  • IE GIF/PNG Transparency issue with jQuery

    - by Andrew
Ok, this is pretty weird... Here's the page in question: http://s289116086.onlinehome.us/lawjournaltv/index.php The main blue callout background was originally a PNG, but when I applied some jQuery trickery to it (click the numbers in the top right to see what I mean), an ugly white border appeared where the transparency should be. See this screenshot from IE8: http://skitch.com/darkdriving/n62bu/windows-xp-professional I figured I could sacrifice the quality/flexibility of a PNG and just resaved each of the backgrounds as GIFs and set the matte color to white (for now). Well, I was proven wrong because IE is treating the GIF transparency the same as the original PNGs. I've read here that the issue with PNGs, Javascript, and IE has something to do with multiple filters can't be applied to one image, but shouldn't GIFs be exempt from this because they lack the Alpha Channel? Is there any way to make this page look similar in IE to Firefox or Webkit browsers? Thanks in advance!

  • uploadify and absolute filepaths ?

    - by Haroldo
can anyone with experience of the plugin see anything I'm doing wrong? var SITE_ROOT = 'http://localhost/hf_latest_desktop/'; $("#uploadify").uploadify({ 'uploader' : SITE_ROOT+'st_wd_assets/js/uploadify/scripts/uploadify.swf', 'script' : SITE_ROOT+'st_wd_assets/js/uploadify/scripts/uploadify.php', 'cancelImg' : SITE_ROOT+'st_wd_assets/js/uploadify/cancel.png', 'folder' : SITE_ROOT+'res/img/temp', 'auto' : true, 'multi' : false, 'buttonImg' : SITE_ROOT+'st_wd_assets/img/uploadify-button.png' }); it loads in the swf fine (can see it in firebug), however the upload button does not show and there is no functionality? edit: it looks like it could be something to do with it encoding the " : " entity in the absolute paths for example examining the .swf it the attributed are encoded ie: &buttonImg=http%3A//localhost/hf_latest_desktop/st_wd_assets/img/uploadify-button.png

  • Validating SSL clients using a list of authorised certificates instead of a Certificate Authority

    - by Gavin Brown
Is it possible to configure Apache (or any other SSL-aware server) to only accept connections from clients presenting a certificate from a pre-defined list? These certificates may be signed by any CA (and may be self-signed). A while back I tried to get client certificate validation working in the EPP system of the domain registry I work for. The EPP protocol spec mandates use of "mutual strong client-server authentication". In practice, this means that both the client and the server must validate the certificate of the other peer in the session. We created a private certificate authority and asked registrars to submit CSRs, which we then signed. This seemed to us to be the simplest solution, but many of our registrars objected: they were used to obtaining a client certificate from a CA, and submitting that certificate to the registry. So we had to scrap the system. I have been trying to find a way of implementing this system in our server, which is based on the mod_epp module for Apache.

  • Jquery JQGrid breaks when contentType=application/json?

    - by JK
I've had to use $.ajaxSetup() to globally change the contentType to application/json $.ajaxSetup({ contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8" }); (See this question for why I had to use application/json http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2792603/aspnet-mvc-why-is-modelstate-isvalid-false-the-x-field-is-required-when-that) But this breaks the jquery jqrid with this error: Invalid JSON primitive: _search The POST data it is trying to send is: _search=false&nd=1274042681880&rows=20&page=1&sidx=&sord=asc Which of is not in json format, so of course it fails. Is there anyway to tell jqrid what contenttype to use? I have searched on the jqrid wiki, but doesn't have much documentation about anything really. http://www.trirand.com/jqgridwiki/doku.php?do=search&id=contenttype&fulltext=Search

  • WPF Formatting Issues - Automatically stretching and resizing?

    - by Adam S
    I'm very new to WPF and XAML. I am trying to design a basic data entry form. I have used a stack panel holding four more stack panels to get the layout I want. Perhaps a grid would be better for this, I am not sure. Here is an image of my form in action: http://yfrog.com/7gscreenshot1impp And here is the XAML code that generates it: <Window x:Class="Test1.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Window1" Height="224" Width="536.762"> <StackPanel Height="Auto" Name="stackPanel1" Width="Auto" Orientation="Horizontal"> <StackPanel Height="Auto" Name="stackPanel2" Width="Auto"> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label1" Width="Auto">Patient Name:</Label> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label2" Width="Auto">Physician:</Label> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label3" Width="Auto">Insurance:</Label> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label4" Width="Auto">Therapy Goals:</Label> </StackPanel> <StackPanel Height="Auto" Name="stackPanel3" Width="Auto"> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox1" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox2" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox3" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox4" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> </StackPanel> <StackPanel Height="Auto" Name="stackPanel4" Width="Auto"> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label5" Width="Auto">Date:</Label> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label6" Width="Auto">Patient Phone:</Label> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label7" Width="Auto">Facility:</Label> <Label Height="Auto" Name="label8" Width="Auto">Referring Physician:</Label> </StackPanel> <StackPanel Height="Auto" Name="stackPanel5" Width="Auto"> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox5" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox6" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox7" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> <TextBox Height="Auto" Name="textBox8" Width="Auto" Padding="3" Margin="1" /> </StackPanel> </StackPanel> </Window> What I really want is for the text boxes to stretch equally to fill up the space horizontally. I would also like for the controls in each vertical stackpanel to 'spread out' evenly as the window is resized vertically. Can any of you experts out there help me out?

  • Emails forwarded via postfix get flagged as spam and forged in Gmail

    - by Kendall Hopkins
I'm trying to setup a forwarding only email server. I'm running into the problem where all messages forwarded via postfix are getting put into gmail's spam folder and getting flagged as forged. • Draw underlined / strikethrough text ( MULTILINE STRING ) ?

    - by Madhup
Hi, I have to draw underlined-multiline text with all types of text alignment. I have searched on forums and got some results like: http://davidjhinson.wordpress.com/2009/11/26/underline-text-on-the-iphone/ http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=561572 But all draw text for single line only. while i have multi-line text. The situation even become worse when the text alignment is centered. I searched and found that in iphone-sdk-3.2 there are some core-text attributes for underlining a text but no idea how to use that. Besides if I use these my problem would not be solved fully. As I have to draw strikethrough text also. Anybody having idea about this please help.

  • Creating Tables and Retrieving Query results with Dynamics AX 2009 business connector

    - by namenlos
I'm writing a C# command line tool to fetch data from AX and to add data (create new tables) to AX. Fetching data from an AX table is easy and documented here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197126.aspx Adding data to an existing table is also easy: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa868997.aspx But I cannot figure out how to do two things: Create a new AX Table Retrieve data from an AX Query Can someone please share some sample code or give some pointers on where to start looking. My searches on Google and MSDN have not revealed much. NOTE: I am not an experienced AX or ERP developer.

  • If I build a solution in C#, how do I add a database to the final program?

    - by DevX
Apologies if this is a very basic question, but I am preparing to create an executable for a Visual Studio C# Application. (My first time!) My application uses a database that I'm currently storing in SQL Server. This works fine while I'm coding since I created the database manually on my computer. I see that VS2008 has created an .exe in my bin/debug folder, but how do I ensure that any new users (that doesn't already have the database) doing a fresh install gets the database also?

  • How to access SVG elements with Javascript

    I'm messing around with SVG and I was hoping I could create SVG files in Illustrator and access elements with Javascript. Here's the SVG file Illustrator kicks out (It also seems to add a load of junk to the beginning of the file that I've removed) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!DOCTYPE svg PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD SVG 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/1.1/DTD/svg11.dtd"> <svg version="1.1" id="Layer_1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" x="0px" y="0px" width="276.843px" height="233.242px" viewBox="0 0 276.843 233.242" enable-background="new 0 0 276.843 233.242" xml:space="preserve"> <path id="delta" fill="#231F20" d="M34.074,86.094L0,185.354l44.444,38.519l80.741-0.74l29.63-25.186l-26.667-37.037 c0,0-34.815-5.926-37.778-6.667s-13.333-28.889-13.333-28.889l7.407-18.519l31.111-2.963l5.926-21.481l-12.593-38.519l-43.704-5.185 L34.074,86.094z"/> <path id="cargo" fill="#DFB800" d="M68.148,32.761l43.704,4.445l14.815,42.963l-7.407,26.667l-33.333,2.963l-4.444,14.074 l54.074-1.481l22.222,36.296l25.926-3.704l25.926-54.074c0,0-19.259-47.408-21.481-47.408s-31.852-0.741-31.852-0.741 l-19.259-39.259L92.593,8.316L68.148,32.761z"/> <polygon id="beta" fill="#35FF1F" points="86.722,128.316 134.593,124.613 158.296,163.872 190.889,155.724 214.593,100.909 194.593,52.02 227.186,49.057 246.444,92.02 238.297,140.909 216.074,172.761 197.556,188.316 179.778,169.798 164.963,174.983 163.481,197.946 156.815,197.946 134.593,159.428 94.593,151.279 "/> <path class="monkey" id="alpha" fill="#FD00FF" d="M96.315,4.354l42.963,5.185l18.519,42.222l71.852-8.148l20.74,46.667l-5.926,52.593 l-24.444,34.074l-25.185,15.555l-14.074-19.259l-8.889,2.964l-1.481,22.222l-14.074,2.963l-25.186,22.963l-74.074,4.444 l101.481,4.444c0,0,96.297-17.777,109.63-71.852S282.24,53.983,250.389,20.65S96.315,4.354,96.315,4.354z"/> </svg> As you can probably see, each element has an ID, and I was hoping to be able to access individual elements with Javascript so I could change the Fill attribute and respond to events such as click. The HTML is bog basic <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>SVG Illustrator Test</title> </head> <body> <object data="alpha.svg" type="image/svg+xml" id="alphasvg" width="100%" height="100%"></object> </body> </html> I guess this is two questions really. a) Is it possible to do it this way, as opposed to using something like Raphael or jQuery SVG. b) If it is possible, what's the technique?

The code is like: @ContextConfiguration(locations={"test-context.xml"}) public class AppTest extends AbstractTestNGSpringContextTests { @Test public void testApp() { assert true; } } A test-context.xml simply defined a bean: <bean id="app" class="org.sonatype.mavenbook.simple.App"/> I got error for Failed to load ApplicationContext when running mvn test from command line, seems it cannot find the test-context.xml file; however, I can get it run correctly inside Eclipse (with TestNg plugin). So, test-context.xml is under src/test/resources/, how do I indicate this in the pom.xml so that 'mvn test' command will work? Thanks, UPDATE: Thanks for the reply. Cannot load context file error was caused by I moved the file arround in different location since I though the classpath was the problem. Now I found the context file seems loaded from the Maven output, but the test is failed: Running TestSuite May 25, 2010 9:55:13 AM org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionReader loadBeanDefinitions INFO: Loading XML bean definitions from class path resource [test-context.xml] May 25, 2010 9:55:13 AM org.springframework.context.support.AbstractApplicationContext prepareRefresh INFO: Refreshing org.springframework.context.support.GenericApplicationContext@171bbc9: display name [org.springframework.context.support.GenericApplicationContext@171bbc9]; startup date [Tue May 25 09:55:13 PDT 2010]; root of context hierarchy May 25, 2010 9:55:13 AM org.springframework.context.support.AbstractApplicationContext obtainFreshBeanFactory INFO: Bean factory for application context [org.springframework.context.support.GenericApplicationContext@171bbc9]: org.springframework.beans.factory.support.DefaultListableBeanFactory@1df8b99 May 25, 2010 9:55:13 AM org.springframework.beans.factory.support.DefaultListableBeanFactory preInstantiateSingletons INFO: Pre-instantiating singletons in org.springframework.beans.factory.support.DefaultListableBeanFactory@1df8b99: defining beans [app,org.springframework.context.annotation.internalCommonAnnotationProcessor,org.springframework.context.annotation.internalAutowiredAnnotationProcessor,org.springframework.context.annotation.internalRequiredAnnotationProcessor]; root of factory hierarchy Tests run: 3, Failures: 2, Errors: 0, Skipped: 1, Time elapsed: 0.63 sec If I use spring-test version 3.0.2.RELEASE, the error becomes: org.springframework.test.context.testng.AbstractTestNGSpringContextTests.springTestContextPrepareTestInstance() is depending on nonexistent method null Here is the structure of the project: simple |-- pom.xml `-- src |-- main | `-- java `-- test |-- java `-- resources |-- test-context.xml `-- testng.xml testng.xml: <suite name="Suite" parallel="false"> <test name="Test"> <classes> <class name="org.sonatype.mavenbook.simple.AppTest"/> </classes> </test> </suite> test-context.xml: <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-2.0.xsd" default-lazy-init="true"> <bean id="app" class="org.sonatype.mavenbook.simple.App"/> </beans> In the pom.xml, I add testng, spring, and spring-test artifacts, and plugin: <dependency> <groupId>org.testng</groupId> <artifactId>testng</artifactId> <version>5.1</version> <classifier>jdk15</classifier> <scope>test</scope> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.springframework</groupId> <artifactId>spring</artifactId> <version>2.5.6</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.springframework</groupId> <artifactId>spring-test</artifactId> <version>2.5.6</version> <scope>test</scope> </dependency> <build> <finalName>simple</finalName> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <source>1.6</source> <target>1.6</target> </configuration> </plugin> <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <suiteXmlFiles> <suiteXmlFile>src/test/resources/testng.xml</suiteXmlFile> </suiteXmlFiles> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> Basically, I replaced 'A Simple Maven Project' Junit with TestNg, hope it works.

  • Urlrewriting.net pages are not causing postbacks

    - by Nick
I'm using webforms with UrlRewriting.Net to rewrite pages, e.g. http://www.example.com/stuff.aspx?c=30 becomes http://www.example.com/stuff/30-this-stuff.aspx. It works in so far as the correct content is loading; however, none of the postbacks are working (mostly buttons on the page). If I set up a breakpoint on Page_Load, I see that IsPostBack is always false. Any ideas on how to fix this? Right now I'm just on Visual Studio 2008. EDIT: I have since switched to UrlRewriter.Net, which worked after a few tweaks (see Scott Gu's article). Besides here, I have posted my original problem to the developer's forum: if I ever get an answer, I'll post it here (unless else posts it here first).

  • IE dropdown z-index bug

    - by Justine
I'm having a problem with a dropdown menu under IE (6 and 7). http://www.amaconsulting.pl/promocje.html As you can see, the dropdown hides behind the main content area in IE. It's a known bug and general advice is to set a z-index for header and content areas, so IE knows their "place", explained in the article here: http://bit.ly/coSPcI I've set the z-index of .header div to 20 and .featured, .content, .primary, .main to 1, trying to find the right div to fix the problem. While the dropdown stopped hiding behind the .featured div, it still hides behind the main content divs (either .primary or .main, .secondary is fine). The z-indexes for these divs are set in a separate stylesheet, ie.css, in case someone'll be looking for them. If someone could provide some advice, I'd be very grateful.

  • Problem with cvCreateVideoWriter in OpenCv. Again )

    - by lyuba
I know, that the issue had been widely discussed before, but after 5 hours of inefficient googling I guess I deserve to ask :) By the way, all such problems concerned earlier versions of OpenCV, so.. I've compiled fresh OpenCV 2.1. from source under Ubuntu 9.10. It works fine except of cvCreateVideoWriter, which returns null to the following request: CvVideoWriter *writer = cvCreateVideoWriter("video.avi", CV_FOURCC('M','J','P','G'), fps, size, 0); I've walked through the OpenCv folders - it even seems to have ffmpeg inside. I've also installed it on the system to make sure. I've changed CV_FOURCC('M','J','P','G') to -1 - all worthless. I would appreciate your help soo much! P.S. I've also explored some new way for writing videos here: http://opencv.willowgarage.com/documentation/cpp/reading_and_writing_images_and_video.html#videowriter But it fails to work as well, showing the mistake: error: no match for ‘operator>>’ in ‘writer >> frame’ My code is here: http://pastie.org/984734

  • No endpoint mapping found for..., using SpringWS, JaxB Marshaller

" + (request == null ? "yes" : "no")); return null; } } I am pretty much new to WebServices, and not very comfortable with annotations. I am following a tutorial on setting up jaxb marshaller in springws. I would rather use xml mappings than annotations, although for now I am getting the error message.

  • Need Help with Jquery TableSorter Pager plugin.

    - by chobo2
Hi I am using the tablesorter plugin: http://tablesorter.com/docs/ with jquery 1.4.2 Now my problem is this. The user can dynamically add rows to the table. But this seems to mess up the paging. Like first it gets added to the first "page" of rows but if you would go to the second page and you go back to the first page. You newly record is gone. I don't know where it goes but it is just gone. I tried to do this $('#pagerid').unbind('click'); $('#tbl tbody ').append(response.HtmlRow); $('#tbl').trigger('update'); So I tried to unbind the pager click method and do a trigger update but that does not seem to work. I then tried to add this line after the above 3 lines. $('#tbl').tablesorterPager({ container: $('#pagerid') }); but it seems to do nothing too. http://tablesorter.com/docs/example-pager.html

  • How do I copy the layout from a header of a JTabbedPane onto a JPanel?

    - by Snail
I have created a "CollapsingPanel"class/sort of a JTabbedPane (code skeleton can be found at http://www.coderanch.com/t/341737/Swing-AWT-SWT-JFace/java/Expand-Collapse-Panels). It is in other words a lot of headers which you click on to show a hidden Panel. At the moment these header-panels are a rectangular box with a LineBorder around them. That is ugly! I'm wondering if there is a way to copy the layout that the JTabbedPane uses for its headers/titles (which is inhierted from Look&Feel I assume) and use it on my JPanel-based headers? So that my headers get a smooth look which is in line with the rest of the program (based on Look&Feel!) instead of looking like alien flat blocks. Illustrated below with the headers nicely circled in green ;) I want to apply the header-look from 2nd picture over the red header JPanel in picture 1: Picture 1: hxxp://img7.imageshack.us/img7/2319/34158982.png - change to http, I got <10 rep :( Pictrue 2: hxxp://img46.imageshack.us/img46/2572/jtabpane.png

  • How to access uploaded files in Ruby

    - by Jeff King
I am trying use a Java Uploader in a ROR app (for its ease of uploading entire directories). The selected uploader comes with some PHP code that saves the files to the server. I am trying to translate this code to Ruby, but am stumped on this point: PHP has a very convenient superglobal – $_FILES – that contains a hash of all files uploaded to the current script via the HTTP POST method. It appears Ruby does not have a similar resource. Lacking that, what is the best way to access and save the uploaded files? I am using the JavaPowUpload uploader ( http://www.element-it.com/OnlineHelpJavaPowUpload/index.html ).

  • A help system for a PHP web app

    - by Dave
Hi, As our new web app gets more complicated, so the need for help docs increases. I am not talking about documenting code, I am literally talking about application help. So myapp/help, or for example, enabling context help from a particular point in the app with a link such as myapp/help/users/create/ etc. Are there apps out there for doing this? For example, Wufoo use wordpress for http://wufoo.com/docs/ which I like (and understand wp, so its a nice solution), and Xero have a lovely ASPX http://help.xero.com/ interface. But I'm thinking there might be more dedicated implementations for what I'm looking for. We're on a linux, apache, postgresql, php stack, but a mysql supported installation is not the end of the world. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? It's a bit of a minefield when googling php + help + system.

  • Getting started with zxing on android

    - by amitlicht
Hi I'm trying to add zxing to my project (add a button which calls the scanner upon press). I found this: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/788eb52a765c28b5 and of course the zxing homesite: http://code.google.com/p/zxing/, but still couldn't figure out what to include in the project classpath to make it all work! as for now, I copied the classes in the first link to my project (with some package name changes), and it runs but crashes after pressing the button and trying to install the barcode scanner. some code: private void setScanButton(){ Button scan = (Button) findViewById(R.id.MainPageScanButton); scan.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { IntentIntegrator.initiateScan(MyActivity.this); } }); } resulting error (from logcat): 06-13 15:26:01.540: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(1423): Uncaught handler: thread main exiting due to uncaught exception 06-13 15:26:01.560: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(1423): android.content.ActivityNotFoundException: No Activity found to handle Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=market://search?q=pname:com.google.zxing.client.android } Ideas?

  • Deleting blog post using Blogger API, Javascript and Prototype

    - by Mikhail
Hello, everyone! I'm trying to delete a blog post on blogger.com using Blogger API via Prototype Javascript library. Here's my code: var request = new Ajax.Request( 'http://www.blogger.com/feeds/'+remoteBlogId+'/posts/default/'+postId { method:'DELETE', requestHeaders:['Authorization', 'GoogleLogin auth='+authKey], on200:function(){/*onSuccess*/}, onFailure:function(){/*onFailure*/} } ); As far as I can see from API description, everything's alright, but when I run this, it fires onSuccess function, but doesn't delete the entry on the server. I guess that Prototype doesn't work well with HTTP methods other than GET and POST (here's the ticket describing similar problem though proposed patch didn't work for me) Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance, Mikhail.
