  • XML strings in JAXB

    - by OOO
    I have a JPA entity class mimicking a table. Something like this: @XmlType(name="MyClassElementType") public class MyClass { String name; String xmlDesc; public MyClass() {} @XmlElement String getName() { return name; } void setName(String name) { this.name = name; } @XmlElement String getXmlDesc() { return xmlDesc; } void setXmlDesc(String xmlDesc) { this.xmlDesc = xmlDesc; } } In a Jersey REST get call I'm trying to return this class: @Get @Produces("application/xml") public MyClass get() { return myClass; } Now I'm expecting the already xml string(xmlStr) to be returned as is, but Jersey/JAXB escapes it... So anyway around this?

  • Dependency Injection: How to maintain multiple configurations?

    - by Malax
    Hi StackOverflow, Lets assume we've build a system with a DI framework which is working quite fine. This system currently uses JMS to "talk" with other systems not maintained by us. The majority of our customers like the JMS approach and uses it according to our specification. The component which does all the messaging is injected with Spring into the rest of the application. Now we got the case that one customer cannot implement the JMS solution and want to use another messaging technology. Thats not a problem because we can simply implement a messaging service using this technology and inject it in the rest of the application. But how are we supposed to handle the deployment and maintenance of the configuration? Since the application uses Spring i could imagine to check in all the configurations i have for this application and the system administrator could start the application and passing the name of the DI XML file to specify which configuration should be loaded. But... it just don't feel right. Are there any solutions for such cases available? What are the best-practices you use? I could even imagine more complex scenarios which do not contain only one service substitution... Thanks a lot!

  • Add objects to Arraylist inside loop and get a list of them outside loops

    - by AgusDG
    Im already done with a method to do a shot on a board (bidimensional array). THe shot goes from the bottom to the top, and depending of the direction, it do bounces on the walls to get to the top. The thing is that I did the method to represent the trayectory with an 'x'. Now, I want to add the coordinates x and y of each position of the shot (b [x][y]) to and Arraylist of Objects Position. public Position(int row,int col) { this.row = row; this.col = col; } The thing is that the method uses a for loop and inside if loops, and I'll need to create the objects inside, and get them outside. I did that : public static ArrayList<Position> showTrayectory (char [][] b , int shotDirection, char bubble){ int row = 0, col = 0; ArrayList<Position> aListPos = new ArrayList<Position>(); Position positionsOfShot = new Position(row,col); START = ((RIGHT_WALL)/2) + shotDirection; boolean shotRight = false; if(shotDirection < 0) shotRight = false; else if(shotDirection > 0) shotRight = true; for(int y = BOTTOM,x = START ;y >= 0;y--) { if(!isOut(y,x) && !emptyCell(y,x)) break; if(x <= LEFT_WALL) shotRight = true; if(x >= RIGHT_WALL) shotRight = false; if(!isOut(y,x) && shotRight == true) { positionsOfShot = new Position(y,x); aListPos.add(positionsOfShot); b[y][x] = SHOT; ++x; } if(!isOut(y,x) && shotRight == false){ positionsOfShot = new Position(y,x); aListPos.add(positionsOfShot); b[y][x] = SHOT; --x; } } // The nested for loops below are for showing the positions // But I dont need it that way // I must get the trayectory from an ArrayList and print it from there for(int y=0;y < b.length;y++){ System.out.println(); for(int x=0;x < b[y].length;x++){ System.out.print(" "+b [y][x]+" "); } } System.out.println("\nTrayectory of the shot ["+shotDirection+"]"); System.out.println("Next bubble ["+bubble+"]"); for( Position ii : aListPos){ System.out.println("(" + positionsOfShot.getFila() + "," + positionsOfShot.getColumna()+")"); } return aListPos; } The sentence " b[y][x] = SHOT; " is still there, to see the proper trayectory of the shot (its not needed that way), but what I need, is getting the trayectory in an ArrayList, and print the trayectory from there. All that I get is a wrong position, and repeated during the number of positions the shot goes through. I need some help. I suppose the problem is that Im creating and adding Position Objects inside an ArrayList inside loops, but in a wrong way. I will need you to explain me how to do it properly ; ) Thanks in advance. I'll add the output for you see better what is that above haha *************************** y b y b g r b g o y g a a r y o y y r b y g r r o b o y y g b a r y r o a y y o o r r g r - - - x - - - - - - - - - x - - - - - - - - - x - - - - - - - - - x - - - - - - - - - x - - - - - - - - - x - - - - - - - x - - - - - - - x - - - - - - - x - - - Trayectory of the shot [1] Next bubble [y] (5,3) (5,3) (5,3) (5,3) (5,3) (5,3) (5,3) (5,3) (5,3) Action?

  • How do I get an imageview to rotate while translating in Android?

    - by Ravedave
    I am trying to make an imageview that rotates while sliding across the screen. I setup a rotate animation for 180 degrees, and it works by itself. I setup a translate animation and it works by itself. When I combine them I get an imageview that makes a big spiral. I would like the imageview to rotate around the center of the imageview while being translated. AnimationSet animSet = new AnimationSet(true); //Translate upwards and to the right. TranslateAnimation anim = new TranslateAnimation( Animation.ABSOLUTE, 0.0f, Animation.ABSOLUTE, +80.0f, Animation.ABSOLUTE, 0.0f, Animation.ABSOLUTE, -100.0f ); anim.setInterpolator(new DecelerateInterpolator()); anim.setDuration(400); animSet.addAnimation(anim); //Rotate around center of Imageview RotateAnimation ranim = new RotateAnimation(0f, 180f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_SELF, 0.5f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_SELF, 0.5f); //, 200, 200); // canvas.getWidth() / 2, canvas.getHeight() / 2); ranim.setDuration(400); ranim.setInterpolator(new DecelerateInterpolator()); animSet.addAnimation(ranim); imageBottom.startAnimation(animSet);

  • How to stream XML data using XOM?

    - by Jonik
    Say I want to output a huge set of search results, as XML, into a PrintWriter or an OutputStream, using XOM. The resulting XML would look like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <resultset> <result> [child elements and data] </result> ... ... [1000s of result elements more] </resultset> Because the resulting XML document could be big (tens or hundreds of megabytes, perhaps), I want to output it in a streaming fashion (instead of creating the whole Document in memory and then writing that). The granularity of outputting one <result> at a time is fine, so I want to generate one <result> after another, and write it into the stream. Assume there's already a method that helps with iterating the results and generating Element objects: public nu.xom.Element getNextResult(); So I'd simply like to do something like this pseudocode (automatic flushing enabled, so don't worry about that) : open stream/writer write declaration write start tag for <resultset> while more results: write next <result> element write end tag for <resultset> close stream/writer I've been looking at Serializer, but the necessary methods, writeStartTag(Element), writeEndTag(Element), write(DocType) are protected, not public! Is there no other way than to subclass Serializer to be able to use those methods, or to manually write the start and end tags directly into the stream as Strings, bypassing XOM altogether? (The latter wouldn't be too bad in this simple example, but in the general case it would get quite ugly.) Am I missing something or is XOM just not made for this? With dom4j I could do this easily using XMLWriter - it has constructors that take a Writer or OutputStream, and methods writeOpen(Element), writeClose(Element), writeDocType(DocumentType) etc. Compare to XOM's Serializer where the only public write method is the one that takes a whole Document. Please refrain from answering if you're not familiar with XOM! I specifically want to know if and how you can do this kind of streaming with that library. (This is related to my question about the best dom4j replacement where XOM is a strong contender.)

  • Is it possible to inject a bean into a spring form bean

    - by Mike
    I tried to do it 2 different ways, but neither way worked. @Component public class EmailForm{ ... private QuestionDAO questionDAO; ... @Autowired public void setQuestionDAO(QuestionDAO questionDAO) { this.questionDAO = questionDAO; } ... Another way: @Component public class EmailForm implements ApplicationContextAware { ... public void setApplicationContext(ApplicationContext applicationContext) throws BeansException { this.questionDAO = (QuestionDAO)applicationContext.getBean("questionDAO"); } ... Neither way results in questionDAO being injected Form bean is populated by spring: @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.POST) public String submit(@Valid final EmailForm emailForm, BindingResult result, final Model model) {

  • String Manipulation: Spliting Delimitted Data

    - by Milli Szabo
    I need to split some info from a asterisk delimitted data. Data Format: NAME*ADRESS LINE1*ADDRESS LINE2 Rules: 1. Name should be always present 2. Address Line 1 and 2 might not be 3. There should be always three asterisks. Samples: MR JONES A ORTEGA*ADDRESS 1*ADDRESS2* Name: MR JONES A ORTEGA Address Line1: ADDRESS 1 Address Line2: ADDRESS 2 A PAUL*ADDR1** Name: A PAUL Address Line1: ADDR1 Address Line2: Not Given My algo is: 1. Iterate through the characters in the line 2. Store all chars in a temp variables until first * is found. Reject the data if no char is found before first occurence of asterisk. If some chars found, use it as the name. 3. Same as step 2 for finding address line 1 and 2 except that this won't reject the data if no char is found My algo looks ugly. The code looks uglier. Spliting using //* doesn't work either since name can be replaced with address line 1 If the data is *Address 1*Address2, split will create two indexes in the array where index 0 will have the value of Address 1 and index 2 will have the value of Address2. Where's the name. Was there a name? Any suggestion?

  • Coding Conventions - Naming Enums

    - by Walter White
    Hi all, Is there a document describing how to name enumerations? My preference is that an enum is a type. So, for instance, you have an enum Fruit{Apple,Orange,Banana,Pear, ... } NetworkConnectionType{LAN,Data_3g,Data_4g, ... } I am opposed to naming it: FruitEnum NetworkConnectionTypeEnum I understand it is easy to pick off which files are enums, but then you would also have: NetworkConnectionClass FruitClass Also, is there a good document describing the same for constants, where to declare them, etc.? • understanding this regex

    - by DarthVader
    I m trying to understand what the following does. ^([^=]+)(?:(?:\\=)(.+))?$ Any ideas? This is being used here. Obviously it s command line parser but i m trying to understand the syntax so i can actually run the program. This is from commandline-jmxclient , they have no documents on setting JMX properties but in their source code, there is such an option, so i just want to understand how i can invoke that method. Matcher m = Client.CMD_LINE_ARGS_PATTERN.matcher(command); if ((m == null) || (!m.matches())) { throw new ParseException("Failed parse of " + command, 0); } this.cmd = m.group(1); if ((m.group(2) != null) && (m.group(2).length() > 0)) this.args = m.group(2).split(","); else this.args = null;

  • How to get url request parameter from inside LIferay/IceFaces/JSF portlet backing bean

    - by Negatizmo
    Is posible for a portlet to read a request parameter of its surrounding page? E.g. the URL of the page the portlet resides in is http://example.com/mygroup/mypage?foo=bar Is it possible to read the "foo" parameter from a portlet that is on that page? Portlet Container is Liferay 6.0.5. P.S. I have already tried: com.liferay.portal.util.PortalUtil.getOriginalServletRequest(com.liferay.portal.util.PortalUtil.getHttpServletRequest((javax.portlet.PortletRequest) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest())).getParameter("foo") but I always get null for productId Thanks!

  • Is it possible to build a JPA entity by extending a POJO?

    - by Freiheit
    Lets say I have the following POJO: public class MyThing { private int myNumber; private String myData; //assume getter/setter methods } Is it now possible to extend this POJO as a JPA entity? @Entity @Table(name = "my_thing") public class MyThingEntity extends MyThing implements Serializable { @Column(name = "my_number") //????????? @Column(name = "my_data") //???????? } I want to keep the POJO separate from the JPA entity. The POJO lives in a different project and is often used without a persistence layer, my project wants to persist it in a database and do so without the overhead of mapping from a POJO to an entity and back. I understand that JPA entities are POJOs, but in order to use it I would have to include a library that implements javax.persistence and the other projects using the same base object have no use for a persistence layer. Is this possible? Is this a good idea?

  • How to develop a Nightly Builder

    - by allenzzzxd
    Hello, I was told to create a tool like a Nightly Builder for a JUnit project. It's a client-server project with oracle database.The tests are based on QTP. Also there is a test interface written on C#. The tester can click on the interface to choose which tests to run and get a report from each test. So I have to make this procedure automated. So what tools should I use? Thanks in advance Best regards

  • Issues Deploying ROOT Context in Tomcat6

    - by Josh K
    I'm working on getting an application deployed to the ROOT ("/") context in my Tomcat 6 instance. Here's what has been done: Defined another virtual host (domain.com) Created the respective folder (/etc/tomcat6/Catalina/domain.com) Set it to auto deploy WAR's Set appBase to CATALINA_BASE/domainapps and created respective folder Copied manager.xml from localhost to domain.com. Now I'm trying to deploy into the ROOT context by uploading a ROOT.war to CATALINA_BASE/domainapps. This isn't working. I don't get any exceptions thrown, but the stock ROOT page ("It works !") stays up. I have successfully deployed it into another context (by uploading domainapp.war and viewing at /domainapp), but not ROOT. Re-reading the Virtual Host setup it makes reference to CATALINA_HOME and CATALINA_BASE. My CATALINA_HOME is at /usr/share/tomcat6/domainapp while CATALINA_BASE is /var/lib/tomcat6. Which should I be using for what? Currently haven't touched CATALINA_HOME but will try messing with a few things there. A better question might be what is the generally accepted flow taken to setup a new Tomcat instance and deploy an application to the root context.
