number :: Number(int NumberValue, int NewNumberSize) { NumberSize = NewNumberSize; for (int count = NewNumberSize - 1; count >= 0; count --) { Value[count] = NumberValue % 10; NumberValue = NumberValue / 10; } } // Return the NumberSize member int Number :: GetNumberSize() const { return NumberSize; } // Return the Value[] member int Number :: GetValue() const { int ResultSoFar; for (int count2 = 0; count2 < NumberSize; count2 ++) { ResultSoFar = ResultSoFar * 10 + Value[count2]; } return ResultSoFar; } Number& operator-=(const Number& Rhs) { for (int count = 0; count < NumberSize; count ++) { Value[count] -= Rhs.Value[count]; } return *this; } inline Number operator-(Number Lhs, const Number& Rhs) { Lhs -= Rhs; return Lhs; } // Overloaded output operator ostream& operator<<(ostream& OutputStream, const Number& NumberObject) { OutputStream << NumberObject.GetValue(); return OutputStream; }

Here is my html form: <table border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" bgcolor="#D3D3D3"> <tr> <form name="formcheck" method="post" action="list.php" onsubmit="return formCheck(this);"> <td> <table border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" bgcolor=""> <tr> <td colspan="16" height="25" style="background:#5C915C; color:white; border:white 1px solid; text-align: left"><strong><font size="3">List Students</td> </tr> <tr> <td width="30" height="35"><font size="3">*List:</td> <td width="30"><input name="specific" type="text" id="specific" maxlength="25" value=""> </td> <td><font size="3">*By:</td> <td> <select name="general" id="general"> <font size="3"> <option>Year</option> <option>Address</option> </select></td></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="10"><input align="right" type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit" > </td> </tr> </form> </table> And here's the form action: <?php $con = mysql_connect("localhost","root","nitoryolai123$%^"); if (!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("school", $con); $gyear= $_POST['general']; if ("YEAR"==$_POST['general']) { $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM student WHERE YEAR='{$_POST["specific"]}'"); echo "<table border='1'> <tr> <th>IDNO</th> <th>YEAR</th> <th>LASTNAME</th> <th>FIRSTNAME</th> </tr>"; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>" . $row['IDNO'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['YEAR'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['LASTNAME'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['FIRSTNAME'] . "</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; } mysql_close($con); ?> Please help, how do I equate the YEAR(column in mysql database) and the option box(general). if ("YEAR"==$_POST['general']) please correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Recursing data into a 2 dimensional array in PHP 5

    - by user315699
    I'm getting bamboozled by "for each" loops and two dimensional arrays, and I'm a php newb so please bear with me (and ignore any variables with the word "image" - it's all about the mp3s, I just didn't change it from the xml tutorial) I found a php function on the net that list files in a directory, the output of which is: Array ( [0] = audio/1.mp3 [1] = audio/2.mp3 [2] = audio/3.mp3 [3] = audio/4.mp3 [4] = audio/5.mp3 ) As expected. And another that lists some info about mp3 files. $mp3datafile = 'audio/1.mp3'; $m = new mp3file($mp3datafile); $mp3dataArray = $m-get_metadata(); print_r($mp3dataArray); unset($mp3dataArray); The output of which is Array ( [Filesize] = 31972 [Encoding] = CBR [etc] ) In order to automatically build RSS for a podcast, I need to generate XML for each item. So far so good. This is how I'm making the xml foreach ($imagearray as $key = $val) { $tnsoundfile = $xml_generator-addChild('item'); $tnsoundfile-addChild('title', $podcasttitle); $enclosure = $tnsoundfile-addChild('enclosure'); $enclosure-addAttribute('url', $val); // that's the filename $enclosure-addAttribute('length', $mp3dataArray[Filesize]); // << Length is file length, not time. But later I also need $mp3dataArray[Length mm:ss] for duration tag. $enclosure-addAttribute('type', 'audio/mpeg'); $tnsoundfile-addChild('guid', $path_to_image_dir.'/'.$val); } (The above has been truncated, I realise it's not proper xml right now, but it was just to show what was going on). Perfect. But I need to do it for as many files as there are in the directory. So, I have an array of the names of the files in the directory in $mp3data And, I have an array of mp3 data in $mp3dataArray from one iteration of the get_metadata() function. If I do the following, then I get a nice list of the mp3 data of the 5 files in the directory: foreach ($mp3data as $key = $val) { $mp3datafile = $val; $m = new mp3file($mp3datafile); $mp3dataArray = $m-get_metadata(); print_r($mp3dataArray); unset($mp3dataArray); } As expected. Where I'm struggling, and have been for most of the day in spite of reading many forums and tutorials, is how to populate the "second dimension" of the array, so that it goes through 1,2,3,4 and 5.mp3 (or however many there are), extracts the metadata, then allows me to use it in the xml section above. Here's what I have foreach ($mp3data as $key = $val) { $mp3datafile = $val; $m = new mp3file($mp3datafile); $mp3dataArray = $m-get_metadata(); $mp3testarray = array($mp3dataArray); } print_r($mp3dataArray); Shouldn't that line print_r($mp3dataArray); give me a nice list of 5 lots of mp3 data, in the way it did when I recursed through the loop as before? Cos this is driving me nuts! It must be something so simple, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • How to make multiple wires quickly in Verilog?

  • FTP into a server using specific usernames

    - by user1854765
    I am trying to ftp into a server, once I'm there, I want to get a file, then put it back after sleeping for 5 minutes. I have that part correct, but i added to the code, two variables that will be inputted when the code is executed. The user will input the username they want to connect with. I am having trouble connecting though. When I input the username t14pb, it still goes to the the first if statement, as if I said t14pmds. here is the code: #!/usr/bin/perl use Net::FTP; $host = "fd00p02"; $username = "$ARGV[0]"; $ftpdir = "/"; $file = "$ARGV[1]"; print "$username\n"; print "$file\n"; if ($username == t14pmds) { $password = "test1"; $ftp = Net::FTP->new($host) or die "Error connecting to $host: $!"; $ftp->login($username, $password) or die "Login failed: $!"; $ftp->cwd($ftpdir) or die "Can't go to $ftpdir: $!"; $ftp->get($file) or die "Can't get $file: $!"; sleep 5; $ftp->put($file) or die "Can't put $file: $!"; $ftp->quit or die "Error closing ftp connection: $!"; } if ($username == t14pb) { $password = "test2"; $ftp = Net::FTP->new($host) or die "Error connecting to $host: $!"; $ftp->login($username, $password) or die "Login failed: $!"; $ftp->cwd($ftpdir) or die "Can't go to $ftpdir: $!"; $ftp->get($file) or die "Can't get $file: $!"; sleep 5; $ftp->put($file) or die "Can't put $file: $!"; $ftp->quit or die "Error closing ftp connection: $!"; } if ($username == t14pmds_out) { $password = "test3"; $ftp = Net::FTP->new($host) or die "Error connecting to $host: $!"; $ftp->login($username, $password) or die "Login failed: $!"; $ftp->cwd($ftpdir) or die "Can't go to $ftpdir: $!"; $ftp->get($file) or die "Can't get $file: $!"; sleep 5; $ftp->put($file) or die "Can't put $file: $!"; $ftp->quit or die "Error closing ftp connection: $!"; } if ($username == t14fiserv) { $password = "test4"; $ftp = Net::FTP->new($host) or die "Error connecting to $host: $!"; $ftp->login($username, $password) or die "Login failed: $!"; $ftp->cwd($ftpdir) or die "Can't go to $ftpdir: $!"; $ftp->get($file) or die "Can't get $file: $!"; sleep 5; $ftp->put($file) or die "Can't put $file: $!"; $ftp->quit or die "Error closing ftp connection: $!"; }

  • Do you have suggestions for these assembly mnemonics?

    - by Noctis Skytower
    Greetings! Last semester in college, my teacher in the Computer Languages class taught us the esoteric language named Whitespace. In the interest of learning the language better with a very busy schedule (midterms), I wrote an interpreter and assembler in Python. An assembly language was designed to facilitate writing programs easily, and a sample program was written with the given assembly mnemonics. Now that it is summer, a new project has begun with the objective being to rewrite the interpreter and assembler for Whitespace 0.3, with further developments coming afterwards. Since there is so much extra time than before to work on its design, you are presented here with an outline that provides a revised set of mnemonics for the assembly language. This post is marked as a wiki for their discussion. Have you ever had any experience with assembly languages in the past? Were there some instructions that you thought should have been renamed to something different? Did you find yourself thinking outside the box and with a different paradigm than in which the mnemonics were named? If you can answer yes to any of those questions, you are most welcome here. Subjective answers are appreciated! Stack Manipulation (IMP: [Space]) Stack manipulation is one of the more common operations, hence the shortness of the IMP [Space]. There are four stack instructions. hold N Push the number onto the stack copy Duplicate the top item on the stack copy N Copy the nth item on the stack (given by the argument) onto the top of the stack swap Swap the top two items on the stack drop Discard the top item on the stack drop N Slide n items off the stack, keeping the top item Arithmetic (IMP: [Tab][Space]) Arithmetic commands operate on the top two items on the stack, and replace them with the result of the operation. The first item pushed is considered to be left of the operator. add Addition sub Subtraction mul Multiplication div Integer Division mod Modulo Heap Access (IMP: [Tab][Tab]) Heap access commands look at the stack to find the address of items to be stored or retrieved. To store an item, push the address then the value and run the store command. To retrieve an item, push the address and run the retrieve command, which will place the value stored in the location at the top of the stack. save Store load Retrieve Flow Control (IMP: [LF]) Flow control operations are also common. Subroutines are marked by labels, as well as the targets of conditional and unconditional jumps, by which loops can be implemented. Programs must be ended by means of [LF][LF][LF] so that the interpreter can exit cleanly. L: Mark a location in the program call L Call a subroutine goto L Jump unconditionally to a label if=0 L Jump to a label if the top of the stack is zero if<0 L Jump to a label if the top of the stack is negative return End a subroutine and transfer control back to the caller halt End the program I/O (IMP: [Tab][LF]) Finally, we need to be able to interact with the user. There are IO instructions for reading and writing numbers and individual characters. With these, string manipulation routines can be written. The read instructions take the heap address in which to store the result from the top of the stack. print chr Output the character at the top of the stack print int Output the number at the top of the stack input chr Read a character and place it in the location given by the top of the stack input int Read a number and place it in the location given by the top of the stack Question: How would you redesign, rewrite, or rename the previous mnemonics and for what reasons?

  • Why does Saxon evaluate the result-document URI to be the same?

    - by Jan
    My XSL source document looks like this <Topology> <Environment> <Id>test</Id> <Machines> <Machine> <Id>machine1</Id> <modules> <module>m1</module> <module>m2</module> </modules> </Machine> </Machines> </Environment> <Environment> <Id>production</Id> <Machines> <Machine> <Id>machine1</Id> <modules> <module>m1</module> <module>m2</module> </modules> </Machine> <Machine> <Id>machine2</Id> <modules> <module>m3</module> <module>m4</module> </modules> </Machine> </Machines> </Environment> </Topology> I want to create one result-document per machine, so I use the following stylesheet giving modelDir as path for the result-documents as parameter. <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes" name="myXML" doctype-system="http://java.sun.com/dtd/properties.dtd"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <xsl:for-each-group select="/Topology/Environment/Machines/Machine" group-by="Id"> <xsl:variable name="machine" select="Id"/> <xsl:variable name="filename" select="concat($modelDir,$machine,'.xml')" /> <xsl:message terminate="no">Writing machine description to <xsl:value-of select="$filename"/></xsl:message> <xsl:result-document href="$filename" format="myXML"> <xsl:variable name="currentMachine" select="Id"/> <xsl:for-each select="current-group()/LogicalHosts/LogicalHost"> <xsl:variable name="environment" select="normalize-space(../../../../Id)"/> <xsl:message terminate="no">Module <xsl:value-of select="."/> for <xsl:value-of select="$environment"/></xsl:message> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:result-document> </xsl:for-each-group> </xsl:template> As my messages show me this seems to work fine - if saxon would not evaluate the URI of the result-document to be the same and thus give the following output.   • Having a problem displaying data from last inserted data

    - by Gideon
    I'm designing a staff rota planner....have three tables Staff (Staff details), Event (Event details), and Job (JobId, JobDate, EventId (fk), StaffId (fk)). I need to display the last inserted job detail with the staff name. I've been at it for couple of hours and getting nowhere. Thanks for the help in advance. My code is the following: $eventId = $_POST['eventid']; $selectBox = $_POST['selectbox']; $timePeriod = $_POST['time']; $selectedDate = $_POST['date']; $count = count($selectBox); //constructing the staff selection if (empty($selectBox)) { echo "<p>You didn't select any member of staff to be assigned."; echo "<p><input type='button' value='Go Back' onClick='history.go(-1)'>"; } else { echo "<p> You selected ".$count. " staff for this show."; for ($i=0;$i<$count;$i++) { $selectId = $selectBox[$i]; //insert the details into the Job table in the database $insertJob = "INSERT INTO Job (JobDate, TimePeriod, EventId, StaffId) VALUES ('".$selectedDate."', '".$timePeriod."', ".$eventId.", ".$selectId.")"; $exeinsertJob = mysql_query($insertJob) or die (mysql_error()); } } //display the inserted job details $insertedlist = "SELECT Job.JobId, Staff.LastName, Staff.FirstName, Job.JobDate, Job.TimePeriod FROM Staff, Job WHERE Job.StaffId = Staff.StaffId AND Job.EventId = $eventId AND Job.JobDate = ".$selectedDate; $exeinsertlist = mysql_query($insertedlist) or die (mysql_error()); if ($exeinsertlist) { echo "<p><table cellspacing='1' cellpadding='3'>"; echo "<tr><th colspan=5> ".$eventname."</th></tr>"; echo "<tr><th>Job Id</th><th>Last Name</th> <th>First Name </th><th>Date</th><th>Hours</th></tr>"; while ($joblistarray = mysql_fetch_array($exeinsertlist)) { echo "<tr><td align=center>".$joblistarray['JobId']." </td><td align=center>".$joblistarray['LastName']."</td><td align=center>".$joblistarray['FirstName']." </td><td align=center>".$joblistarray['JobDate']." </td><td align=center>".$joblistarray['TimePeriod']."</td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; echo "<h3><a href=AssignStaff.php>Add More Staff?</a></h3>"; } else { echo "The Job list can not be displayed at this time.   • Why does this Quicksort work?

    - by IVlad
    I find this Quicksort partitioning approach confusing and wrong, yet it seems to work. I am referring to this pseudocode. Note: they also have a C implementation at the end of the article, but it's very different from their pseudocode, so I don't care about that. I have also written it in C like this, trying to stay true to the pseudocode as much as possible, even if that means doing some weird C stuff: #include <stdio.h> int partition(int a[], int p, int r) { int x = a[p]; int i = p - 1; int j = r + 1; while (1) { do j = j - 1; while (!(a[j] <= x)); do i = i + 1; while (!(a[i] >= x)); if (i < j) { int t = a[i]; a[i] = a[j]; a[j] = t; } else { for (i = 1; i <= a[0]; ++i) printf("%d ", a[i]); printf("- %d\n", j); return j; } } } int main() { int a[100] = //{8, 6,10,13,15,8,3,2,12}; {7, 7, 6, 2, 3, 8, 4, 1}; partition(a, 1, a[0]); return 0; } If you run this, you'll get the following output: 1 6 2 3 4 8 7 - 5 However, this is wrong, isn't it? Clearly a[5] does not have all the values before it lower than it, since a[2] = 6 > a[5] = 4. Not to mention that 7 is supposed to be the pivot (the initial a[p]) and yet its position is both incorrect and lost. The following partition algorithm is taken from wikipedia: int partition2(int a[], int p, int r) { int x = a[r]; int store = p; for (int i = p; i < r; ++i) { if (a[i] <= x) { int t = a[i]; a[i] = a[store]; a[store] = t; ++store; } } int t = a[r]; a[r] = a[store]; a[store] = t; for (int i = 1; i <= a[0]; ++i) printf("%d ", a[i]); printf("- %d\n", store); return store; } And produces this output: 1 6 2 3 8 4 7 - 1 Which is a correct result in my opinion: the pivot (a[r] = a[7]) has reached its final position. However, if I use the initial partitioning function in the following algorithm: void Quicksort(int a[], int p, int r) { if (p < r) { int q = partition(a, p, r); // initial partitioning function Quicksort(a, p, q); Quicksort(a, q + 1, r); // I'm pretty sure q + r was a typo, it doesn't work with q + r. } } ... it seems to be a correct sorting algorithm. I tested it out on a lot of random inputs, including all 0-1 arrays of length 20. I have also tried using this partition function for a selection algorithm, in which it failed to produce correct results. It seems to work and it's even very fast as part of the quicksort algorithm however. So my questions are: Can anyone post an example on which the algorithm DOESN'T work? If not, why does it work, since the partitioning part seems to be wrong? Is this another partitioning approach that I don't know about?

  • Resumable upload from Java client to Grails web application?

    - by dersteps
    After almost 2 workdays of Googling and trying several different possibilities I found throughout the web, I'm asking this question here, hoping that I might finally get an answer. First of all, here's what I want to do: I'm developing a client and a server application with the purpose of exchanging a lot of large files between multiple clients on a single server. The client is developed in pure Java (JDK 1.6), while the web application is done in Grails (2.0.0). As the purpose of the client is to allow users to exchange a lot of large files (usually about 2GB each), I have to implement it in a way, so that the uploads are resumable, i.e. the users are able to stop and resume uploads at any time. Here's what I did so far: I actually managed to do what I wanted to do and stream large files to the server while still being able to pause and resume uploads using raw sockets. I would send a regular request to the server (using Apache's HttpClient library) to get the server to send me a port that was free for me to use, then open a ServerSocket on the server and connect to that particular socket from the client. Here's the problem with that: Actually, there are at least two problems with that: I open those ports myself, so I have to manage open and used ports myself. This is quite error-prone. I actually circumvent Grails' ability to manage a huge amount of (concurrent) connections. Finally, here's what I'm supposed to do now and the problem: As the problems I mentioned above are unacceptable, I am now supposed to use Java's URLConnection/HttpURLConnection classes, while still sticking to Grails. Connecting to the server and sending simple requests is no problem at all, everything worked fine. The problems started when I tried to use the streams (the connection's OutputStream in the client and the request's InputStream in the server). Opening the client's OutputStream and writing data to it is as easy as it gets. But reading from the request's InputStream seems impossible to me, as that stream is always empty, as it seems. Example Code Here's an example of the server side (Groovy controller): def test() { InputStream inStream = request.inputStream if(inStream != null) { int read = 0; byte[] buffer = new byte[4096]; long total = 0; println "Start reading" while((read = inStream.read(buffer)) != -1) { println "Read " + read + " bytes from input stream buffer" //<-- this is NEVER called } println "Reading finished" println "Read a total of " + total + " bytes" // <-- 'total' will always be 0 (zero) } else { println "Input Stream is null" // <-- This is NEVER called } } This is what I did on the client side (Java class): public void connect() { final URL url = new URL("myserveraddress"); final byte[] message = "someMessage".getBytes(); // Any byte[] - will be a file one day HttpURLConnection connection = url.openConnection(); connection.setRequestMethod("GET"); // other methods - same result // Write message DataOutputStream out = new DataOutputStream(connection.getOutputStream()); out.writeBytes(message); out.flush(); out.close(); // Actually connect connection.connect(); // is this placed correctly? // Get response BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(connection.getInputStream())); String line = null; while((line = in.readLine()) != null) { System.out.println(line); // Prints the whole server response as expected } in.close(); } As I mentioned, the problem is that request.inputStream always yields an empty InputStream, so I am never able to read anything from it (of course). But as that is exactly what I'm trying to do (so I can stream the file to be uploaded to the server, read from the InputStream and save it to a file), this is rather disappointing. I tried different HTTP methods, different data payloads, and also rearranged the code over and over again, but did not seem to be able to solve the problem. What I hope to find I hope to find a solution to my problem, of course. Anything is highly appreciated: hints, code snippets, library suggestions and so on. Maybe I'm even having it all wrong and need to go in a totally different direction. So, how can I implement resumable file uploads for rather large (binary) files from a Java client to a Grails web application without manually opening ports on the server side?

  • Scala: Recursively building all pathes in a graph?

    - by DarqMoth
    Trying to build all existing paths for an udirected graph defined as a map of edges using the following algorithm: Start: with a given vertice A Find an edge (X.A, X.B) or (X.B, X.A), add this edge to path Find all edges Ys fpr which either (Y.C, Y.B) or (Y.B, Y.C) is true For each Ys: A=B, goto Start Providing edges are defined as the following map, where keys are tuples consisting of two vertices: val edges = Map( ("n1", "n2") -> "n1n2", ("n1", "n3") -> "n1n3", ("n3", "n4") -> "n3n4", ("n5", "n1") -> "n5n1", ("n5", "n4") -> "n5n4") As an output I need to get a list of ALL pathes where each path is a list of adjecent edges like this: val allPaths = List( List(("n1", "n2") -> "n1n2"), List(("n1", "n3") -> "n1n3", ("n3", "n4") -> "n3n4"), List(("n5", "n1") -> "n5n1"), List(("n5", "n4") -> "n5n4"), List(("n2", "n1") -> "n1n2", ("n1", "n3") -> "n1n3", ("n3", "n4") -> "n3n4", ("n5", "n4") -> "n5n4")) //... //... more pathes to go } Note: Edge XY = (x,y) - "xy" and YX = (y,x) - "yx" exist as one instance only, either as XY or YX So far I have managed to implement code that duplicates edges in the path, which is wrong and I can not find the error: object Graph2 { type Vertice = String type Edge = ((String, String), String) type Path = List[((String, String), String)] val edges = Map( //(("v1", "v2") , "v1v2"), (("v1", "v3") , "v1v3"), (("v3", "v4") , "v3v4") //(("v5", "v1") , "v5v1"), //(("v5", "v4") , "v5v4") ) def main(args: Array[String]): Unit = { val processedVerticies: Map[Vertice, Vertice] = Map() val processedEdges: Map[(Vertice, Vertice), (Vertice, Vertice)] = Map() val path: Path = List() println(buildPath(path, "v1", processedVerticies, processedEdges)) } /** * Builds path from connected by edges vertices starting from given vertice * Input: map of edges * Output: list of connected edges like: List(("n1", "n2") -> "n1n2"), List(("n1", "n3") -> "n1n3", ("n3", "n4") -> "n3n4"), List(("n5", "n1") -> "n5n1"), List(("n5", "n4") -> "n5n4"), List(("n2", "n1") -> "n1n2", ("n1", "n3") -> "n1n3", ("n3", "n4") -> "n3n4", ("n5", "n4") -> "n5n4")) */ def buildPath(path: Path, vertice: Vertice, processedVerticies: Map[Vertice, Vertice], processedEdges: Map[(Vertice, Vertice), (Vertice, Vertice)]): List[Path] = { println("V: " + vertice + " VM: " + processedVerticies + " EM: " + processedEdges) if (!processedVerticies.contains(vertice)) { val edges = children(vertice) println("Edges: " + edges) val x = edges.map(edge => { if (!processedEdges.contains(edge._1)) { addToPath(vertice, processedVerticies.++(Map(vertice -> vertice)), processedEdges, path, edge) } else { println("ALready have edge: "+edge+" Return path:"+path) path } }) val y = x.toList y } else { List(path) } } def addToPath( vertice: Vertice, processedVerticies: Map[Vertice, Vertice], processedEdges: Map[(Vertice, Vertice), (Vertice, Vertice)], path: Path, edge: Edge): Path = { val newPath: Path = path ::: List(edge) val key = edge._1 val nextVertice = neighbor(vertice, key) val x = buildPath (newPath, nextVertice, processedVerticies, processedEdges ++ (Map((vertice, nextVertice) -> (vertice, nextVertice))) ).flatten // need define buidPath type x } def children(vertice: Vertice) = { edges.filter(p => (p._1)._1 == vertice || (p._1)._2 == vertice) } def containsPair(x: (Vertice, Vertice), m: Map[(Vertice, Vertice), (Vertice, Vertice)]): Boolean = { m.contains((x._1, x._2)) || m.contains((x._2, x._1)) } def neighbor(vertice: String, key: (String, String)): String = key match { case (`vertice`, x) => x case (x, `vertice`) => x } } Running this results in: List(List(((v1,v3),v1v3), ((v1,v3),v1v3), ((v3,v4),v3v4))) Why is that?

  • Windows DD-esque implementation in Qt 5

    - by user1777667
    I'm trying to get into Qt and as a project I want to try and pull a binary image from a hard drive in Windows. This is what I have: QFile dsk("//./PhysicalDrive1"); dsk.open(QIODevice::ReadOnly); QByteArray readBytes = dsk.read(512); dsk.close(); QFile img("C:/out.bin"); img.open(QIODevice::WriteOnly); img.write(readBytes); img.close(); When I run it, it creates the file, but when I view it in a hex editor, it says: ëR.NTFS ..........ø..?.ÿ.€.......€.€.ÿç......UT..............ö.......ì§á.Íá.`....ú3ÀŽÐ¼.|ûhÀ...hf.ˈ...f.>..NTFSu.´A»ªUÍ.r..ûUªu.÷Á..u.éÝ..ƒì.h..´HŠ...‹ô..Í.ŸƒÄ.žX.rá;...uÛ£..Á.....Z3Û¹. +Èfÿ.......ŽÂÿ...èK.+Èwï¸.»Í.f#Àu-f.ûTCPAu$.ù..r..h.».hp..h..fSfSfU...h¸.fa..Í.3À¿(.¹Ø.üóªé_...f`..f¡..f.....fh....fP.Sh..h..´BŠ.....‹ôÍ.fY[ZfYfY..‚..fÿ.......ŽÂÿ...u¼..faàø.è.. û.è..ôëý´.‹ð¬<.t.´.»..Í.ëòÃ..A disk read error occurred...BOOTMGR is missing...BOOTMGR is compressed...Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart...Œ©¾Ö..Uª Is there a better way of doing this? I tried running it as admin, but still no dice. Any help would be much appreciated. Update: I changed the code a bit. Now if I specify a dd images as the input it writes the image perfectly, but when I try to use a disk as the input it only writes 0x00. QTextStream(stdout) << "Start\n"; QFile dsk("//./d:"); //QFile dsk("//./PhysicalDrive1"); //QFile dsk("//?/Device/Harddisk1/Partition0"); //QFile dsk("//./Volume{e988ffc3-3512-11e3-99d8-806e6f6e6963}"); //QFile dsk("//./Volume{04bbc7e2-a450-11e3-a9d9-902b34d5484f}"); //QFile dsk("C:/out_2.bin"); if (!dsk.open(QIODevice::ReadOnly)) qDebug() << "Failed to open:" << dsk.errorString(); qDebug() << "Size:" << dsk.size() << "\n"; // Blank out image file QFile img(dst); img.open(QIODevice::WriteOnly); img.write(0); img.close(); // Read and write operations while (!dsk.atEnd()) { QByteArray readBytes = dsk.readLine(); qDebug() << "Reading: " << readBytes.size() << "\n"; QFile img(dst); if (!img.open(QIODevice::Append)) qDebug() << "Failed to open:" << img.errorString(); img.write(readBytes); } QTextStream(stdout) << "End\n"; I guess the real problem I'm having is how to open a volume with QFile in Windows. I tried a few variants, but to no avail.

  • ZF: Form array field - how to display values in the view correctly

    - by Wojciech Fracz
    Let's say I have a Zend_Form form that has a few text fields, e.g: $form = new Zend_Form(); $form->addElement('text', 'name', array( 'required' => true, 'isArray' => true, 'filters' => array( /* ... */ ), 'validators' => array( /* ... */ ), )); $form->addElement('text', 'surname', array( 'required' => true, 'isArray' => true, 'filters' => array( /* ... */ ), 'validators' => array( /* ... */ ), )); After rendering it I have following HTML markup (simplified): <div id="people"> <div class="person"> <input type="text" name="name[]" /> <input type="text" name="surname[]" /> </div> </div> Now I want to have the ability to add as many people as I want. I create a "+" button that in Javascript appends next div.person to the container. Before I submit the form, I have for example 5 names and 5 surnames, posted to the server as arrays. Everything is fine unless somebody puts the value in the field that does not validate. Then the whole form validation fails and when I want to display the form again (with errors) I see the PHP Warning: htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given Which is more or less described in ticket: http://framework.zend.com/issues/browse/ZF-8112 However, I came up with a not-very-elegant solution. What I wanted to achieve: have all fields and values rendered again in the view have error messages only next to the fields that contained bad values Here is my solution (view script): <div id="people"> <?php $names = $form->name->getValue(); // will have an array here if the form were submitted $surnames= $form->surname->getValue(); // only if the form were submitted we need to validate fields' values // and display errors next to them; otherwise when user enter the page // and render the form for the first time - he would see Required validator // errors $needsValidation = is_array($names) || is_array($surnames); // print empty fields when the form is displayed the first time if(!is_array($names))$names= array(''); if(!is_array($surnames))$surnames= array(''); // display all fields! foreach($names as $index => $name): $surname = $surnames[$index]; // validate value if needed if($needsValidation){ $form->name->isValid($name); $form->surname->isValid($surname); } ?> <div class="person"> <?=$form->name->setValue($name); // display field with error if did not pass the validation ?> <?=$form->surname->setValue($surname);?> </div> <?php endforeach; ?> </div> The code work, but I want to know if there is an appropriate, more comfortable way to do this? I often hit this problem when there is a need for a more dynamic - multivalue forms and have not find better solution for a long time.

  • Retrieving information from DOM elements returned using ajax

    - by niczoom
    I am new(ish) to jQuery and am testing out the extraction of DOM element data using jQuery. Below, detailed on the firebug console I tried to extract data 10 different ways (from 1- to 10-) using data returned directly from the ajax request (rtnData). And then to compare, I wrapped (rtnData) in a div to make it a jQuery object, and stored it in $test, (var $test= $('<div/>').html(rtnData);) Displayed below in Firebug Console Output, I cant figure out is why 5- return's nothing and e- returns the center tag contents. Same with 8- and e-, they both look for #ticker div id but 8- returns nothing and e- returns the correct html?? Also when searching for h1 tag .text(), why does 10- return blank and j- return the correct data? Thanks, Nic. Use the following page to run the ajax request below in Firebug Console: http://www.liamharding.com/pgi/pgi.php jQuery code ran using Firebug Console: $.ajax({ url: 'pgiproxy.php', type: 'POST', dataType: 'html', data: ({ data : $("#formdata").serialize(), mode : "graph"}), success: function(rtnData){ console.log("0- ", rtnData); console.log("1- ", $('img', rtnData)); console.log("2- ", $('a', rtnData)); console.log("3- ", $('span.cr', rtnData)); console.log("4- ", $('span.cr', rtnData).html()); console.log("5- ", $('center', rtnData)); console.log("6- ", $('table', rtnData)); console.log("7- ", $('#ticker_data', rtnData)); console.log("8- ", $('#ticker', rtnData)); console.log("9- ", $('#last', rtnData)); console.log("10- ", $('h1', rtnData).text()); var $test= $('<div/>').html(rtnData); console.log("z- ", $test); console.log("a- ", $('img', $test)); console.log("b- ", $('a', $test)); console.log("c- ", $('span.cr', $test)); console.log("d- ", $('span.cr', $test).html()); console.log("e- ", $('center', $test)); console.log("f- ", $('table', $test)); console.log("g- ", $('#ticker_data', $test)); console.log("h- ", $('#ticker', $test)); console.log("i- ", $('#last', $test)); console.log("j- ", $('h1', $test).text()); }, error: function(){ alert('ERROR'); } }); Firebug Console Output: 1- jQuery(img#GnuPlotChart 624e4629...8946.gif) 2- jQuery(a.button javascri...eload();, a.button javascri...close();) 3- jQuery(span.cr) 4- <span class="tl"></span><span class="tr"></span><span class="bl"></span><span class="br"></span> 5- jQuery() 6- jQuery(table.rbox-table) 7- jQuery(div#ticker_data.rbox) 8- jQuery() 9- jQuery(th#last, td#last.num) 10- z- jQuery(div) a- jQuery(img#GnuPlotChart 624e4629...8946.gif) b- jQuery(a.button javascri...eload();, a.button javascri...close();) c- jQuery(span.cr) d- <span class="tl"></span><span class="tr"></span><span class="bl"></span><span class="br"></span> e- jQuery(center) f- jQuery(table.rbox-table, table) g- jQuery(div#ticker_data.rbox) h- jQuery(div#ticker) i- jQuery(th#last, td#last.num) j- Legacy Charts

  • Displaying unnecessary HTML when showing content from MySQL database.

    My homepage pulls in content from my MySQL database to create a blog. I've got it so that it only displays an extract from the posts.
