    Hi, How can I download a pdf and store to disk using vb.net or c#? The url (of the pdf) has some rediection going on before the final pdf is reached.     A Page.PreRender event is guaranteed to be fired after Page.Load event is fired. But is it guaranteed to be fired after Load event handler returned? A more general question is if event lifecycle of ASP.Net page guarantees that each event is fired only after previous has returned or events can be fired while previous is still executing? How does answer change if previous event fires some custom event such as DataBound? Can such event be executed in parallel with another event in page lifecycle?

    I'm using Visual studio 2005, ASP.NET and C#. I want to use menu bars which have an active look to them when their respective target page is the one currently showing. Imagine a user clicks a menu item, navigation to the target page occurs and the menu item they selected is now differing, in say, color to that of the other items in the menu as a means to indicate this is the currently active location. How might one achieve this?

  • Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException in IE6

    I have a problem with UpdatePanels and IE6. ( Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException ) The version of .NET is 2.0. The strange thing is that if i open Fiddler to capture the requests, IE6 starts working ok!.. If i close Fiddler, then IE6 starts to report the problem. The problem is that i can't see the request because when Fiddler is monitoring, the error stops appearing. Any suggestions ? Thanks

They gone have jquery and be surrounded by a div like <div><img/></div> I'm relatively new on MVC so I'm not sure what ways are the best to work in it yet. Should I do a ImageHelper so i can access it like <% Html.ImageJquery() %> or should i just do it plain in the view what are your thoughts on this?

    I have a situation. I have a label in ASP.NET 2.0(C#). The label should display a dutch language text that is "Sähköpostiosoite", I tried setting the Label.Text both from markup and code-behind but what I see in the browser response is "Sähköpostiosoite". Originally assigned string "Sähköpostiosoite" get replaced with "Sähköpostiosoite". I have no idea why this happens can you please help me diagnose the problem ??
