    I am making an application in which every user have to sign in first and then he can access his home page.Now on home page i have given a option of uploading image.Now if user is uploading one image i am storing the full path of uploaded image into database and from there i can display image easily by img tag... But what should i do when user want to upload many images.Then how i should store their full paths in database for same user.Give me an idea just like orkut or facebook.Should i amade a differnt table named images and i should store images in differnt rows with same username..Plz explain what showuld i do..I dont know the logic what showild i do...How i can upload many images and how i can store thri path and what will be the wisest method and how to display many images on one page(i can display one )

    Hi, My program follows a iterative map/reduce approach. And it needs to stop if certain conditions are met. Is there anyway i can set a global variable that can be distributed across all map/reduce tasks and check if the global variable reaches the condition for completion. Something like this.   • XMLHttpRequest request is resultin in ReadyState 4 and status is 200.

    I am trying to make a XMLHttpRequest Request to a content which is on local, runnin on local webserver from a HTML File and javascript residing locally. it will hit the webserver request, and then even thou it sends the data back, in my javscript, at once I get readyState 4 and status as 0. If i try putting the pages in the webserver foloder and access them as webpage slke http;//localhost/ filename then it works fine.

  • How can I allocate 8 GB ( not 1 GB ) RAM to my JDK on windows

    JDK on Windows takes max around 2 GB RAM. Even if we allocate more RAM to our JDK; it doesnt take it. If I need to run a process which need 8 GB RAM on Windows; how can I achieve it ? Do we have any JDK provided by any other provider which could support it ? Memcached provides us additional cache which can be used... but that is not I am looking for. Suppose I need to run my jMeter with 8 GB RAM on my windows box; Memcached wont help for sure.. Is there any provider which provides me with this ? Previosly I thought Terracotta does that; but looks like that also is like Memcached. I am using Windows 7. If needed I can use Windows Server also.. I just need to get it running.

    All, We are using SQL Server 2008 with Collation Setting as 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS'. We are using Varchar column to store textual data. We know that we cannot store Double Byte data in Varchar column and hence cannot support languages like Japanese and Chinese without converting it to NVarchar. However, will it be safe to say that all Single Byte Characters can be stored in Varchar column without any problem? If yes then from where can I get the list of languages which needs Single Byte for storage and the list of languages which needs double byte? Any assistance in this regard is highly appreciated.     I came across Websockify [1] and the accompanying Websock client-side javascript library. AIUI from the Wrap a Programsection in README, Websockify can help you launch a TCP server and rebind its port so that incoming Websockets-based communication is parsed and forwarded to the server on the proper (rebinded) port. My question is, can this mechanism be used to wrap a server that forks its children which in turn communicate with the client on a different port. Specifically, I am interested in websockifying a Postgres server, which typically listens on port 5432 and for a new incoming connection it forks a child which serves all future request from that client.   • Timer or Thread?

    I have a method(say method1) that writes to database(sqlserver)and another method(say method2) that tries to access the same database after some time and updates the data row that was created by method1. The problem arises when method1 fails to access db due to the LAN being disconnected (this is not an exception this is a scenario that will definitely arise in my software, getting into details will make the question too complex) if method1 fails to access db method2 cannot work. What I want to do is to make method1 store values to local db instead of server if the LAN is disconnected and as soon as it enters value in local db the application should start trying to access the server after ever 10-15 seconds. What should I use timer or create a new thread?
