    I have the following <asp:gridview> with one one TemplateField. En each cell there is an image with a link and a text with a link. If the ID is not assigned, explicitly set the ID property of controls that raise postback events to avoid this error. So the pager does not work correctly. I think it's because of the Image's Id that has to be generated dinamically but i don't know how to do it. Can someone help me?

  • Find out CRC or CHECKSUM of RS232 data

    I need to communicate with a RS232 device, I have no specs or information available. I send a 16 byte command and get a 16 byte result back. The last byte looks like some kind of crc or checksum, I have tried using this http://miscel.dk/MiscEl/miscelCRCandChecksum.html with no luck.   • Why doesn't genstrings convert NSLocalizedStringFromTable entries to table.strings?

    In my source code I have some lines like NSLocalizedStringFromTable(@"Info", @"en", @"Title of this view"). When I subsequently call genstrings -o en.lproj ./Classes/*.m I would not get the expected file en.strings but Localized.strings, although I've read in the genstrings-manpage that it would generate a table.strings file from NSLocalizedStringFromTable(a, table, c) function. Am I wrong? How would I create a table.strings file then?

  • How to avoid this very heavy query that slows down the application?

    Hi, We have a web application running in a production enviroment and at some point the client complained about how slow the application got. When we checked what was going on with the application and the database we discover this "precious" query that was being executed by several users at the same time (thus inflicting an extremely high load on the database server): SELECT NULL AS table_cat, o.owner AS table_schem, o.object_name AS table_name, o.object_type AS table_type, NULL AS remarks FROM all_objects o WHERE o.owner LIKE :1 ESCAPE :"SYS_B_0" AND o.object_name LIKE :2 ESCAPE :"SYS_B_1" AND o.object_type IN(:"SYS_B_2", :"SYS_B_3") ORDER BY table_type, table_schem, table_name Our application does not execute this query, I believe it is an Hibernate internal query. I've found little information on why Hibernate does this extremely heavy query, so any help in how to avoid it very much appreciated! The production enviroment information: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 (Tikanga), JDK 1.5, web container OC4J (whitin Oracle Application Server), Oracle Database 10.1.0.4, JDBC Driver for JDK 1.2 and 1.3, Hibernate version 3.2.6.ga, connection pool library C3P0 version 0.9.1.   • Pass a variable to a Symfony Form

    Hi, I am building a web application using Symfony 1.4 and Doctrine for a school and I want to make a very simple form to add a course to a student. The main problem I have is that in the drop down list I only want to show the courses in which the student is currently not enrolled. I already have a function in the model (in Student.class.php) which returns all the courses in which the student is not enrolled but the problem is I don't know how to pass the student to the configure() of the form. I have tried several options like passing it with the constructor of the form to a global variable or a special set method but none of them have worked. Is there any form to pass the student to the configure() method? Thanks!

  • How do I log from inside my web application in Tomcat 6.

    How do I log from within my web application deployed on Tomcat 6? Where should I expect the logging output to go (internal tomcat log files, or will another logfile be generated)? I see a ton of documentation but am having a hard time finding a direct answer to the above questions. Where should I expect the logging to show up (currently it is log4j is not generating a log file and it is not showing up in my console).   • Android fragments problems different layouts

    I have two layouts: one for portait with one container and another for landscape with two containers.   • Languages and development methodologies

    Having never worked with Ruby on Rails, I looked it up on Wikipedia. It says It is intended to be used with an Agile development methodology that is used by web developers for rapid development. This got me asking how a given language/framework can be more appropriate for given development methodologies. Are there certain languages that are more friendly for pair programming, for instance? Are there language features that make certain methodologies are more appropriate? Are there features that make certain methodologies impossible? My initial reaction is to dismiss the connection (the design process is a business process, which is more dependent on business needs that language features). But I'm an only programmer within the firm, and I'm a partner, so I get to decide the business needs. What do you think? Also, if the SO community finds that certain languages point towards certain methodologies, what methodology is most common for c#, which is what I use most of the time?

  • Try-Catch-Throw in the same Java class

    Is it possible to catch a method in the current class the try-catch block is running on? for example: public static void arrayOutOfBoundsException(){ System.out.println("Array out of bounds"); } ..... public static void doingSomething(){ try { if(something[i] >= something_else); } catch (arrayOutOfBoundsException e) { System.out.println("Method Halted!, continuing doing the next thing"); } } If this is possible how will it be the correct way to call the catch method? If this is not possible, could anyone point me in the right direction, of how to stop an exception from halting my program execution in Java without having to create any new classes in the package, or fixing the code that produces ArrayOutOfBoundsException error.   • PHP client for asmx service

    A few days ago I was in charge of the development of some webServices for a client, the thing is that the client also asked for a php client that consumes the webservices. The service were published online on a server, with public access, right now I can see the wsdl from any computer, but when trying to consume it with PHP it shows me an error that says something about HTTP header and blablabla, that happened before I connected with a VPN to the server where the service is being hosted, after doing the VPN just by curiosity I reloaded the php client, and I don't know why... It did worked.... Q: Can anybody tell me why did this happened?

  • How can I pause a BackgroundWorker? Or something similar...

    I was using a BackgroundWorker to download some web sites by calling WebClient.DownloadString inside a loop. I wanted the option for the user to cancel in the middle of downloading stuff, so I called CancelAsync whenever I found that CancellationPending was on in the middle of the loop. But now I noticed that the function DownloadString kinda freezes sometimes, so I decided to use DownloadStringAsync instead (all this inside the other thread created with BackgroundWorker). An since and don't want to rewrite my whole code by having to exit the loop and the function after calling DownloadStringAsync, I made a while loop right after calling it that does nothing but checks for a variable bool Stop that I turn true either when the DownloadStringCompleted event handler is called or when the user request to cancel the operation. Now, the weird thing is that it works fine on the debug version, but on the release one, the program freezes in the while loop like if it were the main thread.

    Hi! I'm trying to connect to one URL that I know that exist but I don't know when. I don't have access to this server so I can't change anything to receive a event. The actual code is this. I'm opening a new connection every 3 seconds? or the connection is reused? If I call to disconnect() I ensure that no new connections are open in the loop, but... it will impact in performance?. Suggestions? What is the fast/best ways to know it a URL exist?
