I looked at the information here: http://www.adobe.com/support/jrun/working_jrun/jrun4_jndi_and_j2ee_enc/jrun4_jndi_and_j2ee_enc03.html I have added this node to the web.xml: <env-entry> <description>Administrator e-mail address</description> <env-entry-name>adminemail</env-entry-name> <env-entry-value>[email protected]</env-entry-value> <env-entry-type>java.lang.String</env-entry-type> </env-entry> In coldfusion I have tried several different approaches to querying the data: <cfset ctx = createobject("java","javax.naming.InitialContext") > <cfset val = ctx.lookup("java:comp/env") > That lookup returns a jrun.naming.JRunNamingContext. If i preform a lookup on ctx for the specific binding I am adding I get an error. <cfset val = ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/adminemail") > No such binding: adminemail Preforming a listBindings returns an empty jrun.naming.JRunNamingEnumeration. <cfset val = ctx.listBindings("java:comp/env") > I only want to put a string value (probably several) into the ENC (or any JNDI directory at this point).

  • How to Perform Continues Iteration over Shared Dictionary in Multi-threaded Environment

    Dear Gurus. Note Pls do not tell me regarding alternative to custom session, Pls answer only relative to the Pattern Scenario I have Done Custom Session Management in my application(WCF Service) for this I have a Dictionary shared to all thread. When a specific function Gets called I add a New Session and Issue SessionId to the client so it can use that sessionId for rest of his calls until it calls another specific function, which terminates this session and removes the session from the Dictionary. Due to any reason Client may not call session terminator function so i have to implement time expiration logic so that i can remove all such sessions from the memory. For this I added a Timer Object which calls ClearExpiredSessions function after the specific period of time. which iterates on the dictionary. Problem: As this dictionary gets modified every time new client comes and leaves so i can't lock the whole dictionary while iterating over it. And if i do not lock the dictionary while iteration, if dictionary gets modified from other thread while iterating, Enumerator will throw exception on MoveNext(). So can anybody tell me what kind of Design i should follow in this case. Is there any standard pattern available.

    For example, take this code: $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url']."?get0=get0&get1=".$get1."&get2=".$get2."&get3=".$get3); This of course, looks very ugly, and kind of a pain in the ass to read. So my question is, would I be able to use something like this: $allgets ="?act=phptools&host=".$host."&time=".$duration."&port=".$port; $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url'] . $allgets); Very simple question I suppose, but my server is undergoing maintenance, so I can't upload it and test it myself. I suppose a yes or no answer will suffice, but if you have a more efficient way of doing this, that would be even better. :)

  • Behavior of local variables in JavaScripts with()-statement

    I noticed some weird (and to my knowledge undefined behavior, by the ECMA 3.0 Spec at least), take the following snippet: var foo = { bar: "1", baz: "2" }; alert(bar); with(foo) { alert(bar); alert(bar); } alert(bar); It crashes in both Firefox and Chrome, because "bar" doesn't exist in the first alert(); statement, this is as expected. But if you add a declaration of bar inside the with()-statement, so it looks like this: var foo = { bar: "1", baz: "2" }; alert(bar); with(foo) { alert(bar); var bar = "g2"; alert(bar); } alert(bar); It will produce the following: undefined, 1, g2, undefined It seems as if you create a variable inside a with()-statement most browsers (tested on Chrome or Firefox) will make that variable exist outside that scope also, it's just set to undefined. Now from my perspective bar should only exist inside the with()-statement, and if you make the example even weirder: var foo = { bar: "1", baz: "2" }; var zoo; alert(bar); with(foo) { alert(bar); var bar = "g2"; zoo = function() { return bar; } alert(bar); } alert(bar); alert(zoo()); It will produce this: undefined, 1, g2, undefined, g2 So the bar inside the with()-statement does not exist outside of it, yet the runtime somehow "automagically" creates a variable named bar that is undefined in its top level scope (global or function) but this variable does not refer to the same one as inside the with()-statement, and that variable will only exist if a with()-statement has a variable named bar that is defined inside it. Very weird, and inconsistent. Anyone have an explanation for this behavior? There is nothing in the ECMA Spec about this.

  • How do you reach a "flow" state while programming?

    I'm not talking about program flow, but as in the state of working called flow, the state where you can get great work done the most effectively. I find that my current work environment while good in many ways does not allow me to get into a good state of mind for writing code most of the time (my job includes many other functions). If it's critical to get something done I'll often put on head-phones with classical music and try to drown out the office noise around me (and discourage co-workings from asking me questions). I am best able to get work done late in the evening when the house is quite and I've been thinking about the project for most of the day. What tricks have you found when working in less then perfect office environments?

What should i do ?

    Hiya, I'm trying to generate Outlook event files for my events, doing so on the fly as and when someone requests it by pressing a link on the page. Here's what i've got so far, but I can't find out how to get the browser to download the content which is returned.     I am still using the old colon syntax (I prefer it more than the bracket syntax) and this particular code: a.button-link +box($main-color) +border-radius(5px) :background :color $main-color :color #fff :padding 5px generates a warning like so: DEPRECATION WARNING: On line 12, character 3 of '/Users/eumir/rails_apps/dxconnect/app/ stylesheets/partials/utilities/_link-styles.sass' Setting properties with = has been deprecated and will be removed in version 3.2. Use "background: $main-color" instead. I tried that but my background color still doesn't show up. Any help on this please? Thanks!

    I am very puzzled about this code: var closures = []; function create() { for (var i = 0; i < 5; i++) { closures[i] = function() { alert("i = " + i); }; } } function run() { for (var i = 0; i < 5; i++) { closures[i](); } } create(); run(); From my understanding it should print 0,1,2,3,4 (isn't this the concept of closures?). Instead it prints 5,5,5,5,5. I tried Rhino and Firefox. Could someone explain this behavior to me? Thx in advance.

    Hello, i often work on private projects using the WinApi, and as you might know, it has thousands of named and typedefed structs like MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION. I will stick to this one in my question, what still is preferred, or better when you want to name a variable of this type. Is there some kind of style guide for this case? For example if i need that variable for the VirtualQueryEx function. Some ideas: MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION memoryBasicInformation; MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION memory_basic_information; Just use the name of the struct non captialized and with or without the underlines. MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION basicInformation; MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION information; Short form? MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION mbi; I often see this style, using the abbreviation of the struct name. MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION buffer; VirtualQueryEx defines the third parameter lpBuffer (where you pass the pointer to the struct), so using this name might be an idea, too. Cheers

    I am using ntheorem to typeset a set of conditions. In my preamble I have: \theoremstyle{empty} \newtheorem{Condtion}{Condtion} When I want to typeset a condition, I write: \begin{Condtion}[name] \label{cnd:nm} foo foo foo \end{Condition} The name appears boldface on the same line as the start of the text of the condition, with no number or anything. Perfect. What I want to do now is refer to the condition by some variant of the \ref command, \ref calls the number [which is not displayed anywhere else] \thref writes "Condition n" for the nth condition \nameref writes the name of the SECTION of the label. a zref solution was suggested here, but seems unsatisfactory. Any clues?

Inside the HTML that calls this JavaScript code I find myself in need of knowing if a certain function from helpers.js has been called. I have attempted to create a global variable by defining: var myFunctionTag = true; In global scope both in my HTML code and in helpers.js.
