  • Joomla - template dissapearing

    Hello, I have a Joomla Website located at http://www.MikeSilvis.com, and upon going to the site initially everything looks fine. However if you go into the site and click any link say web-design You can see that the default template is no longer being displayed. I have tried changing to a different template but that does not seem to help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

  • Setting a PHP $_SESSION['var'] using jQuery

    I need to set a PHP $_SESSION variable using the jQuery. IF the user clicks on an image I want to save a piece of information associated with that image as a session variable in php. I think I can do this by calling a php page or function and appending that piece of info to the query string. Any ideas. I have found little help through google. thanks mike

    Hi, I have an array: $arr = array('foo', 'bar', 'bash', 'monkey', 'badger'); I want to have the elements in that array appear as the variables in my list(): list($foo, $bar, $bash, $monkey, $badger) = $data; Without actually specifying the variables, I tried; list(implode(",$", $arr)) = $data; and list(extract($arr)) = $data; But they don't work, I get: Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context Does anyone have any idea whether this is possible?     Hi, I'm developing a Work item Custom Control and I need to use the standard VS's Merge Wizard for items in source control from my code to allow to user choose the target branch, resolve conflicts etc. I'm pretty sure it's possible in some way (even through the reflection), but I just can't find the proper class in any of VS client assemblies (Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Controls.dll, Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.dll).     Hi, Do I have the 64 bit of JDK installed on my machine? My java -version says: C:\Documents and Settings\Administratorjava -version java version "1.6.0_20" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_20-b02) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.3-b01, mixed mode) Should I expect a performance improvement in using a 64 bit compiler versus a 32 bit one?   • Lighttpd check request headers in configuration

    Hi I was wondering if it was possible in the configuration of Lighttpd to read request headers, I've searched and searched.. apparently it's not possible. For example, conditional configuration based upon IP address: $HTTP["remoteip"] == "0.0.0.0" { // Do something } Is there something similar to check headers, for example: $HTTP["X-Some-Header"] == "Value" { // Do something } I'm thinking there isn't but thought I would post here as a last resort. Google didn't help much, and Lighttpd documentation would suggest this is not possible. Thanks Mike

  • Using SalesForce's Web Service to create and set the type of a Task

    I am successfully creating a Task using the SalesForce API SOAP API through Java. However, my problem is that I can't seem to set the Type of it. They all default to "Call" but I really want them to be "Email". Can someone point me in the direction of where I can do this? I think it is to do with RecordTypeMapping, but i am somewhat confused as to how to use this in my Java code to look up the particular one for Task type. I feel I have got so close with this. I have the correct WSDL that is giving me the extra method on the Task.java class, but no matter what I pass in, it dies. This doesn't seem to be a huge ask, yet i am perplexed as to which dots to join to get it to work Any help would be appreciated. thanks

    In the iPod app, the navigation views have the default status bar style, and the Now Playing view is in the black style. The transition between them is animated with a crossfade. I want to do that.     hi, I would like to detect the direction of the current typing (input) language. I may detect the language by means of "GetKeyboardLayout", but then I'll have to check if it equals to Arabic or Hebrew and so on, is there any way just to detect the direction, i.e. left to right or right to left. thanks! mike.

    In a Python program I'm writing I've compared using a for loop and increment variables versus list comprehension with map(itemgetter) and len() when counting entries in dictionaries which are in a list. It takes the same time using a each method. Am I doing something wrong or is there a better approach? Here is a greatly simplified and shortened data structure: list = [ {'key1': True, 'dontcare': False, 'ignoreme': False, 'key2': True, 'filenotfound': 'biscuits and gravy'}, {'key1': False, 'dontcare': False, 'ignoreme': False, 'key2': True, 'filenotfound': 'peaches and cream'}, {'key1': True, 'dontcare': False, 'ignoreme': False, 'key2': False, 'filenotfound': 'Abbott and Costello'}, {'key1': False, 'dontcare': False, 'ignoreme': True, 'key2': False, 'filenotfound': 'over and under'}, {'key1': True, 'dontcare': True, 'ignoreme': False, 'key2': True, 'filenotfound': 'Scotch and... well... neat, thanks'} ] Here is the for loop version: #!/usr/bin/env python # Python 2.6 # count the entries where key1 is True # keep a separate count for the subset that also have key2 True key1 = key2 = 0 for dictionary in list: if dictionary["key1"]: key1 += 1 if dictionary["key2"]: key2 += 1 print "Counts: key1: " + str(key1) + ", subset key2: " + str(key2) Output for the data above: Counts: key1: 3, subset key2: 2 Here is the other, perhaps more Pythonic, version: #!/usr/bin/env python # Python 2.6 # count the entries where key1 is True # keep a separate count for the subset that also have key2 True from operator import itemgetter KEY1 = 0 KEY2 = 1 getentries = itemgetter("key1", "key2") entries = map(getentries, list) key1 = len([x for x in entries if x[KEY1]]) key2 = len([x for x in entries if x[KEY1] and x[KEY2]]) print "Counts: key1: " + str(key1) + ", subset key2: " + str(key2) Output for the data above (same as before): Counts: key1: 3, subset key2: 2 I'm a tiny bit surprised these take the same amount of time. I wonder if there's something faster. I'm sure I'm overlooking something simple. One alternative I've considered is loading the data into a database and doing SQL queries, but the data doesn't need to persist and I'd have to profile the overhead of the data transfer, etc., and a database may not always be available. I have no control over the original form of the data. The code above is not going for style points.

  • Jetty with a custom JUL logger

    I feel this should be easier, or I am missing something obvious. I am trying to use our custom JUL logging library with Jetty. No matter where I put the JAR file for the custom logger, it is not found. I have tried the usual suspects; /lib/, /lib/ext/, /WEB-INF/lib/ and even manually added it to the classpath. 2011-06-29 15:27:34.518::INFO: Started [email protected]:8080 Can't load log handler "net.aw20.logshot.client.LogShotHandler" java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.aw20.logshot.client.LogShotHandler java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.aw20.logshot.client.LogShotHandler at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:217) I am starting up Jetty using "-jar start.jar" technique. Searching around, I have spotted a couple of threads that talk about this problem, but with no resolution. Or if there was, they didn't answer with their solution. Can anyone help on this front?   • Ripping a CD to mp3 in C# - third party component or api out there?

    We're working on a project that requires the ripping of audio tracks from CDs to MP3s (ideally also retrieving the track information from CDDB or similar). More background information: Various music labels send us CDs of music which we then deliver to people via an online delivery system. We're looking at automating the process of converting those CDs into MP3s with full track information where possible. We want to produce a simple desktop application that allows a member of editorial staff to setup the information about the new music we receive. To streamline the process we'd like to include the ripping of the audio and retrieval of the track information.

  • Merging tables in MySQL - sum up columns

    I have an interesting problem, that i am sure has a simple answer, but i can't seem to find it in the docs. I have two separate database tables, on different servers. They are both identical table schema with the same primary keys. I want to merge the tables together on one server. But, if the row on Server1.Table1 exists in Server2.Table2 then sum up the totals in the columns i specify. Table1{ column_pk, counter }; "test1", 3 "test2", 4 Table2{ column_pk, counter }; "test1", 5 "test2", 6 So after i merge i want: "test1",8 "test2",10 Basically i need to do a mysqldump but instead of it kicking out raw INSERT statements, i need to do a INSERT..ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE statements. What are my options? Appreciate any input, thank you
